Abstract

Film pendek Satu Pertemuan menceritakan tentang mahasiswa semester akhiryang ingin fokus menyelesaikan skripsinya namun bertemu dengan seorang wanita di aplikasi video call online. Penulis sebagai editor menggunakan penerapan editing ritmis dalam film yang merujuk pada pengaturan dan manipulasi waktu melalui proses penyuntingan untuk menciptakan ritme yang memengaruhi pengalaman penonton. Konsep editing ritmis menggunakan teknik cut to cut yang membantu mengatur alur cerita, menciptakan ketegangan, dan menentukan seberapa cepat atau lambat penonton mengalami perkembangan cerita. Menggunakan metode penciptaan yang telah melalui beberapa tahap SOP dari sebuah produksi, meliputi tahap pra produksi,produksi, dan pasca produksi.

Abstract

Pembuatan film pendek “Satu Pertemuan” bertujuan untuk menghasilkan sebuah karya audio visual yang menarik dan dapat memberikan manfaat bagi masyarakat luas. Dilema yang hadir pada umur-umur saat memasuki dunia perkulihan membuat remaja mengalami keadaan stres. Pada tren akhir-akhir ini banyak media yang membahas tentang ini yang disebut dengan quarter life crisis. Sehingga hadirnya film pendek ini mampu memberikan gambaran dasar dalam membangun mindset. Dalam film pendek mengdaptasi beberapa teori yang dikemukakan Sigmund Freud. Sigmund Freud yang merupakan seorang tokoh psikologi yang cukup nyentrik dalam teori-teori yang ia kemukakan. Teorinya di aplikasikan dalam audio visual pada film pendek “Satu Pertemuan”. Sehingga mise en scene yang dihadirkan akan mengambarkan keadaan psikologi dari tokoh. Yang dirasakan maupun peristiwa yang sedang dialami oleh tokoh di gambarkan kedalam bentuk audio visual.

Abstract

Film dokumenter Authentic Memories mengangkat kisah tentang seni lukis pada acara pernikahan melalui perjalanan kreatif Amadea, seorang seniman yang memilih karier sebagai live wedding painter. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana seni live wedding painting memengaruhi pengalaman pernikahan, baik dari sisi pengantin maupun seniman. Dengan pendekatan gaya ekspositori, film ini menyajikan narasi visual yang mendalam, didukung oleh wawancara langsung dengan Amadea, serta dokumentasi proses kreatif yang autentik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa live wedding painting tidak hanya memperkaya pengalaman emosional dalam pernikahan, tetapi juga menciptakan peluang dalam industri seni di Bali. Melalui kajian ini, diharapkan dapat memberikan perspektif baru mengenai perkembangan industri seni kontemporer di Indonesia, serta menginspirasi generasi muda untuk menggabungkan seni dengan pengalaman pribadi yang bermakna.

Abstract

Film is a complex medium that combines visual, audio, and narrative elements to convey messages to the audience. In the world of filmmaking, the director plays a crucial role as the creative leader who translates the script into a visual work. This research aims to apply the directing style of Mike Leigh, known for his improvisational approach and deep character development, to enhance characterization in the short fiction film titled TROLL. The film addresses the social issue of toxic masculinity, which often has a negative impact on men’s mental health. The research methodology consists of three main stages: pre-production, production, and post-production. During the pre-production phase, extensive research, casting, and vision alignment among the production team are conducted. The production phase focuses on character exploration and realist cinematography techniques. The post-production phase involves visual and audio editing to ensure the final product aligns with the intended vision. The result is a 15-minute short film that successfully portrays the destructive effects of toxic masculinity through an emotional narrative and realistic characters. In conclusion, Mike Leigh’s approach proves effective in creating authentic characters and delivering a profound social message to the audience.

Abstract

Kampus Merdeka is a policy initiated by the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture that allows students to develop interdisciplinary skills, one of which is through the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. In this final report, the author collaborated with Luar Kotak Audiovisual to develop an independent project in the form of a fictional film script titled RERANTING SENJA. This final project discusses the process of creating a fictional film script entitled Reranting Senja, which highlights themes of self-recovery after loss, emotional pressure, and identity exploration. The story centers on the main character, Raka, a photographer experiencing an existential crisis following the death of his father and the emotional strain in his relationship with his partner, Laras. The project adopts the Eight-Sequence Structure (Elizabeth Lutters) as the narrative framework. This structure is used to shape the emotional transitions of the character gradually and dynamically, from the initial set-up, internal conflict, to a resolution that touches both psychological and spiritual aspects. The creative process began with the exploration of themes such as grief and relational tension, which were visualized through elements like photography, silent spaces, and symbols of familial memory. The scriptwriting adopts a character-driven approach, where the narrative development is shaped by the protagonist’s internal conflicts. Elements such as reflective dialogues, still visuals, and dramatic rhythm are used to deepen the atmosphere and evoke emotional responses from the audience. The final result is a fictional script with a duration of approximately 90 minutes, consisting of 28 major scenes that represent the transformative chapters of Raka’s journey. Through Reranting Senja, the author attempts to portray that healing is not about returning to who we once were, but about becoming someone new. This work aims to reflect on mental health issues and the importance of healthy relationships in one’s life, while also contributing to the development of more psychologically and emotionally nuanced screenplay writing.
