Abstract

ABSTRAKKeterampilan berpikir kritis merupakan modal dasar dalam mengambil keputusan dan memecahkan masalah. Untuk meningkatkan keterampilan tersebut, salah satu alternatifnya adalah menerapkan strategi pembelajaran SLIM-N-BIL (Spasial-visual, Linguistik-verbal, Interpersonal, Musikal-Ritmik, Naturalis, Badan-kinestetik, Intrapersonal, dan Logis-matematis). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan berpikir kritis matematik siswa setelah memperoleh strategi pembelajaran SLIM-N-BIL. Untuk mengarah kepada tujuan tersebut, maka penelitian ini menelaah keterampilan berpikir kritis matematik siswa dengan menggunakan strategi pembelajaran SLIM-N-BIL pada setiap siklus. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan metode penelitian tindakan kelas dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas V SD Tulus Kartika Bandung dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 20 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, tes formatif dan tes akhir untuk mengukur keterampilan berpikir kritis matematik siswa. Hasil penelitian ini keterampilan berpikir kritis matematik siswa pada setiap siklus berkategori baik, dan ketuntasan belajar klasikal siswa berkategori baik.Kata kunci: keterampilan berpikir kritis, strategi pembelajaran SLIM-N-BIL.ABSTRACTCritical thinking skills are the basic capital in making decisions and problemsolving. To improve these skills, one alternative is to implement SLIM-N-BIL learning strategies (Spatial-visual, Linguistic-verbal, Interpersonal, Musical-Rhythmic, Naturalist, Body-kinesthetic, Intrapersonal, and Logical-Mathematical). This study aims to determine the students' critical mathematical thinking skills after obtaining the SLIM-N-BIL learning strategy. Leading to this goal, this study examines students' critical mathematical thinking skills using the SLIM-N-BIL learning strategy in each cycle. This research was conducted with classroom action research methods with research subjects of fifth grade students of SD Tulus Kartika Bandung with a total of 20 students. The instruments were usedare student activity observation sheets, formative tests and final tests to measure students' critical thinking skills. The results of this study are the mathematical critical thinking skills of students in each cycle are good, and the completeness of learning classical students is good categorize.Keywords: critical thinking skills, SLIM-N-BIL learning strategies.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematical problem solving ability of students in class VIII MTs Al-Mubarok due to the lack of application of learning models. This study aims to determine the improvement of students' mathematical problem solving abilities who obtained the SAVI learning model with the help of teaching aids better than those using conventional learning models. The method that will be used in this research is quasi-experimental. The population of this study were students of MTs Al Mubarok while the samples were class VIII A and class VIII B. The material given was statistics. The results showed that  so that the increase in mathematical problem solving abilities of students who learned to use the SAVI model with the help of teaching aids was better than students who learned to use conventional models.

Abstract

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengaruh kebutuhan akan kognisi dan efikasi diri matematis, baik secara parsial maupun simultan, terhadap kecenderungan berpikir reflektif. Dilakukan pada 74 responden mahasiswa program studi Teknik Informatika Universitas Sebelas April. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui teknik korelasional dan regresi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari kebutuhan akan kognisi dan efikasi diri matematis, baik secara parsial maupun simultan, terhadap kecenderungan berpikir reflektif. Hasil ini menekankan pentingnya integrasi aspek kebutuhan akan kognitif dan efikasi diri matematis dalam pengajaran matematika untuk membentuk kecenderungan berpikir reflektif. This research aims to explore the influence of the need for cognition and mathematical self-efficacy, both partially and simultaneously, on the tendency to think reflectively. Conducted on 74 respondents from the Informatics Engineering study program at Sebelas April University. This research uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach through correlational and regression techniques. The findings show that there is a significant influence of the need for cognition and mathematical self-efficacy, both partially and simultaneously, on the tendency to think reflectively. These results emphasize the importance of integrating aspects of cognitive need and mathematical self-efficacy in mathematics teaching to form reflective thinking tendencies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan koneksi matematis khususnya pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tanjungsiang. Salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dengan menerapkan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek (PjBL). Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis pada siswa yang memperoleh model PjBL dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa tes kemampuan koneksi matematis dalam bentuk uraian. Populasi penelitian siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tanjungsiang yang seluruhnya terdiri dari 8 kelas, kemudian diambil dua kelas sampel yaitu kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII A sebagai kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data dengan menggunakan uji t pada taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh t_hitung yaitu 6,7627 dan t_tabel yaitu 1,9944. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis pada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model PjBL lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi penting dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk memenuhi kebutuhan beragam siswa. Meskipun telah ada kesadaran akan strategi ini, banyak guru di Kabupaten Sumedang yang masih menghadapi tantangan dalam penerapannya, terutama dalam penggunaan media digital sebagai alat bantu. Guru yang seharusnya mampu menerapkan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan tingkat kemampuan masing-masing siswa, ditemukan adanya kesenjangan dalam pemahaman dan penerapan strategi tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat pemahaman dan penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi oleh guru, mengevaluasi penggunaan media digital, serta mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasinya. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan dengan pengumpulan data melalui angket dan wawancara wawancara semi-terstruktur yang melibatkan 30 guru matematika dari berbagai Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola dan tema yang muncul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun guru menyadari pentingnya pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, penerapannya masih belum optimal. Guru telah menggunakan media digital, tetapi keterampilan teknis guru masih terbatas. Tantangan lain yang dihadapi oleh guru adalah perbedaan kemampuan siswa dalam satu kelas, yang membuat penerapan strategi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi menjadi lebih kompleks.

Abstract

The low interest in learning mathematics for vocational students is still a problem in the world of education. The orientation of vocational education emphasizes the application of knowledge in practical and real contexts. Therefore, the relevance of each subject to the competence of students’ expertise is important. This study aims to determine the interest in learning mathematics of grade X APAT students at SMK PPN Tanjungsari in aquascape project-based learning. The research method used is qualitative descriptive. Data was collected through observation sheets, student interest questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the average percentage of student learning interest. The results showed that students' interest in learning mathematics in aquascape project-based learning reached a high level, which was 67.32%. These results can make a positive contribution to learning practices and provide a foundation for further research in the fields of mathematics, science, and Landscaping and Gardening. The implications of these results could be the basis for the development of more effective and interest-oriented learning strategies for subsequent students.

Abstract

This study was driven by the low mathematical problem-solving abilities of students. To address this issue, Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model, supported by GeoGebra software, was implemented as an intervention. The research aimed to determine whether students taught using the TTW learning model assisted by GeoGebra demonstrate greater improvement in mathematical problem-solving skills compared to those taught through conventional methods. This quasi-experimental study employed a quantitative approach with a non-equivalent control group design. The sampel in this research was class VII-G, with 28 students and Class VII-H, with 26 students. Data were collected using a mathematical problem-solving ability test and analyzed quantitatively. The gain index results indicated that the experimental class experienced a higher improvement in problem-solving skills than the control class. Furthermore, the t' test at a 5% significance level confirmed significant differences in mathematical problem-solving abilities between the two groups. Thus, it can be concluded that the TTW learning model assisted by GeoGebra software significantly enhanced students' mathematical problem-solving abilities compared to conventional learning methods.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an interactive e-module based on the RME approach, focusing on parallel lines and angles. The e-module was designed using a development studies approach with two main stages: preliminary and formative evaluation. These included self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one trials, small group trials, and field tests. Data were collected through validation sheets, student response questionnaires, pretests, and posttests. The e-module was deemed valid and practical, with average validation scores from experts and students of 4.4 and 4.89, respectively. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the e-module was measured using T-Test and N-Gain analysis, which showed a significant improvement of 38% in students' mathematical reasoning skills. The findings demonstrate that the RME-based interactive e-module is an effective teaching tool for enhancing mathematical reasoning skills, particularly on parallel lines and angles. This e-module provides an alternative solution for teachers to facilitate interactive, context-based, and independent learning, aligning with the demands of 21st-century education. Future research could explore integrating virtual laboratories or GeoGebra software into the e-module and applying it to other mathematical topics, such as angles in polygons

Abstract

This study aims to determine the numeracy literacy level of 8th-grade students at SMP Negeri 9 Sumedang, considering the ongoing challenges in students' ability to interpret, analyze, and solve statistical problems. Many students struggle with numeracy literacy, affecting their ability to make data-driven decisions, which influences their academic achievement, financial literacy, and future employability. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method involving 31 eighth-grade students selected through purposive sampling. Data collection includes students’ numeracy literacy test results on statistical material, interviews, and document analysis. Data analysis follows three stages: data reduction, presentation, and verification. The results indicate that students’ numeracy literacy remains low, with an average test score of 29.3, and only 16% meet the minimum competency level in statistical reasoning. Interviews with two representative students revealed significant difficulties in understanding statistical concepts, particularly in interpreting data from tables and graphs, identifying relevant information for problem-solving, and applying appropriate mathematical strategies. Additionally, students struggled with structuring solutions systematically and drawing meaningful conclusions from statistical data. The primary factors contributing to this low performance include (1) students’ reluctance to engage with lengthy word problems, (2) lack of understanding of prerequisite materials, and (3) difficulties in determining problem-solving strategies. These findings highlight the need for improved instructional strategies to enhance students' statistical reasoning and numeracy literacy. Future research should explore intervention programs that strengthen students’ ability to interpret and apply statistical data in real-world contexts. These findings can help educators design more effective teaching strategies and assist policymakers in developing numeracy-focused curricula that better prepare students for future challenges.
