Puji syukur kita panjatkan kehadirat Allah SWT atas lahirnya Jurnal Andragogia Ilmu Pendidikan dan Kajian Islam, yaitu jurnal ilmiah yang berfokus pada kajian ilmu pendidikan dan isu-isu keislaman yang diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Studi Pengembangan Pendidikan dan Kewirausahaan, Universitas Muhammadiyah, Bandung pada bulan Juli 2024, sebagai peluncuran perdana Volume 1 Nomor 1. Dengan mengusung tema Kajian Pendidikan dan Kajian Islam, artikel-artikel yang diterbitkan akan memiliki ciri khas dan berbagai pandangan tentang kajian pendidikan dan kajian Islam dari berbagai bidang pemikiran seperti kajian pendidikan, agama, kajian Islam, sains dan teknologi. Jurnal ini diterbitkan tiga kali dalam setahun (Juli, November, dan Maret) oleh LP3K Universitas Muhammadiyah Bandung. Setiap naskah yang diserahkan akan ditelaah oleh peer-reviewer. Proses peer-review menggunakan double-blind review, artinya identitas peer-reviewer dan penulis dirahasiakan dari reviewer, begitu pula sebaliknya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the quality of customer service at Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT) and identify the factors influencing customer satisfaction. Using survey and interview methods, this study collected data from customers at BMT Mitra Umat Islam The results indicate that customer satisfaction is influenced by factors such as service speed, staff friendliness, ease of access to services, and information transparency. Recommendations for improving service include staff training, technological infrastructure enhancement, and more effective communication with customers.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of implementing a cooperative learning model in teaching Sundanese in secondary schools. The cooperative learning model, which emphasizes cooperation between students, is expected to improve students' language skills and learning motivation. The research method is a quasi-experimental study with a control and experimental group design. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the cooperative learning model significantly improves students' speaking, writing, and understanding of Sundanese culture compared to conventional learning methods. This study provides recommendations for teachers to apply this model in learning Sundanese in order to achieve more optimal results.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of single parents in the family to provide for, nurture and educate, and still try to teach Islamic values such as Mrs. Sumirah understands that a child is a gift from God, and describes the challenges and support she faces in her role as a single parent. Results of the study: Despite being busy taking care of her two children, Mrs. Sumirah continues to teach lessons in raising her children, especially Cecep who is healthy, teaches how to do ablution, prays as well as manners, and does not forget that she always reminds Cecep to respect and love Ahmad, his older brother. crippled since infancy. To test the validity of this research data, the researchers used triangulation. The research technique used is interview, observation, documentation. While the analysis of research data includes data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded: a wife whose husband has died remains tough, patient, and earns a living, is able to imitate the behavior of Mrs. Sumirah, no matter how busy she is, she still has time to instill Islamic values in her children, and the results of this study can be the best solution for another single parent.

Abstract

Social media has become a major platform for disseminating information and shaping public opinion in the digital era. This article explores how social media plays a role in shaping Islamic narratives, identifying the dynamics of message delivery, and its impact on the understanding and practice of religion among users. Using a qualitative approach, this study collected data through in-depth interviews and content analysis from various social media platforms. The results show that social media has great potential in disseminating diverse Islamic narratives, but also poses challenges related to the validity of information and extremism. This study concludes with recommendations for utilizing social media more effectively in the context of Islamic education and information dissemination.

Abstract

In today's digital era, interactive learning media plays an important role in education, including in Islamic religious education. This journal explores the development of interactive learning media in the context of Islamic religious education, focusing on the latest trends and challenges faced. The research method used is a literature review and trend analysis by reviewing various literature, articles, and sources related to learning media. The results of the study indicate that although there are various innovations in interactive learning media, challenges such as limited access to technology and cultural diversity still need to be overcome. This article is expected to provide insight for educators and learning media developers to optimize the use of technology in Islamic religious education.

Abstract

The technological revolution has transformed many aspects of human life, including how we educate younger generations. Generation Z, raised amidst the digital era, faces unique challenges and opportunities unlike any previous generation. In an increasingly interconnected world, character education is pivotal to guiding them through the complexities of modern life with strong moral values. Integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into character education paves the way for innovative approaches that adapt to contemporary needs. This journal explores the role of AI in fostering character development in Generation Z, providing theoretical insights, global case studies, and practical strategies to bridge traditional character education with rapid technological advancements. Through literature review methodology, this study examines the benefits, challenges, and implications of AI integration in character education, aiming to provide a framework for educators and policymakers to adapt character education to the needs of the digital age.

Abstract

Character education in Islam is crucial for building the identity and morality of students. This article discusses how Islamic values can be integrated into higher education to create moral and integrity-driven individuals. Using a case study method, this research explores various character education programs implemented in Islamic campuses and their impact on student behavior. The findings indicate that the application of character education based on Islamic teachings significantly enhances students' moral awareness and social responsibility. In conclusion, character education in Islam not only shapes students' identities but also prepares them to contribute positively to society.

Abstract

Knowledge is the result of human knowledge to understand an object they encounter, as a result of efforts to understand a particular object. Discussing knowledge is always linked to epistomology, which is a branch of philosophy that discusses the occurrence of knowledge, sources of knowledge, origins of knowledge, boundaries, nature, methods and validity of knowledge. The measure of truth as a process of validity of knowledge. Epistomologically, truth is the correspondence between what is claimed to be known and the actual reality which is the object of knowledge. Truth lies in the correspondence between subject and object, namely what the subject knows and reality as it is. There are four theories of truth; 1) correspondence theory, 2) Coherence theory, 3) pragmatic theory, 4) religious truth.

Abstract

The synergy between Hasan Hanafi's social theology and Buya Hamka's interpretation in the context of women's liberation and empowerment is explored in this paper. Hasan Hanafi, through his liberation theology, emphasizes the importance of real action to achieve social justice and equality. Meanwhile, Buya Hamka, with his humanistic and contextual approach to interpretation, emphasizes the values ??of justice, compassion and humanity in understanding the Qur'an. This research uses a qualitative approach, which is an understanding of the Koranic text as a research object. This research lies in an interdisciplinary approach that combines social theology with women's interpretation and Hasan Hanafi's social theology which can complement each other in efforts to liberate and empower women. This research aims to analyze how these two ideas can work together to create a holistic approach in overcoming social and gender injustice, as well as developing strategies for women's liberation and empowerment. The research results show that there are similar values ??and principles between Hasan Hanafi's social theology and Buya Hamka's interpretation, especially in terms of social justice and gender equality. This synergy produces a comprehensive approach, combining social action with contextual religious understanding. The implementation of this synergy can be applied in various fields such as education, health, public policy and economic empowerment. This article makes a new contribution by proposing a synergy model between social theology and Al-Qur'an interpretation as a strategy for women's empowerment that has not been widely discussed in previous literature. This approach not only provides practical solutions but also forms a framework that enables sustainable social change.

Abstract

Student engagement is one of the indicators of academic success in higher education, including behavioral, emotional, and cognitive engagement in both regular and non-regular students. Regular class students generally have wider access to direct interaction with lecturers and peers, which can increase their academic engagement, while non-regular class students, such as employee classes or distance classes, face their own challenges in maintaining their engagement due to limited time and access to learning resources. This study aims to explore the differences in student engagement between regular and non-regular students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Bandung. The research method used was a quantitative method with a comparative approach. This study involved 426 subjects, with 279 regular students and 147 non-regular students at UM Bandung. The sampling technique used was disproportionate stratified random sampling. The results of the Mann-Whitney test showed that there was no significant difference in the level of student engagement between the two groups, with a significance value of 0.148 (p>0.05). This indicates that both regular and non-regular students have relatively the same level of learning engagement.
