Abstract

This study aims to investigate the influence of the job market and compensation on students’ decisions to pursue a career as an accountant, with information technology serving as a moderating variable. A quantitative research approach was employed. The study population includes all undergraduate accounting students at STIESIA Surabaya. Data were collected using probability sampling through a simple random sampling method. This study utilized multiple linear regression along with Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) to examine interaction effects. The study's findings demonstrate that job market factors have a significant positive effect on individuals' decisions to enter the accounting profession. Likewise, financial rewards also play a crucial role by exerting a positive and significant influence on career selection. Likewise, professional recognition positively and significantly affects students’ inclination to become accountants. However, information technology moderates this relationship by weakening the influence of financial rewards on career choice. In contrast, it enhances the effect of professional recognition on the decision to pursue an accounting career.

Abstract

The disclosure of public information is a key principle for achieving transparent, participatory, and accountable governance. As a national archival institution, the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) plays a crucial role in facilitating public information disclosure, particularly through its Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID). This study analyzes the implementation of the public information disclosure policy by the ANRI PPID, along with the challenges and strategies encountered in reconciling the need for openness with the protection of archives. This qualitative case study employed policy analysis, in-depth interviews, and reviews of internal documentation. Findings indicate that while the ANRI PPID has introduced several innovations, it still faces challenges related to the integration of information systems, categorizations of information types, and public awareness of the right to access information. This study suggests enhancing the institutional capacity of the PPID, improving public information literacy, and aligning information disclosure policies with archival principles. This study aims to contribute to advancing public information governance that effectively balances transparency with safeguarding information.

Abstract

This study explores how information governance and financial accountability shape funding performance and the long-term sustainability of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Indonesia. This study employed a mixed-methods approach to collect data from 709 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) across 34 provinces in Indonesia. Data were obtained through surveys, analysis of digital platforms, and structured interviews, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of CSO practices and challenges. The framework examines legal compliance, digital visibility, and accountability systems. Findings reveal a critical gap: 84% of CSOs have legal recognition, 93% hold tax IDs, and only 44% regularly undergo audits. Moreover, 86% depend heavily on grants and donations, and just 17% actively use integrated digital platforms. This misalignment between formal compliance and strategic accountability risks donor confidence and long-term viability. The study proposes a diagnostic model interlinking governance, digital engagement, and funding strategy. Practical recommendations include improving audit practices, advancing digital transparency, and encouraging innovative, diversified funding approaches. The insights contribute to ongoing efforts by policymakers, donors, and CSOs to cultivate more transparent, resilient, and accountable nonprofit ecosystems.

Abstract

After the closure of the THR Surabaya complex (2019), the Irama Budaya ludruk community is now in a worrying situation of "stagnation". Until now, there is still no "vehicle" that is willing to accommodate this community to hold its performances again. Meanwhile, folk traditional theater performances (ludruk) which are held in person are now increasingly difficult to do and rarely found, in fact the growth and development of electronic social media (social media) has provided space for traditional theater to organize performances. In its development, live performances require a lot of money and take longer, this can make the audience feel bored, especially the younger generation. On the other hand, a lot of art is commodified through social media broadcasts which almost never leave any free time. The presence of electronic social media has created a new entertainment industry with artistic settings (scenography) supported by technological sophistication, whereas traditional theater performances are considered outdated, and often depend on supporting communities which are starting to decline. This social phenomenon has an impact on the behavior of today's audiences who prefer electronic media, especially YouTube, so that the traditional theater community needs to be "empowered" through virtual works to improve Information and Technology (IT) capabilities. Empowering the traditional theater community aims to put into practice starting from the process of preparing scenography equipment to editing various elements and elements of the artistic layout of virtual work performances. The method for empowering the traditional theater community is carried out through socialization (mentoring, training and production) and direct practice from resource persons. Through this empowerment, it is hoped that it can improve the IT capabilities of the traditional theater community in facing forms of audience transformation, and can utilize "electronic social media" as a new platform for presenting artistic performances through virtual works.

Abstract

Flooding in Indonesia is still a frequent natural disaster compared to other types of disasters. In addition, the number of flood events also shows an increase every year. This research aims to develop a flood prediction model as a preventive measure as an early warning system and flood risk mitigation management that may occur based on Geographical Information System (GIS). It is expected that areas that have the potential to experience flooding can be more proactive in making preparations before flooding. This prediction model uses a classification type machine learning (ML) algorithm with training data involving rainfall within 12 months. The model evaluation results use two techniques: confusion matrix and K-Fold cross validation and each fold is calculated for accuracy. The K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) model with a value of K = 31 gets the highest accuracy value of 88.89%, Decision Tree (DT) of 72.22%, and Naive Bayes of 78%. The average accuracy using K-Fold resulted in 89.09% for KNN, 77.12% for DT, and 86.59% for Naive Bayes. By considering these results, this research chose the KNN method to be applied in the prediction model. The code was rewritten in the Flask framework to be used as an API and integrated with Laravel as a Backend platform and Frontend using Bootstrap, JQuery, Axios, and LeafletJS as map visualisation. With this research, it is hoped that it can be one of the solutions in predicting as well as early warning of floods so that it can provide sufficient time for affected residents to make preparations for flooding.
