Abstract

This study describes the conflict over the conflict over the holy land of three divine religions in Jerusalem during the Israeli period, namely, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, as the religion with the largest adherents on earth. The choice of this theme is considered important because of the dynamics of the struggle for territory that has civilizations that are connected to each other between the three divine religions, with the Prophet Ibrahim AS as the father of the prophets as well as the ancestor of their religion. The researchers took two theories that were used, among others, social action theory from Max Weber, and social conflict theory from Dahdrendorf. Yerusalem It has an important history for these three heavenly religions, presenting a sense of wanting to control and claim the holy city of Jerusalem as a city that belongs only to one religion. A re-reading of the history of Jerusalem has shown the historical spectrum of the social life of the three divine religions in Jerusalem.

Abstract

The Real Work Lecture Programme at DTA Al Risalah Pangandaran uses the Nadzom technique to teach Arabic language acquisition. Studies have focused on humans since they are distinct and varied social animals in many domains, including language. Arabic, a multilingual tongue, is essential to Muslims for religious and communicational purposes. Arabic language education is crucial for giving kids a strong foundation, especially in their early years. The Nadzom method—which includes activities including material preparation, song selection, Arabic language instruction, voice training, group exercises, discussion sessions, and performances—is used to approach this learning. Children will be able to comprehend and use Arabic in their daily lives thanks to this learning technique.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the dynamics of Pangandaran fishermen's lives 1970-2012: socio-economic transformation in the context of a maritime nation. With a focus on social, economic and political changes in Indonesia as a maritime nation. During this period, fishermen shifted from traditional fishing gear to modern technology, increasing their catch and changing their economic mindset. This study highlights how technological changes, government policies, and globalization affect fishermen's lives and their impact on their welfare and community identity. The method used is the historical method through literature studies. Data are taken from primary and secondary sources, such as history books and journal articles. The results of this study indicate that in the midst of modernization, Pangandaran fishermen still maintain local traditions and maritime culture, reflecting their existence against changing times. The adaptation of fishermen in maintaining local traditions in the midst of modernization shows that maritime culture is not only a heritage, but also a potential to be developed as an identity and economic strength of a maritime nation. Comparative research is needed with other coastal areas in Indonesia to understand the pattern of fishermen's transformation in different cultural, geographical and policy contexts, as a basis for formulating a holistic national maritime strategy.

Abstract

This research is entitled Intellectual Propaganda of the Indische Partij: Media and Education Strategies in Raising National Consciousness (1912-1925). Amidst colonial domination, Indische Partij faced significant challenges in fostering unity among a society fragmented by ethnic differences, social classes, and colonial political influences. This study aims to analyze Indische Partij strategies in utilizing media and education as propaganda tools to overcome these challenges and drive national consciousness. The historical method, which includes heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography, was employed in the preparation of this article. Additionally, qualitative analysis and a historical approach were applied through an examination of archival documents, publications, and educational texts designed by Indische Partij . The findings reveal that media played a crucial role in widely and rapidly disseminating ideas of unity and independence, particularly through provocative articles criticizing colonial policies. On the other hand, education was used as a long-term strategy to shape national character by instilling values of justice, equality, and unity among the younger generation. These findings demonstrate that the combination of media and education as propaganda tools successfully influenced public discourse and laid the initial foundation for national awareness. Indische Partij strategies not only addressed the colonial challenges of their time but also served as an inspiration for subsequent nationalist movements in the struggle for Indonesia's independence.

Abstract

Abstract

This article examines the founding of the Sonobudoyo Museum in 1935 as a form of indigenous cultural articulation within a space still governed by colonial power. Using historical methods and a postcolonial theoretical framework, the study draws upon primary sources from Djåwå journal archives and secondary literature on colonial museology, cultural nationalism, and tropical architecture. The findings indicate that while conceived within colonial frameworks, the museum served as a site of symbolic negotiation that enabled expressions of local cultural agency through traditional architectural forms, indigenous curatorial practices, and the active involvement of local rulers. The museum not only inherited the failures of a previous 1885 museum project but also served as a symbolic corrective. As such, Sonobudoyo represents a “third space” where cultural identity was hybridized and rearticulated at the intersection of colonial structures and local emancipatory aspirations.
