Abstract

Information Technology (IT) can be adopted as a capability of organizations to improve its environmental performance. The purpose of this research is to develop IT infrastructure quality model and its environmental competencies of IT in order to improve its environmental performance. The model is developed based on the resource-based view as theoretical foundation and related literature including green IT. The validity of the model is tested using structural equation modelling based on data collected from the Indonesian ICT industry. Findings show that the IT infrastructure quality is critical abilities of an organisation used for developing environmental competencies of IT. It also indicates that the environmental competencies of organisations are positively associated with IT infrastructure quality. A new model of IT infrastructure quality constitutes an original contribution to the information system literature especially in an area the relationship between IT infrastructure quality and environmental performance.

Abstract

This study aims to study on user acceptance levels of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) UBD. Evaluation to see how far the system is functioning properly in accordance with its function so that the system supports the task effectively. This evaluation provides information on the perception of users that can be entered for UBD in developing HRIS in the future. The model used is Human - Organization - Technology (HOT) Fit Model. The components include human (system use and user satisfaction), organization (structure and environment), technology (system quality, information quality and service quality). Instrument research using questionnaires, scoring by using a Likert scala. Retrieved fact that, variable human, organization and technology, and a significant positive effect on the acceptance of the performance of HRIS UBD. Factors affecting the successive visits of the loading factor is variable technology (0.541 (0.001)), human variables (0.308 (0.001)), and the organization variable (0.220 (0.027)).

Abstract

This study involves the analysis of water resources pollution data using Geographic Information System (GIS), which is a subset of the purposes such as: study on the status (situaion) of the aquifer, the natural and man-made effects on aquifer quality, evaluation and investigation of quality monitoring results of Ardabil aquifer, study on quality limitations by comparing the results of analysis of wet and dry seasons from water resources with selected standards. Therefore, samples were collected from76 wells, in this region, for the purpose of the aquifer water quality assessment, identification of changing process of pollution and statistical analysis of quality parameters included NTU, TDS, Nitrates and Chloride. Afterwards, maps for each parameter were produced in the geographic information system (GIS) using scientific methods. Thereupon, situation and condition of water quality was measured by quality mapping index of NSFWQ and was applied for whole the basin. This maps and database, which were created by the software, provide and offer an obvious view of what happened in the study area. As a result, it could be applied for a better management of these water resources and planning to prevent further pollution, by relevant organizations.

Abstract

The main reason for the failure of most of management information systems is referred to the problems that arise from management factors and strategic components, expectations, complexity, and risks. Finally, the main applicable proposal is giving importance by managers and analysts to the fit between organization and its information system as well as giving attention to training categories in implementation of information system, preparing financial supports and human resource in design, implementation, and development of information system, strengthening progressive factors, and weakening restrictive factors in organization by management to design or develop the system and finally, preparing organizational infrastructures to implement information system. Introduction of an information system has a strong managerial, organizational, and technological impact on industrial building methods. One of the objectives of this study was to identify and introduce key success factors of Project Management Information Systems (PMIS) in Industrialized Building Systems (IBS). The results of hypotheses showed that all dimensions of PMIS influence the performance of projects. But in the second phase of the study, sub-factors were classified using hierarchical analysis approach. This classification helps managers to identify the most important factors and obtain better results concentrating on the main factors compared with using PMIS.

Abstract

Earthquakes are notorious as devastating natural disasters that can result in tragic fatalities and economic loss. The building of earthquake evacuation shelters is an effective way to reduce earthquake consequences and protect lives. In present study, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was applied as a multiple criteria of decision making (MCDM) method to investigate different shelter sites that belong to a disaster-prone area of the north of Iran. The principles of vulnerable areas, access to roads, firefighting centers, populated areas, fault lines, and medical centers were considered to determine optimal temporary shelter areas locations. With the support of a geographic information system (GIS), the method comprised three steps, i.e. selecting candidate shelters, analyzing the spatial coverage of the shelters, and determining the shelter locations. Finally, a case study was used to demonstrate the application of the multi-criteria model and the corresponding solution method and their effectiveness in planning urban earthquake evacuation shelters. It was found that the “distance from fault line” criterion of 0.429 could be the most effective factor along the others.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh konseling karir kelompok cognitive information processing untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengambilan keputusan karir siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 16 orang siswa kelas XI di SMAN “X” Yogyakjarta yang berjenis kelamin perempuan dan laki-laki, berusia 17 tahun dan dibagi dalam dua kelompok. Setelah dilakukan proses random, maka terpilih satu kelompok (n=8) sebagai kelompok eksperimen dari SMAN”X” yang menerima perlakuan berupa konseling karir kelompok CIP. Satu kelompok lainnya (n=8) sebagai kelompok kontrol. Skala career thought inventory yang dibuat sendiri oleh peneliti yang dipergunakan sebagai alat ukur. Uji hipotesis menggunakan analisis non-parametrik berupa Mann Whitney U Test untuk menguji perbedaan nilai berdasarkan kelompok, yaitu eksperimen dan kontrol. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa konseling karir kelompok berpengaruh dalam menigkatkan kemampuan pengambilan keputusan karir siswa (Z = -3,313, p = 0,000, dimana p < 0,05).Kata kunci : Pengambilan keputusan karir, Cognitive Information Processing, Konseling karir

Abstract

ABSTRACT This researchaimed to find out what explains the concepts of economic resilience through information and technology based assesment for the purpose of studying the micro and small enterprises in The Jakarta Province. In collecting the research datas, interviews were being conducted while the answers from the informants would lead the researchers’ conclusions. Thisresearch have resulted on confirmation that there is a growing trend of economic development in the community of micro and small industrial center as a way to enhance economic resilience. The Jakarta province should reinforce this kind and a like industrial center to build the strengths of the enterprises as economic stimulation to the community. Another result is in the terms of information and technology based assesment, we have found that the concepts of economic resilience could be achieved through the distribution of economic development in the attempt of increasing businesses’ productivity as the result of information and technology applications. Furthermore,the respectively regulation and laws coming from the authorities have provided the protection and guidence needed by the enterprises in the creation of economic development and long-term businesses’ growth. Abstract

The purpose of this writing is to analyze the influence of the analysis of independent variables to the dependent variable. The research was conducted by using primary data in the form of statement of questionnaire about independent variable of management accounting information system, strategy, and innovation to dependent variable that is company operational performance. The number of samples used are 24 manufacturing companies in DKI Jakarta that can be reached by researchers, this sample determination using Gay theory. Analytical method used is multiple linear regression with classical assumption test which include normality test, multicolonierity test, and heterokedastisity test. Writing results show that management accounting information system variables have an influence on the company's operational performance, the strategy has an influence on the company's operational performance and innovation has an influence on the operational performance of the company.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa pengaruh ketepatan pengalokasian, teknologi dan informasi perpajakan, dan diskriminasi terhadap penggelapan pajak (tax evasion).Populasi penelitian ini adalah wajib pajak orang pribadi yang terdaftar di KPP Pratama Jakarta Sunter.Sampel dalam penelitian ini ditentukan berdasarkan metode convenience sampling, data dikumpulkan dengan pembagian kuisioner.Metode analisis data penelitian yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda.Berdasarkan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ketepatan pengalokasian tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penggelapan pajak, teknologi dan informasi perpajakan berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap penggelapan pajak, dan diskriminasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap penggelapan pajak.

Abstract

Wireless Sensor Networks are a new technology that has been on the agenda lately and can be applied to many areas. By using Wireless Sensor Networks, information can be gathered interactively and this information can be collectively evaluated and can be changed on the basis of information when necessary. In this work, a sensor node and a gateway node are designed and developed. With designed new nodes, a new intelligent system is developed. In the new system, Temperature, humidity, sound and water level data are perceived and monitored. This system can be used in all environments that need these four information. It is estimated that our work will benefit sensor network users.
