Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of digital-based learning media on learning interest and academic achievement among elementary school students in Indonesia. Using a systematic literature review and SWOT analysis, the research synthesizes data from studies published between 2020 and 2025. The results indicate that digital media, including gamification (Quizizz, Kahoot, Wordwall) and immersive technologies (Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality), significantly enhance student engagement and conceptual understanding. Statistical meta-analysis shows an effect size ranging from 1.07 to 2.49, which is considered highly significant in educational interventions. The integration of digital tools facilitates the visualization of abstract concepts, bridging the cognitive gap for students in the concrete operational stage. However, the success of digital implementation is heavily contingent upon teacher competency within the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework and the availability of infrastructure. This report provides a detailed abstract and a comprehensive conclusion as requested, emphasizing that joyful learning through digital media is a viable solution for post-pandemic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyzes the effectiveness of integrating traditional games in primary and secondary school learning based on recent research. A systematic literature review (SLR) applied to 20 scientific articles from Sinta and Scopus-indexed journals published between 2020 and 2025. Findings consistently indicate that integrating traditional games significantly increases student learning motivation (average improvement of 25–40%), cognitive abilities, social skills, and numeracy literacy. Additionally, traditional games are proven effective in developing student character, preserving local culture, and supporting active learning. Key barriers include limited time, insufficient teacher training, and inadequate facilities. These findings underscore the importance of curricula that accommodate traditional games as a local-wisdom-based pedagogical strategy.

Abstract

Character education is a crucial aspect of elementary school learning in Indonesia, yet its implementation still faces various challenges, particularly in integrating local wisdom values into the learning process. This study aims to analyze the strategies, methods, and impacts of implementing local wisdom-based character education in elementary schools. This research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by collecting, selecting, and analyzing relevant articles from various reputable journal databases following the PRISMA procedure. The selection process resulted in several articles that met the inclusion criteria and were relevant to the research topic. The findings reveal that the implementation of local wisdom-based character education in elementary schools is carried out through several strategies, including the integration of local cultural values into learning materials, the use of local stories and folklore as learning media, habituation of local traditions in school activities, and collaboration between schools and communities. Teachers play a significant role as facilitators and role models in instilling character values derived from local wisdom. The impact of this implementation shows positive results on students' behavior, moral development, and cultural identity preservation. Students demonstrate improvements in discipline, mutual respect, cooperation, and appreciation of their local culture. This study concludes that local wisdom-based character education is an effective approach for developing students' character in elementary schools and recommends continuous development and adaptation to the local context of each region

Abstract

Conventinal teaching methods result in students being less active in the learning process, leading to poor learning outcomes. There is a need for teaching methods that encourage students to activity solve problems related to daily life, thereby optimizing the learning process. This study aims to conduct a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach guided by PRISMA, selecting 18 relevant articles. The articles used were those indexed in SINTA, GARUDA, and Google Scholar. The tesults of the study indicate that the use of the Problem-Based Learning model, when integrated with the CRT approach, can encourage students to be active and solve problems related to issues encountered in daily life. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating culture into learning to enchance learning outcomes, help students understand the material more easily, and serve as a strategy for introducing local culture.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of local culture-based IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial) learning in improving elementary school students’ understanding through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The background of this study is based on the importance of integrating local cultural values into the learning process to create contextual, meaningful, and student-centered learning experiences. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive approach with the Systematic Literature Review method by collecting and analyzing various relevant national and international journal articles related to local culture-based IPAS learning in elementary schools. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of local culture-based learning can improve students’ conceptual understanding, learning motivation, critical thinking skills, and participation in classroom learning activities. In addition, integrating local cultural values into IPAS learning helps students connect learning materials with their daily lives and social environments. Therefore, local culture-based IPAS learning is considered effective in creating contextual and meaningful learning processes in elementary schools.

Abstract

Javanese language learning in elementary schools faces various challenges in the digital era, such as declining use of Javanese among students, low learning interest, the influence of gadget and social media use, limited learning media, and teacher readiness in utilizing digital technology. This study aims to analyze the challenges and strategies implemented by elementary school teachers in learning Javanese in the digital era through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The study was conducted by collecting and analyzing relevant scientific articles published in 2022–2025. The selected articles were analyzed thematically to identify patterns, similarities, and differences related to challenges, learning strategies, and cultural preservation efforts in Javanese language learning. The results show that teachers face complex challenges in the form of low use of Javanese, especially krama and krama inggil (high Javanese), limited digital competency, lack of supporting facilities, and monotonous learning methods. However, teachers have begun to implement various innovative strategies such as the use of digital media in the form of YouTube, Quizizz, QuizWhizzer, TikTok, interactive PowerPoint, educational games, mobile learning, and culture-based learning approaches through wayang (wayang), tembang dolanan (traditional songs), and traditional games. This strategy has been proven to increase student motivation, participation, and interest in learning while supporting cultural preservation and character education. Therefore, teachers have a crucial role in balancing digital transformation with the preservation of local cultural values ​​in Javanese language learning. Pembelajaran Bahasa Jawa di sekolah dasar menghadapi berbagai tantangan pada era digital, seperti menurunnya penggunaan Bahasa Jawa di kalangan siswa, rendahnya minat belajar, pengaruh penggunaan gawai dan media sosial, keterbatasan media pembelajaran, serta kesiapan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tantangan dan strategi yang dilakukan guru sekolah dasar dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Jawa di era digital melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis artikel ilmiah relevan yang diterbitkan pada tahun 2022–2025. Artikel yang terpilih dianalisis secara tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola, persamaan, dan perbedaan terkait tantangan, strategi pembelajaran, serta upaya pelestarian budaya dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Jawa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menghadapi tantangan kompleks berupa rendahnya penggunaan Bahasa Jawa, khususnya krama dan krama inggil, keterbatasan kompetensi digital, kurangnya sarana pendukung, serta metode pembelajaran yang monoton. Namun demikian, guru mulai menerapkan berbagai strategi inovatif seperti penggunaan media digital berupa YouTube, Quizizz, QuizWhizzer, TikTok, PowerPoint interaktif, permainan edukatif, mobile learning, serta pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis budaya melalui wayang, tembang dolanan, dan permainan tradisional. Strategi tersebut terbukti mampu meningkatkan motivasi, partisipasi, dan minat belajar siswa sekaligus mendukung pelestarian budaya dan pendidikan karakter. Oleh karena itu, guru memiliki peran penting dalam menyeimbangkan transformasi digital dengan pelestarian nilai budaya lokal dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Jawa.

Abstract

Culture-based character education is an urgent need that must be realized in order to foster generations that are religious and cherish local cultural wisdom. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research method. This method was used to determine whether the implementation of traditional dance extracurricular activities can foster culture-based character education at an elementary school in Blitar City. To obtain data for this research, three data collection techniques were used: observation, interviews, and documentation. Culture-based character education encompasses three aspects: moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action. As a benchmark for success in shaping cultural character, this study concludes that the traditional dance extracurricular program has been successful because its implementation incorporates these three moral dimensions: moral knowing (analyzing, recognizing, and critically evaluating), moral feeling (empathy), and moral action (students’ creativity in making their own costumes). Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing local wisdom-based learning in strengthening students’ character at the elementary school level. Amid the massive wave of globalization, the erosion of moral values and the loss of cultural identity have become serious challenges in the world of education. Local wisdom-based learning serves as an instructional strategy that integrates traditional values, norms, and local customs into the school curriculum to shape students’ personalities rooted in the nation’s culture. The research method employed is descriptive quantitative, involving elementary school students as research subjects. Data collection instruments include character observation questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted to compare students’ character traits before and after the implementation of teaching materials incorporating local wisdom. The results of the study indicate that local culture-based learning is significantly effective in improving students’ character, particularly in terms of religiosity, cooperation, honesty, and discipline. Through the internalization of local values relevant to daily life, students find it easier to understand and practice social ethics compared to relying solely on theoretical approaches. This contextual learning process not only enhances cognitive understanding of local culture but also fosters a sense of pride and love for the homeland. The conclusion of this study affirms that the integration of local wisdom into the elementary education ecosystem is a vital instrument in realizing the Pancasila Student Profile—students with strong character and a global perspective who do not lose their local identity.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the utilization of Batik Te Lebong aesthetics as a visual literacy instrument in SD Negeri 67 Lebong. The research background is based on the limited understanding of students regarding local cultural symbols, despite visual literacy being a crucial skill in the digital era. The study employed a qualitative descriptive method, involving fifth-grade teachers and students as participants. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that Batik Te Lebong enhances student engagement, strengthens their ability to interpret visual symbols, and fosters pride in local culture. Students were able to write descriptive narratives, redraw batik motifs, and connect symbols with cultural values. Teachers benefited from contextual and relevant teaching media. The study concludes that Batik Te Lebong is effective as a medium for visual literacy and serves as a means of preserving local culture in primary education.
