Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis seberapa besar pengetahuan kewirausahaan mempengaruhi minat berwirausaha, mendeskripsikan seberapa besar efikasi diri mempengaruhi minat berwirausaha, serta menganalisis seberapa besar pengaruh secara simultan pengetahuan kewirausahaan dan efikasi diri terhadap minat berwirausaha Siswa Kompetensi Keahlian Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan SMK di Kota Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitaif dengan metode ex post facto. Dalam penelitian ini, populasinya adalah siswa kelas XII TKJ di kota Makassar yang berjumlah 148 siswa. Adapun sampel penelitian berjumlah 83 siswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: (1) Pengetahuan kewirausahaan tidak mampu memberikan dampak yang positif serta signifikan terhadap minat berwirausaha, (2) Efikasi diri mampu memberikan dampak positif serta signifikan terhadap minat berwirausaha, (3) Selanjutnya pengetahuan kewirausahaan dan efikasi diri secara simultan memberikan dampak yang positif serta signifikan terhadap minat berwirausaha. Rekomendasi dalam penelitian ini adalah baiknya praktik kewirausahaan yang dilakukan di Sekolah lebih menekankan pada bidang kompetensi keahlian masing-masing agar siswa dapat mengembangkan keahliannya dan menjadi referensi siswa untuk berwirausaha sesuai kompetensi keahlian setelah menempuh pendiidkan di SMK

Abstract

The development of digital technology has made artificial intelligence an integral part of higher education. While its use by university students provides many benefits in supporting academic activities, there are also concerns about its negative impact, especially in relation to academic integrity, dependability, and critical thinking skills. This research aims to identify the positive and negative impacts of the use of artificial intelligence by university students as well as the challenges faced in the context of higher education. The method used was Systematic Literature Review with the PRISMA approach. The total population of articles obtained was 200 articles. Scientific articles were sourced from the Scopus database published between 2022 and 2025. Articles were screened based on inclusion and exclusion criteria and assessed using the CASP (Critical Appraisal Skills Programme) approach, resulting in 19 articles that could be analysed. The results showed that artificial intelligence can improve learning efficiency, strengthen concept understanding, and support student creativity and problem solving. However, there are serious risks such as plagiarism, dissemination of inaccurate information, and decreased motivation to learn independently. Lack of regulation and digital literacy are factors that exacerbate these negative impacts. Therefore, it is important for higher education institutions to urgently create policies for the ethical use of artificial intelligence and provide comprehensive digital literacy training to students. This research provides a scientific basis for policy makers to optimise the benefits of artificial intelligence while mitigating the risks of its use in academia.

Abstract

The transformation of learning in the digital age encourages the use of interactive media that can increase student engagement and academic achievement. One such medium is Kahoot!, a game-based learning platform designed to facilitate active participation. This study aims to analyze the effect of using Kahoot! on student active participation and learning outcomes. The study was conducted using a quantitative correlational approach, employing multiple linear regression analysis to measure the relationship between the independent variable and the two dependent variables, both partially and simultaneously. The research sample consisted of 60 students from the Electronics Engineering Education Program at the University of Makassar during the spring semester of 2024/2025. The instrument used was a validated closed-ended Likert-scale questionnaire, with reliability tested using Cronbach’s Alpha. The results of the study indicate that the use of Kahoot! significantly influences active participation and student learning outcomes, both partially and simultaneously, contributing 49.4% to both variables. The main contribution of this study is to provide the latest empirical evidence on the effectiveness of integrating gamification technology in higher education in Indonesia, as well as demonstrating that Kahoot! can serve as an innovative strategy in designing more interactive, competitive, and adaptive learning experiences to address the challenges of the digital age.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji peran strategis jaringan 5G dalam mendukung implementasi Internet of Things (IoT) pada sektor industri melalui pendekatan studi literatur. Jaringan 5G dinilai krusial karena menawarkan kecepatan tinggi, latensi sangat rendah, dan konektivitas masif yang dibutuhkan oleh sistem industri berbasis IoT. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa keberhasilan penerapan tidak hanya bergantung pada performa jaringan, tetapi juga ditentukan oleh desain antarmuka perangkat keras, efisiensi protokol komunikasi adaptif, serta pemanfaatan edge computing. Inovasi seperti task caching dan protokol ReFlexUp terbukti mampu meningkatkan efisiensi energi, mengurangi latensi, dan memperkuat keamanan sistem. Bukti empiris dari perusahaan seperti Siemens dan BMW menunjukkan bahwa integrasi 5G dan edge computing memberikan manfaat nyata berupa peningkatan produktivitas dan efisiensi operasional. Tantangan utama dalam penerapan mencakup latensi akibat komunikasi SoC-modem, kebutuhan standarisasi, dan risiko keamanan siber. Di sisi lain, pendekatan keamanan terdistribusi berbasis edge serta standarisasi dari lembaga seperti 3GPP dan ETSI memperkuat keandalan sistem. Dengan demikian, integrasi 5G, edge computing, dan IoT dalam sistem industri tidak hanya penting untuk menghadapi tantangan Revolusi Industri 4.0, tetapi juga menjadi landasan menuju transformasi digital industri yang lebih aman, efisien, dan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya pendekatan multidisipliner dalam pengembangan sistem dan protokol, serta pengujian lebih lanjut terhadap performa 5G dalam konteks industri yang beragam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi akurasi dan kinerja metode kendali Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID) dan Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC) pada berbagai aplikasi sistem kontrol modern melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Literatur dianalisis berdasarkan publikasi sepuluh tahun terakhir yang diperoleh dari database ilmiah bereputasi menggunakan kata kunci terkait performansi kendali. Proses seleksi dilakukan melalui kriteria inklusi mencakup pembahasan akurasi, dinamika respons, robustnes, serta konteks sistem linear maupun nonlinear. Hasil sintesis menunjukkan bahwa PID unggul dalam sistem linier yang stabil, sederhana, dan memiliki model matematis yang jelas, sedangkan FLC menunjukkan akurasi, adaptabilitas, serta stabilitas lebih baik pada sistem nonlinear, dinamis, dan yang dipengaruhi gangguan signifikan. FLC dan varian Fuzzy-PID terbukti mampu mengurangi overshoot hingga 30%, mempercepat waktu settling, dan menghasilkan steady-state error lebih kecil dibanding PID. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa pemilihan metode kendali harus mempertimbangkan kompleksitas sistem dan kebutuhan adaptasi. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini memberikan pemetaan komprehensif mengenai keunggulan kontekstual masing-masing metode sebagai dasar bagi pengembangan strategi kendali cerdas di masa depan.

Abstract

The development of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) has prompted higher education institutions to enhance their students' competencies in the development of applications and the management of information systems based on intelligent technology. However, some students of the Electronics Engineering and Information Technology Department still find it difficult to understand the practical implementation of programming and web application development. Therefore, the purpose of this community service activity is to enhance students' ability to develop web applications for managing student data based on AI. The activity is carried out through a practical training method and project-based learning, consisting of a preparation stage, implementation stage, and mentoring stage. The training programme covers web application development, database management, implementation of student data management system features, and the use of AI in application development. The results of the activity show that participants were able to understand the basic concepts of web application development and successfully developed an AI-based student data management system application with login, student data management, search, edit, delete and report features. In addition to improving technical skills, the training programme also increased the students' motivation to learn, their logical thinking abilities, their creativity, and their problem-solving skills. Therefore, this training activity can be an effective way to support the improvement of the quality of human resources in the field of higher vocational education and training, so that they are better prepared to face the challenges of digital technology and AI-based industry.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital pada era Society 5.0 mendorong perguruan tinggi untuk meningkatkan kompetensi mahasiswa dalam bidang teknologi cerdas, salah satunya Internet of Things (IoT). IoT menjadi salah satu teknologi penting yang mendukung transformasi digital pada berbagai sektor seperti pendidikan, industri, kesehatan, dan smart environment. Namun, sebagian mahasiswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami implementasi IoT secara praktis, khususnya dalam integrasi sensor, mikrokontroler, jaringan internet, dan monitoring data berbasis cloud. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi digital mahasiswa melalui pelatihan Internet of Things (IoT). Kegiatan dilaksanakan menggunakan metode praktik langsung dan project-based learning yang terdiri atas tahap persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan pendampingan. Materi pelatihan meliputi pengenalan konsep IoT, penggunaan sensor dan mikrokontroler ESP32/ESP8266, integrasi platform monitoring berbasis cloud, serta pengembangan prototype smart system sederhana. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa mampu memahami konsep dasar IoT dan berhasil membuat prototype monitoring berbasis IoT yang dapat menampilkan data sensor secara real-time melalui internet. Selain meningkatkan keterampilan teknis, pelatihan juga meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, kolaborasi, dan problem solving mahasiswa. Dengan demikian, pelatihan IoT menjadi salah satu upaya efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas kompetensi digital mahasiswa agar lebih siap menghadapi tantangan transformasi teknologi di era Society 5.0.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas warga dalam mengelola sistem keamanan perumahan berbasis Internet of Things (IoT) di kawasan padat penduduk. Pelatihan yang dilaksanakan di Kelurahan Mannuruki, Kecamatan Tamalate, Kota Makassar, mencakup pengenalan perangkat IoT, penggunaan aplikasi pemantauan real-time, pemeliharaan, dan troubleshooting dasar. Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) digunakan untuk mendorong partisipasi aktif melalui praktik perakitan sensor, konfigurasi mikrokontroler, serta pengujian notifikasi otomatis. Peserta juga dibekali materi keamanan siber untuk meminimalkan risiko akses ilegal dan kerentanan sistem. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan warga dalam mengoperasikan sistem IoT secara mandiri, mendeteksi aktivitas mencurigakan, dan merespons insiden lebih cepat. Dukungan peserta dan aparat setempat menegaskan relevansi program ini sebagai langkah menuju sistem keamanan berbasis komunitas yang terintegrasi.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to analyze the role of career guidance in strengthening professional credibility and career readiness in vocational education through a literature review approach. Vocational education is required not only to develop technical competencies but also to prepare students with professional behavior, decision-making skills, and adaptability to labor market demands. Methods – This study employed a narrative literature review design by analyzing peer-reviewed articles, books, and institutional reports published between 2020-2025. Data were collected through systematic searches in relevant academic databases and analyzed using thematic synthesis. Findings – The findings indicate that career guidance plays a significant role in enhancing students’ career decision-making abilities, employability skills, and professional attitudes. Four main themes emerged: (1) career guidance and career decision-making, (2) career guidance and employability/work readiness, (3) institutional and teacher readiness, and (4) alignment between vocational education and industry needs. Effective career guidance contributes to self-awareness, career planning, and smoother school-to-work transitions. Research implications – The study concludes that structured and sustainable career guidance programs are essential for strengthening professional credibility in vocational education. Implications highlight the need for integrating career guidance into curriculum design and strengthening collaboration between schools and industry Originality – The originality of this study lies in integrating career guidance and professional credibility within vocational education contexts.

Abstract

Purpose – Growing concerns about the cognitive implications of generative AI overuse among Generation Z university students remain insufficiently addressed in the literature. This study examines the relationship between AI dependency and the decline in critical appraisal skills among Generation Z university students, responding to the absence of a systematic synthesis specifically targeting this demographic cohort. Methods – A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted across four databases Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, using structured keywords related to generative AI, critical thinking, and Generation Z students. A total of 24 peer-reviewed international journal articles published between 2021 and 2025 met the inclusion criteria and were systematically analysed. Findings – Three major patterns were identified: (1) AI dependency reduces critical appraisal skills through cognitive offloading mechanisms, where students increasingly rely on AI generated responses rather than engaging in independent analysis; (2) Generation Z students demonstrated higher levels of AI dependency and lower critical thinking performance compared to older age groups; and (3) information literacy functions as a double edged moderator that may either mitigate or exacerbate the negative effects of AI dependency depending on students' evaluative abilities. Research implications – Findings are derived exclusively from peer-reviewed literature published between 2021 and 2025 and may not fully capture real-world classroom dynamics. Generalisability may be constrained by variability in how critical appraisal skills are operationalised and measured across the included studies, as well as the underrepresentation of non-Western educational contexts Originality – This is the first systematic review to synthesise empirical evidence linking AI dependency and critical appraisal skills exclusively among Generation Z students, integrating cognitive offloading theory, cognitive scaffolding, and digital cognitive atrophy into a unified analytical framework. Future research should examine longitudinal effects and test metacognitive scaffolding interventions across diverse educational contexts.
