APPLICATION OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FOR PROMOTION AND SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT IN MARINE ECOTOURISM: A CASE STUDY IN BANGSRING, BANYUWANGI Nurin Hidayati

Ecotourism is a form of tourism management by promoting the unique tourist attraction such as natural destination, conservation, education and local wisdom. Banyuwangi is a region that makes ecotourism as an important pillar of the economy in coastal areas. Communities in the coastal village of Bangsring District, Banyuwangi, generally have a chance to earn more revenue from ecotourism sector. The existence of coral reefs and beautiful islands are natural potential that can be developed into high-value marine ecotourism, especially with the increase in ecotourism trend. It is also in line with the direction of Government policy in Banyuwangi to advance marine ecotourism sector. Based on information obtained from the chairman of Pokwasmas Samudera Bhakti and KNIH Bangsring, the problem faced by partners related to the development of ecotourism was that Bangsring ecotourism requires more promotions. Information about ecotourism so far has not fully use information technology, whereas characteristics of ecotourism fans who belong to a niche market requires their websites and other social media as an effective media campaign. "Bunder" (Underwater Bangsring) is one of the marketing strategies and promotion of village tourism potential in Bangsring using mobile application based on android. By using information technology (IT), “Bunder” is able to generate informations based on android platform that can be accesed from anywhere and by everyone. A downloadable application named "Bunder" is regarding the potential of tourism and natural resources in Bangsring and its surrounding. This application is expected to support effective promotion towards sustainable management of marine ecotourism in Bangsring, Banyuwangi.

From the beginning of its discovery, website has been improving its function, one of which is as publication media. Also in the world of education, most of higher education institution employ the website to publish their school and to offer related information to their user. However, many disputes come to the user when using the website due to lack of both usability standard and information architecture design. Thus, this research focuses on a standard of information architecture design which is user-oriented to improve 5 aspects of website usability of the institution. Card sorting is used to arrange the information architecture in line with user expectation while goal-directed design functions to design user interface based on userâ€™s goal. The conducted test is Usability Test which has formerly been undertaken on the research. The usability value of students and their parents who use higher education institution website designed by Card Sorting Method can be improved to 71.2% which is higher than the average standard. That is means, user involvement in defining the information architecture is very important for website usability can be achieved.

This activity is conducted on Small and Medium Micro Enterprise (UMKM) "Raja Abon Makmur Lestari". In carrying out its business, MSME requires the right business planning and marketing strategy to prepare the business in the development of its business into a bigger and stronger business. This devotional activity provides the delivery of materials and direct practice of website creation and recording training - reporting of MSME financial statements. This activity is conducted by lecture, question and answer method and discussion. This method is used as a medium of communication during the training so that there is two-way communication between the speakers and the perpetrators of SMEs. Activities include the delivery of materials and direct practice of website creation and recording training - reporting of MSME financial statements. The results of the implementation of this activity are (1) Knowledge and understanding of MSME actors in making and using the website to be increased. (2) The existence of MSME website is expected to assist in information technology based marketing strategy in increasing sales. (3) The skills of MSMEs actors in recording and preparing financial statements are increasing, so it is possible to make their own financial report.

The development of technology today has a lot of information systems that are constructed in real time and online which allows one to access them from anywhere and get the latest information. Competition in different business sectors is supported by the rapid development of information technology. The need of information for good stocks becomes a necessity for the management team that needs the help of appropriate information technology, appropriate distribution of information, and prompt customer service. The design of this system uses Codeigniter, MySQL database and PHP as the programming language. By making use of this system, management team can control the stalls in handling the transaction, determine the stock of goods in each stall precisely, transform the excessive goods and the lack ones in other stalls, supply the needs of goods in stalls according to customers’ needs, and obtain transaction reports in every stall precisely.

Path planning and controlling system for car-based mobile robot was applied on a car-based mobile robot with 1/18 scale. This system controlled the car-based mobile robot to reach the target position. The path planning used static Reed-Shepp curvature. The car-based mobile robot was built by modifying R/C model car in order to be controlled by PC (Personal Computer). The additional parts were sensor system to measure the steering angle and the one to measure the steering of traction motor. This robot has been also added with simple control system so the data interchange between mobile robot and computer could be minimized. Lastly, the unit was calibrated to determine characteristics of the car-based mobile robot.

Managament accounting information system consists of full cost accounting information, differential accounting information and responsibility accountingl. The aim of this study is to explain the application of management accounting information system on information objects such as products and activities of the department which will result full accounting information. If the system is connected with the alternative that will be selected, it will produce the concept of differential accounting information which is needed for the purpose of management decision making with multiple alternative selection. If the management accounting information system is connected with the authority of the manager, it will produce the concept of responsibility accounting information that is useful to influence company policy-making.

The advancement of education in Indonesia, especially Universities tinged with a large problem. One of these problems is the lack of relevance between universities and business and industry (DUDI). In order to overcome these problem, Vocational Education at UB then has designed program the so-called “Kuliah Keahlian”. The implementation of KK aims to provide students majoring in Business and Information Management Expertise Multimedia an opportunity to know the business world and the real world industry (facts), to understand what is really happening in the world of business and industry, to apply the theories that have been obtained in the regular course (KR), and to improve their confidence for facing the fact that it turns out they are capable and highly master practical jobs that exist in the DUDI and to increase public trust in the ability and mastery of vocational program graduates. This study is qualitative whose result shows that the implementation of KK is quite well-done and it has given positive impact to the students which is shown by the increasing number of students who already have their own business (52% of students) after the implementation of KK.

This research aims to study the way the media frame the trends and the problems of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in Indonesia. This research uses Robert N Entman’s framing model to analyze ten headlines in ICT Magazine. The media see the development of ICT as a doubleedged sword, when it is not used wisely it would hurt its users. The development of ICT in Indonesia is characterized by certain interests and the influx of foreign workers having special qualifications which tend to bring disadvantage to the state. In addition, the government’s efforts to develop an internet-based economy gain great concern and positive framing from ICT Magazine.
