Abstract

This study aims to explore how farmer groups in Labuhan Bilik adopt and implement the Business Management Information System (BIIS) in marketing agricultural products, as well as its impact on market access, transaction transparency, and farmer income. The method used is a qualitative case study approach through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of digital marketing activities. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of BIIS through social media, local e-commerce applications, and digital recording of harvest results has expanded market reach, accelerated distribution, and increased price transparency. However, the obstacles that arise include low digital literacy of farmers, limited technological infrastructure, and dependence on individuals who master technology. Therefore, ongoing assistance, digital literacy training, and collaboration between various parties are needed to ensure the sustainability of digital transformation. These findings are expected to be a strategic reference for policy makers and practitioners in formulating inclusive and adaptive agricultural digitalization programs.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation and impact of the use of Business Management Information System (BIMS) on operational efficiency and increasing fishermen's income in Meranti Paham Village, Labuhanbatu Regency, North Sumatra. The background of this study is based on the low efficiency of traditional fisheries businesses due to the absence of a structured information recording and management system. With a qualitative approach through case studies, data were obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation of 15 fishermen, community leaders, and representatives of the Fisheries Service. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of BIMS, which includes recording catches, distribution, and financial reports, can improve the efficiency of fuel use, operational planning, and cost control. Economically, the use of BIMS increases fishermen's income by 20–30% and strengthens their bargaining power in the market. The success of the implementation is influenced by the support of cooperatives, the role of local leadership, and family involvement. However, obstacles such as limited digital infrastructure, low technological literacy, and concerns about data privacy are still challenges. This study recommends strengthening ongoing training, increasing access to technology, and policy support so that BIMS can be adopted more widely in the community fisheries sector.

Abstract

This research contains information on how to implement a health information system in health service facilities in North Sumatra. This research uses a library search or literature study. To search for data on literacy studies, you can refer to books, research journals published locally and internationally, scientific writings, research conducted by others. The results of the research showed that out of 10 journals related to the implementation of health information systems in health services, it can be concluded that health information systems are very important in improving the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of health services. Health information systems (HIS) play a role in managing important data and information in an accurate and timely manner to support the development of public health.

Abstract

The implementation of a mobile application-based Health Information System (HIS) has become one of the significant innovations in supporting the modernization of health services in Indonesia. This research aims to explore the implementation and evaluation of HIS in various health facilities and uses a literature review method of relevant scientific journals in the 2020-2024 period. The results of the analysis show that the implementation of a mobile-based HIS provides easy access to information, accelerates the administration process, and increases patient satisfaction. However, there are several challenges, such as limited infrastructure, human resources, and technical problems that affect its effectiveness. This study highlights the importance of developing a structured system, increasing integration between agencies, and optimizing resources to support the sustainability of digital transformation in the health sector. The implementation of a mobile-based HIS has great potential to overcome various obstacles to conventional services and improve the quality of health services as a whole in Indonesia. This research uses a literature review technique, which is based on a literature review of various scientific articles and journals. The main purpose of this investigation is to find aspects that influence the success of HIS implementation, as well as provide insight into the management and use of information technology in improving the efficiency of health services. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to the advancement of a more effective information system and support digital transformation in the Indonesian health sector.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of budget participation and budget suppression on budgetary slack by considering information asymmetry and self-esteem as moderating variables. This research was conducted at the Indonesian National Police Institution. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents consisting of 100 police officers. The analysis method used is moderation regression using a statistical program. The results showed that budget participation has a significant negative effect on budgetary slack, while budget emphasis has a significant positive effect on budgetary slack. In addition, information asymmetry and self-esteem do not moderate the relationship between budgetary participation and budgetary slack, but self-esteem moderates the relationship between budgetary emphasis and budgetary slack. These findings imply the importance of involving police officers in the budget process and need to consider self-esteem factors in reducing budgetary slack.

Abstract

Stunting remains a significant public health challenge globally, particularly affecting children's growth and development. This study investigates the strategies used by healthcare workers at Brayan health center to search for and promote health information related to stunting, as well as the obstacles they encounter in these efforts. Data were collected through interviews and analyzed qualitatively. Results show that healthcare workers primarily use exploration strategies by searching for information through Google and collect relevant data for dissemination. The main promotion strategy involves social support through multi-sectoral meetings to enhance collaboration. However, several challenges hinder these efforts, including restricted access to scientific articles behind paywalls, a shortage of dedicated health promotion staff, and limited feedback from local stakeholders, especially village leaders. These barriers affect the efficiency and reach of stunting-related health promotion activities. The study concludes that addressing these constraints by improving information access, increasing human resources, and fostering stronger stakeholder engagement is essential to optimize stunting prevention programs at Brayan health center .

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with high volcanic activity, with more than 130 active volcanoes. Mount Semeru is the highest volcano on the island of Java, which is located between Malang Regency and Lumajang Regency. Mount Semeru's volcanic activity can cause disasters such as lava flows, poisonous gas, volcanic ash ejections and rock avalanches. Mitigation of volcanic eruption disasters in Lumajang Regency is carried out by mapping areas that are potentially affected. This research aims to examine the use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in mapping areas affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru. The method used is GIS-based spatial analysis to identify areas prone to volcanic eruptions, which are divided into three zones based on their level of vulnerability. The mapping results show that Pronojiwo and Pasrujambe District has the highest level of vulnerability, followed by Candipuro and Senduro Districts.

Abstract

The geographical location of Pontianak City, situated on the Equator, creates a high potential for hydrometeorological disasters, particularly extreme weather events such as whirlwinds. Based on the history of recurring events, it is essential to conduct this research to recommend disaster mitigation strategies based on hazard analysis and the Extreme Weather Disaster Class Index in Pontianak City. The data used are slope, land use, annual rainfall, and surface air temperature. These parameters are processed using the ArcGIS software. The results of the hazard analysis indicate that Pontianak City has a moderate level of hazard, covering an area of 5,191.46 ha, or 44.41% of the total area of Pontianak City. Sub-districts with medium-level potential areas are Pontianak Kota sub-district, with an area of 883.56 ha, West Pontianak sub-district, with an area of 836.97 ha, and South Pontianak sub-district, with an area of 761.59 ha. The non-structural disaster mitigation measures that need to be implemented to reduce the impact of extreme weather disasters include disaster risk assessment, enforcement of mitigation-based spatial plans, and community engagement. While structural mitigation can be achieved by strengthening building structures, these structures must utilize materials and construction techniques that are resistant to whirlwinds and enhance the strength of foundations, walls, and roofs. Making evacuation routes based on disaster mitigation and installing early warning equipment, such as Weather Information Display (WID), also needs to be done in an effort to minimize the impact of extreme whirlwind weather.

Abstract

Langsa Baro District is an area that often experiences floods and a lot of uneven elevation in the area so that land movement can be possible. This study aims to analyze the parameters that affect soil movement and make a zoning map of the level of vulnerability of land movement using spatial data in Langsa Baro District. Data processing with GIS (Geographic Information System) is intended to obtain soil movement mapping. To help determine the weight score on each parameter, this study used the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) method. Factors that greatly influence the occurrence of soil movement that occurs in Langsa Baro District are soil type and rainfall. The Langsa Baro District area has five levels of vulnerability, namely the level of vulnerability of very low soil movement with a percentage of 0.26% and area of 17.02 Ha, the level of vulnerability of low soil movement with a percentage of 3.58% and an area of 234.02 Ha, the level of vulnerability of medium soil movement with a percentage of 18.42% and an area of 1204.22 Ha, the level of vulnerability of high soil movement with a percentage of 73.74% and an area of 4819.54, the level of vulnerability of soil movement is very high with a percentage of 4.00% and an area of 261.26 Ha.

Abstract

This systematic literature review examines the evolving role of Information Technology (IT) skills and understanding in enhancing the effectiveness of internal auditors. In recent years, the growing complexity and reliance on digital systems in organizations have prompted a shift in the required skill set for internal auditors. The review synthesizes studies from diverse sources to identify key IT competencies, tools, and frameworks that contribute to the internal audit function. It explores how IT knowledge influences auditing processes, risk management, and compliance assurance. Through a rigorous selection of peer-reviewed articles, books, and case studies, the review highlights the increasing importance of IT skills, including data analytics, cybersecurity awareness, and knowledge of emerging technologies. The findings indicate that internal auditors who possess a robust understanding of IT systems are better equipped to identify risks, evaluate controls, and provide strategic insights. The review also discusses the challenges auditors face in acquiring and applying these skills and offers recommendations for continuous professional development. Ultimately, this review underscores the necessity for internal auditors to bridge the gap between traditional auditing practices and modern technological advancements to enhance organizational governance and performance.
