Abstract

This study was driven by the low mathematical problem-solving abilities of students. To address this issue, Think Talk Write (TTW) learning model, supported by GeoGebra software, was implemented as an intervention. The research aimed to determine whether students taught using the TTW learning model assisted by GeoGebra demonstrate greater improvement in mathematical problem-solving skills compared to those taught through conventional methods. This quasi-experimental study employed a quantitative approach with a non-equivalent control group design. The sampel in this research was class VII-G, with 28 students and Class VII-H, with 26 students. Data were collected using a mathematical problem-solving ability test and analyzed quantitatively. The gain index results indicated that the experimental class experienced a higher improvement in problem-solving skills than the control class. Furthermore, the t' test at a 5% significance level confirmed significant differences in mathematical problem-solving abilities between the two groups. Thus, it can be concluded that the TTW learning model assisted by GeoGebra software significantly enhanced students' mathematical problem-solving abilities compared to conventional learning methods.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan koneksi matematis khususnya pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tanjungsiang. Salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi hal tersebut dengan menerapkan model Pembelajaran Berbasis Proyek (PjBL). Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis pada siswa yang memperoleh model PjBL dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa tes kemampuan koneksi matematis dalam bentuk uraian. Populasi penelitian siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tanjungsiang yang seluruhnya terdiri dari 8 kelas, kemudian diambil dua kelas sampel yaitu kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII A sebagai kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data dengan menggunakan uji t pada taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh t_hitung yaitu 6,7627 dan t_tabel yaitu 1,9944. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis pada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan model PjBL lebih baik daripada siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran konvensional.

Abstract

Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi penting dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk memenuhi kebutuhan beragam siswa. Meskipun telah ada kesadaran akan strategi ini, banyak guru di Kabupaten Sumedang yang masih menghadapi tantangan dalam penerapannya, terutama dalam penggunaan media digital sebagai alat bantu. Guru yang seharusnya mampu menerapkan pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan tingkat kemampuan masing-masing siswa, ditemukan adanya kesenjangan dalam pemahaman dan penerapan strategi tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat pemahaman dan penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi oleh guru, mengevaluasi penggunaan media digital, serta mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi dalam implementasinya. Metodologi yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan dengan pengumpulan data melalui angket dan wawancara wawancara semi-terstruktur yang melibatkan 30 guru matematika dari berbagai Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola dan tema yang muncul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun guru menyadari pentingnya pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, penerapannya masih belum optimal. Guru telah menggunakan media digital, tetapi keterampilan teknis guru masih terbatas. Tantangan lain yang dihadapi oleh guru adalah perbedaan kemampuan siswa dalam satu kelas, yang membuat penerapan strategi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi menjadi lebih kompleks.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop an interactive e-module based on the RME approach, focusing on parallel lines and angles. The e-module was designed using a development studies approach with two main stages: preliminary and formative evaluation. These included self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one trials, small group trials, and field tests. Data were collected through validation sheets, student response questionnaires, pretests, and posttests. The e-module was deemed valid and practical, with average validation scores from experts and students of 4.4 and 4.89, respectively. Furthermore, the effectiveness of the e-module was measured using T-Test and N-Gain analysis, which showed a significant improvement of 38% in students' mathematical reasoning skills. The findings demonstrate that the RME-based interactive e-module is an effective teaching tool for enhancing mathematical reasoning skills, particularly on parallel lines and angles. This e-module provides an alternative solution for teachers to facilitate interactive, context-based, and independent learning, aligning with the demands of 21st-century education. Future research could explore integrating virtual laboratories or GeoGebra software into the e-module and applying it to other mathematical topics, such as angles in polygons.

Abstract

Pendidikan inklusif menuntut tersedianya media pembelajaran yang mampu mengakomodasi kebutuhan siswa dengan hambatan komunikasi, khususnya yang termasuk kategori speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN). Namun, media yang tersedia di sekolah dasar inklusi umumnya masih bersifat umum dan belum sepenuhnya ramah komunikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan guru terhadap media pembelajaran matematika inklusif berbasis komunikasi total sebagai dasar pengembangan media KASUMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan desain analisis kebutuhan. Responden penelitian terdiri atas 32 guru dari 15 sekolah dasar inklusi yang tersebar di 10 kecamatan di Kabupaten Sumedang. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket, wawancara, dan observasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hambatan komunikasi siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika terwujud pada empat aspek utama, yaitu kesulitan memahami instruksi lisan, melafalkan istilah matematika, mengucapkan angka, dan memahami soal cerita. Guru menegaskan kebutuhan yang sangat tinggi terhadap media dengan dukungan audio-visual, aktivitas hands-on, serta fitur interaktif yang fleksibel. Namun, dukungan fasilitas sekolah dan keterlibatan orang tua masih terbatas, sehingga kebutuhan tersebut belum sepenuhnya terpenuhi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa media berbasis komunikasi total yang dikontekstualisasikan dengan kearifan lokal sangat dibutuhkan untuk menjembatani hambatan komunikasi sekaligus memperkuat pemahaman matematika siswa sekolah dasar. Temuan ini memberikan dasar konseptual dan praktis bagi pengembangan media matematika inklusif yang ramah komunikasi, sesuai dengan karakteristik perkembangan anak dan tuntutan Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

Mathematics education in Indonesia continues to face challenges in accommodating diverse student characteristics and connecting mathematical concepts with meaningful cultural contexts. Uniform and procedural teaching practices often hinder the development of conceptual understanding and mathematical literacy. Although differentiated instruction and the integration of local wisdom have been discussed extensively, studies that systematically integrate both within digital mathematics learning media remain limited. This study aims to develop and evaluate BATIK BEKAL (Learning Mathematics through Local Wisdom), a web-based mathematics learning platform integrating differentiated instruction with Kasumedangan local wisdom. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model. Participants included 50 mathematics teachers involved in the needs analysis and 25 junior high school students in a limited classroom implementation. Data were collected through questionnaires, expert validation instruments, classroom observations, and semi-structured interviews. The results indicate that the developed platform demonstrates high pedagogical, technical, and cultural validity and is perceived as practical by both teachers and students. The integration of local wisdom functions as a conceptual scaffold within differentiated mathematics learning. These findings contribute to the development of culturally responsive and adaptive digital mathematics learning media.
