Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in strengthening local economic growth and improving community welfare. However, several MSMEs continue to encounter challenges related to the implementation of professional work ethics and the effective utilization of digital technology. These challenges include limited division of tasks, informal business management practices, low awareness of workplace discipline, and suboptimal use of social media as a marketing medium. This community service program aimed to provide education and mentoring on work ethics and digital technology utilization for five MSMEs located in the Singaraja area. The activity was conducted through counseling and direct assistance using a door-to-door approach. The implementation stages consisted of observation, needs analysis, socialization, mentoring, and monitoring and evaluation. The results indicated that the participating MSME owners showed positive responses and increased awareness of the importance of work ethics, effective communication, work discipline, and the use of digital platforms for business promotion. Furthermore, the mentoring process encouraged MSME actors to begin applying digital technology, particularly social media, to support marketing activities. This program is expected to contribute to improving service quality, expanding market reach, and strengthening the sustainability of MSMEs in the future.

Abstract

The rapid adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in higher education has created new opportunities for developing entrepreneurial competencies among university students. However, limited research has examined how AI Literacy contributes to Entrepreneurial Readiness and the mechanism through which this relationship occurs. This study investigates the relationships among AI Literacy, Digital Content Creation Skills, and Entrepreneurial Readiness among Economics Education students at Universitas Negeri Makassar. A quantitative survey design was employed, involving 300 undergraduate students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The findings revealed that AI Literacy positively and significantly influenced Digital Content Creation Skills (β = 0.617, p < 0.001) and Entrepreneurial Readiness (β = 0.316, p < 0.001). Furthermore, Digital Content Creation Skills significantly affected Entrepreneurial Readiness (β = 0.424, p < 0.001) and partially mediated the relationship between AI Literacy and Entrepreneurial Readiness (β = 0.262, p < 0.001). The study concludes that AI Literacy represents an important antecedent of Entrepreneurial Readiness, while Digital Content Creation Skills serve as a critical mechanism linking technological competence and entrepreneurial development among university students in the digital era.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the role of digital capability in strengthening household economic resilience among urban women entrepreneurs in an emerging economy. While digital transformation has been widely linked to firm-level performance, its broader socioeconomic implications remain underexplored, particularly in relation to household stability. The objective of this research is to investigate whether digital capability enhances household economic resilience directly or indirectly through business performance. Using survey data from women entrepreneurs in Makassar, Indonesia, the study applies Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling to evaluate the measurement and structural models. The results indicate that digital capability significantly improves business performance, and business performance significantly strengthens household economic resilience. However, digital capability does not exert a direct effect on household resilience; its influence operates through business performance as a mediating mechanism. The findings highlight that enterprise-level productivity functions as a critical transmission channel linking technological capability to household stability. This study contributes to the literature by extending digital capability research beyond firm performance and demonstrating its indirect role in enhancing women’s household economic resilience in emerging urban contexts.

Abstract

This study investigates how digitalization and smart operations influence business performance and work–life balance among mompreneurs in Makassar, Indonesia. The rapid growth of digital platforms has opened opportunities for women entrepreneurs, yet many still face challenges in managing time, operational efficiency, and family responsibilities simultaneously. Therefore, this research aims to analyze how digital adoption and operational discipline contribute to both entrepreneurial success and personal well-being. The study employs a sequential explanatory mixed-method design, beginning with quantitative analysis of 154 survey responses using reliability testing and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), followed by qualitative interviews with ten mompreneurs to capture practical insights. The quantitative findings reveal that digitalization and smart operations significantly and positively affect business performance (β = 0.46 and 0.31, p < 0.001) and work–life balance (β = 0.50 and 0.32, p < 0.001), with R² values of 0.457 and 0.449, respectively. The qualitative analysis supports these results, showing that digital tools such as online marketplaces, QR-based payments, and social media marketing enhance flexibility, confidence, and family collaboration. The synthesis of both phases confirms that digitalization and smart operations function as complementary enablers of inclusive and sustainable entrepreneurship for women. The study concludes that strengthening digital literacy, improving process discipline, and fostering peer mentoring can help mompreneurs achieve higher productivity while maintaining family harmony.
