Abstract

Muslims, as the religious majority in Indonesia, face challenges posed by the missionary activities of other faith groups, particularly Christians. Meanwhile, globalization, easy access to information, and increasing interfaith interaction necessitate a generation of *da’is* (Islamic preachers) who possess not only an understanding of and commitment to Islamic studies but also the intellectual competence to comprehend other religions in a balanced and objective manner. A recurring issue is the limited literacy regarding Christology and the dynamics of missionary movements; consequently, responses to these matters are often emotional rather than grounded in accurate knowledge. This community service initiative aims to enhance the understanding and intellectual acuity of santri (Islamic boarding school students) regarding the fundamentals of Christology and the characteristics of missionary movements from an academic perspective, while also fostering a da’wah (preaching) paradigm that is argumentative, courteous, and knowledge-based. The activity was conducted as an interactive seminar at the Nurul Bayan Islamic Boarding School in North Lombok. The methodology employed included lectures, dialogue, case studies, and question-and-answer sessions. The results indicate increased participant enthusiasm for the study of religions, a growing awareness of the importance of mastering the subject matter prior to engaging in da’wah, and an improved ability among participants to identify contemporary challenges facing da’wah.
