Abstract

Background: Mental disorders are a major health problem, with cases at Bumi Community Health Center increasing from 54 in 2019, 63 in 2020, and 72 in 2021. People with mental disorders experience a self-care deficit in meeting basic needs. Therefore, families are required to develop their own skills in caring for people with mental disorders. Caregiver behavior can be influenced by psychoeducation, knowledge, and family support. Purpose: To determine the perception of psychoeducation, knowledge, and support for caregiver behavior in caring for people with mental disorders. Method: This study used a descriptive analytical correlational approach. A sample of 67 respondents was obtained using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using the chi-square test. Results: Based on statistical tests, it was found that caregiver psychoeducation was included in the good category (62.7%), had high knowledge (58.2%), and family support (50.7%). Psychoeducation, knowledge, and family support had a positive and significant influence on behavior in caring for people with mental disorders. The most dominant factor in influencing caregiver behavior in nurses with people with mental disorders was psychoeducation (OR: 15.544), after being controlled for family support and knowledge. Conclusion: Family knowledge and support have a positive and significant influence on caregiver behavior in caring for people with mental illness. However, psychoeducation remains the most dominant factor influencing caregiver behavior, after controlling for family support and knowledge.   Keyword: Caregivers; Knowledge; People with Mental Disorders; Psychoeducation; Support.   Pendahuluan: Gangguan jiwa menjadi masalah kesehatan yang utama, karena kasus gangguan jiwa di Puskesmas Bumi mengalami peningkatan yaitu pada tahun 2019 mencapai 54 kasus, tahun 2020 mencapai 63 kasus, dan tahun 2021 mencapai 72 kasus. Orang dalam Gangguan Jiwa (OdGJ) mengalami defisit perawatan diri dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan dasar. Oleh karena itu, keluarga dituntut untuk memiliki kemampuan sendiri dalam merawat OdGJ. Perilaku caregiver dapat dipengaruhi oleh psikoedukasi, pengetahuan, dan dukungan keluarga. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui persepsi psikoedukasi, pengetahuan, dan dukungan terhadap perilaku caregiver dalam merawat orang dengan gangguan jiwa. Metode: Jenis penelitian analitik dengan pendekatan deskriptif korelasional. Sampel yang dilibatkan sebanyak 67 responden, diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan dianalisis menggunakan uji chi square. Hasil: Berdasarkan uji statistik didapatkan bahwa psikoedukasi caregiver termasuk dalam kategori baik (62.7%), memiliki pengetahuan tinggi (58.2%), dan keluarga memberikan dukungan (50.7%). Psikoedukasi, pengetahuan dan dukungan keluarga memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku pada perawat OdGJ. Faktor yang paling dominan dalam memengaruhi perilaku caregiver pada perawat dengan OdGJ adalah faktor psikoedukasi (OR: 15.544), setelah dikontrol oleh faktor dukungan keluarga dan pengetahuan. Simpulan: Pengetahuan dan dukungan keluarga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap perilaku caregiver dalam merawat OdGJ. Namun, faktor yang paling dominan dalam memengaruhi perilaku caregiver adalah faktor psikoedukasi setelah dikontrol oleh faktor dukungan keluarga dan pengetahuan.   Kata Kunci: Caregiver; Dukungan; Orang dengan Gangguan Jiwa (OdGJ); Pengetahuan; Psikoedukasi.

Abstract

Anemia merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan yang masih menjadi perhatian global, terutama di negara-negara berkembang seperti Indonesia. Anemia sering kali disebabkan oleh kekurangan zat besi, yang dapat terjadi akibat pola makan tidak seimbang, kurangnya asupan gizi mikro, serta faktor sosial-ekonomi yang memengaruhi akses terhadap makanan bergizi. Pada anak usia sekolah (6-12 tahun), anemia dapat menghambat proses belajar dan berkontribusi pada penurunan produktivitas di masa depan. Selain itu, kurangnya pemahaman tentang pentingnya gizi seimbang di kalangan anak-anak dan orang tua juga menjadi faktor pemicu persistensi masalah ini. Oleh karena itu, deteksi dini anemia dan edukasi gizi menjadi langkah strategis untuk mencegah dampak jangka panjang yang merugikan. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendekatan preventif melalui skrining anemia menggunakan metode sederhana dan efektif, serta memberikan edukasi gizi kepada anak-anak, guru, dan orang tua. Metode yang digunakan adalah dengan screening anemia memalui pemeriksaan HB dan dilanjutkan dengan pemberian edukasi kesehatan tentang gizi pada anemia melalui metode ceramah dan tanya jawab. Media yang digunakan berupa power point terkait Gizi pada Anemia. Sebelum dan sesudah dilberikan edukasi, diberikan kuesioner untuk mengukur tingkat pengetahuan. Hasil pemeriksaan Hemoglobin menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas VI SDN Lebak Wangi, Kabupaten Tangerang mayoritas siswa (60,6%) memiliki kadar Hb normal. Namun, terdapat 12 siswa (36,3%) yang mengalami anemia ringan-sedang. Ditemukan 1 siswa (3,0%) dengan anemia berat (Hb 6,6 g/dL) yang memerlukan rujukan segera. Berdasarkan hasil pengisian kuesioner tingkat pengetahuan tentang anemia menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan tingkat pengetahuan sebelum dan setelah diberikan edukasi tentang gizi ada anemia. Sebelum diberikan edukasi didapatkan data Siswa kelas VI SDN Lebak Wangi, Kabupaten Tangerang.

Abstract

According to UNICEF, by 2050, an estimated 2.2 billion children will face the direct impacts of global warming, with heat stress identified as a key consequence. This article presents a global systematic literature review examining the psychosocial vulnerability of children exposed to extreme weather. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, relevant studies were identified through searches on ResearchGate, Google Scholar, and PubMed. The review focused on publications from 2020 to 2025 and ultimately included eight studies that met the inclusion criteria. A total of 62 articles were initially screened. The findings reveal that exposure to high temperatures significantly increases the risk of mental health issues in children, such as stress, sleep disturbances, depressive episodes, and post-traumatic stress disorder. These psychosocial effects highlight the urgent need to enhance the resilience of vulnerable children and their families, enabling them not only to cope with the effects of climate change but also to adapt to evolving environmental conditions. Strengthening social and emotional support systems is essential to mitigate the long-term psychological impact of climate-induced extreme weather on younger populations.

Abstract

Background: Dysmenorrhea is pain or abdominal cramps that occur during menstruation. Dysmenorrhea can have an impact on adolescent girls as it can disrupt daily activities, especially learning activities at school, due to the intensity of menstrual pain experienced. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between dysmenorrhea intensity and learning activities in adolescent female students at SMPN 4 Kalanganyar. Method: This type of research uses a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study was female students at SMPN 4 Kalanganyar, totaling 95 people. The sampling technique used was total sampling, where the sample size was equal to the population. The data analysis used was the chi-square test. Result:The chi-square test results showed a p-value of 0.000 (p <0.05). Conclusion: These results indicate that there is a relationship between dysmenorrhea intensity and learning activities in adolescent female students at SMPN 4 Kalanganyar

Abstract

Background: Adolescence is a transitional period from childhood to adulthood characterized by rapid changes in physical, emotional, social, and psychological aspects, making adolescents vulnerable to mental health disorders. Adolescent mental health is influenced by parenting styles (democratic, authoritarian, permissive) that shape personality, as well as peer support, which is the primary source of emotional support. Research Objective: To determine the relationship between parenting and peer social support with adolescent mental health at SMP Negeri 2 Pakuhaji. Research Methods: This type of research is correlational analytic with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was proportionate stratified random sampling. The sample used in this study was 102 respondents. The instruments used were parenting questionnaire, Social Provision Scale (SPS) questionnaire and Self Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ-20). Research results: The results of statistical tests showed that the p-value between parenting patterns and adolescent mental health was 0.000 <0.05. The p-value between peer social support and adolescent mental health is 0.000<0.05. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between parenting and peer social support with adolescent mental health at SMP Negeri 2 Pakuhaji.

Abstract

Background: Child sexual abuse is sexual coercion or exploitation that is inappropriate for the child's age or emotional condition, including various sexual acts. In 2023, there were 10,932 cases of child sexual abuse in Indonesia. The high rate of sexual abuse is due to a lack of information about sexuality, which is considered taboo. Objective: The objective of this study is to determine whether educational videos have an effect on the level of knowledge and personal safety skills in preventing child sexual abuse at SDN Kebon Besar 2 Elementary School in Tangerang City. Method: This study used a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental research design and a two-group design. The study population consisted of 70 respondents, with a sample size of 45 people. Bivariate analysis in this study used a bivariate test using a t-test. Results: The results of the study showed that the level of knowledge in the intervention group increased by 9.78 with a p-value of 0.000 (α 0.05), and personal safety skills in the intervention group increased by 24.00 with a p-value of 0.266 (α 0.05). Conclusion: Educational videos significantly affected knowledge of preventing child sexual violence, but not personal safety skills.

Abstract

Background: Tuberculosis is a lung infection known as TB. Prolonged treatment of tuberculosis often causes tuberculosis patients stress or depression. Poor psychological conditions can reduce the motivation of patients to undergo long and complex treatment. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of depression and the quality of life of tuberculosis (TB) patients at Pakuhaji Hospital, Tangerang Regency. Method: The method used in this study is quantitative with a correlational analytical design. The sampling method in this study is by accidental sampling. The sample used in this study was 87 respondents. The instruments used in this study were the standard questionnaire Zung Self-rating Depresssion Scale (ZSDS) and the World Health Organization Quality Of Life- BREF (WHOQOL-BREF). Results: The results of the chi-square test were obtained with a P Value of 0.001 < from a significant value (α = 0.05). Conclusion: The results of this study show that there is a relationship between the level of depression and the quality of life of people with tuberculosis (TB).

Abstract

Background: Adolescence is a transitional period from childhood to adulthood, beginning at the onset of puberty and continuing until maturity is reached. The use of smartphones can have both positive and negative impacts on teenagers. On the positive side, teenagers have access to resources for learning, the ability to communicate remotely, and the opportunity to learn online. On the other hand, they may experience a decrease in physical activity, which can lead to laziness in studying, eye strain, and disturbances in sleep quality. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between smartphone usage intensity and sleep quality among 10th and 11th grade students at SMAN 1 Kramatwatu. Method: This research employs a quantitative study design with a cross-sectional approach involving 261 respondents from SMAN 1 Kramatwatu. There are a total of 592 students in 10th and 11th grades, with 300 students in 10th grade and 292 students in 11th grade. The sampling method used is probability sampling, specifically simple random sampling. Respondents from each class were selected using the Stratified Random Sampling formula. Data were analyzed using the chi-square statistical test. Result: The univariate analysis revealed that the majority of respondents were in mid-adolescence, totaling 233 respondents (85.4%). Based on gender, most respondents were male, totaling 177 respondents (67.8%). The chi-square test analysis indicated a statistically significant relationship between smartphone usage intensity and sleep quality among adolescents, with a P value of 0.000. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between smartphone usage intensity and sleep quality among adolescents.

Abstract

Background: Smoking is a serious health problem among adolescents due to the increasing number of novice smokers at school age. Smoking behavior in adolescents can be influenced by various factors, including the level of knowledge about smoking and peer support. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about smoking and peer support with smoking behavior in students at SMKS Mathla'ul Anwar Buaranjati. Method: This research method applies quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was 103 students. Sampling used the Stratified Random sampling technique with a sample size of 90 respondents. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Results: The results of bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test showed that there was a relationship between the level of knowledge with smoking behavior (p value = 0.037) and peer support with smoking behavior (p value = 0.025). Conclusion: There is a relationship between the level of knowledge and peer support with smoking behavior in students at SMKS Mathla'ul Anwar Buaranjati.

Abstract

Background: Anxiety is an undefined and pervasive feeling of discomfort, associated with uncertainty and helplessness. Anxiety can be seen directly through changes in a person's physiology and behavior, both directly and indirectly through cognitive and affective responses. Anxiety in adolescents is often characterized by an emotional state that arises from feelings of stress accompanied by significant physical reactions. Butterfly Hug is a therapy that involves techniques to help individuals feel better by suggesting themselves. This technique can significantly increase blood oxygen levels and provide a sense of calm. Objective: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Butterfly Hug therapy on anxiety in students of SMP Negeri 169 West Jakarta. Method: This study uses a Quasy Experiment research design with a one group Pre-test and Post-test design. This design does not involve a control group. Result: There is an influence of Butterfly Hug on anxiety with a sig value <0.05, namely a P-value of 0.000. Conclusion: The average level of anxiety before the Butterfly Hug intervention was 30.89 with a min-max anxiety level of 25-41. After the intervention, a value of 14.7 was obtained with a min-max anxiety level of 2-26. So the results show that there is an effect of the Butterfly Hug technique on anxiety.
