The penetration of the internet and social media has reconfigured the global religious landscape while triggering disruption of scientific authority, commodification of religion, and social polarization in cyberspace. Islamic boarding schools, as the epicenter of Islamic education deeply rooted in the sanad tradition, are required to respond to this phenomenon without reducing the authenticity of their values. This study aims to investigate, analyze, and map the digitalization strategy of Islamic boarding school da'wah in transforming character-based Islamic education through the use of contemporary social media. Using a qualitative library research approach, primary and secondary data were analyzed through qualitative content analysis methods and a critical hermeneutic approach with the application of source criticism techniques (external and internal) and theoretical triangulation. The results show that the digitalization of Islamic boarding school da'wah is realized through the diversification of multimedia content formats that are adaptive to digital platform algorithms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok), reconstructing hierarchical communication patterns into dialogic and inclusive ones. This transformation effectively internalizes the fundamental character values ??of Islamic boarding schools—such as ta'zim (reverence), the authority of the chain of knowledge, simplicity, independence, and religious moderation (wasathiyyah)—as a cultural antithesis to the pathology of cyber information. This study formulates a Hybrid-Talaqqi synthesis model that dialectically positions digital platforms as instruments for accelerating cognitive transfer (ta'lim), while maintaining face-to-face encounters as the epicenter of affective development, spiritual transmission, and the instillation of adab (tarbiyah and ta'dib). Practically, the findings of this article recommend the integration of Qur'anic communication ethics into the digital media literacy curriculum to strengthen religious moderation in modern society. This research provides theoretical contributions to enriching the sociology of Islamic education and the study of Islamic broadcast communication in the digital era.
