Abstract

Moderated regression analysis is used to determine of the interaction effect (Chen don cohen, 1983; Arnold, 1982; 1984; cnampoux and petres, 1987; hartmaon and Moers, 1999) between the estimate participation and the leadership style on managerial performance. Based on the approach adopted by Govindarajan and Gupta (1985), to answer hypothesis 1 and 2 are mathematically shown by equation (1) and (2) as follows that y = bo + b1 X1 + X2 + B 2 e, and y = bo + b1X1 + X2 + b2b3 X1X2 + e. Meanwhile, to answer the third hypothesis, it is indicated by equation (3) and (4) as follows that Y = bo +  b1X1 +b3x3 + e, and Y = bo + b1 X1 + b2X2 + b2b3X1X2 + e. The results of research that are shown by coefficients table has indicated: 1) High participation in the estimate arranging influences the increasing of managerial performance on the government, 2) Locus Of Control influences the estimate participation arranging in managerial performance of local government improvement  for  0.291, 3) Excellent leadership style in the estimate arranging influences the increasing of local government managerial performance for 0.22, 4) Locus of control (x1) and leadership style (x2) have contributed simultaneously and significantly toward the participative estimate arranging (y). The results of research above explain that locus of control (x1) and leadership style (x2) have simultaneously influenced the participative estimate arranging (y) about 60%. The rest of 40% is the influences that come from the other factors, 5) Locus of control (x1), leadership style (x2) and the estimate participation arranging (y) have contributed simultaneously and significantly to the participative estimate arranging (y). The results of research above also explain that locus of control (x1) and leadership style (x2) have simultaneously influenced the participative estimate arranging (y) on the performance of local governments (z) about 55%. Abstract

Efforts to achieve improved quality of service and increase the degree of optimal health for the community, organized through maintenance approach, health promotion (promotion), disease prevention (preventive), healing (curative), and the restoration of health (rehabilitation), which implemented a comprehensive, integrated , and sustainable. One of the efforts in the field of health care is to improve the quality of service through increased accuracy, rationalization and efficiency of the use of drugs, preparation of a list of essential drugs which put emphasis on cost optimization with these medicines are absolutely essential. List of Essential Medicines, which is a general list of standard drugs that have been published and are set by the Minister of Health. The evaluation process requires a method that can facilitate the assessment and decision making, as in decision making related to the criteria and the number of alternative suppliers, it is necessary to use a valuation technique that is effective and not too complex, but gives accurate results. This evaluation also involves an assessment of the hospital management or parties related to the supplier so that the accuracy of ratings given by each respondent is essential.AHP is a method to rank alternative decision in choosing one of the best when decision makers and have a wide criteria. In AHP-making hierarchy is used to decompose the problem into the smallest section. Abstract

Research paradigm does not only look on the role and function LP2M in contribution to answer various problems of education in public and to recommend solution for decision maker in Kemendikbud. The strategic goal of PTS Darmajaya in 5 years (2012-2017) as analyzer unit in this research, are governance management that effective, efficient, transparent, accountable, and continue, and also management of education infrastructure. In order to reach those goals, LP2M arranges road map and master plan with various programs of research and community service for science development. LP2M serves to improve the quality of information services for students and faculty, and also in the search for alternative income by taking the advantage of the facilities and human resources in IBI Darmajaya. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the formation of public perception management majors (positioning) through marketing strategies (product, promotion, place, price processes, people, services and the level of satisfaction). The results showed that the sequence of the highest variable shape their effectiveness is variable positioning process, variable service, variable space, variable pricing, promotion variable. Whereas variable ineffective cover variables, and variable products/ graduates. Variable attributes of brand loyalty in the visible frequency attributes in the sense that like the education (frequency) assessed by a variation less often quite high, but it will not reduce the assessment of the service received, for services provided management department meets department higher standards set. While others attribute to recommend to the comfort (comfortable) and preferences with services obtained got a pretty good assessment, while the other attributes that tend to get a very good assessment of the variation is almost the same. Attributes related to the service, is the most influential variable, and the most important factors to changes in loyalty management majors existence and Attributes related to the purchase of statistical models that also affect positively to the presence of the management department.Keywords : Positioning, Satisfaction, and Service

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) is a small business from the people who have contributed to economic growth through job creation and multiflier effect. Since 1997, SMEs have become one of the businesses that can save the country from economic crisis. In line with the contribution and economic savior is the government through regulatory policies to encourage SMEs to stabilize the economy. Related to Higher Education policies and service programs to encourage small and medium enterprises then, Sinar Alam one of SMEs engaged in the processing craft gemstone (bungur) managed for generations. This business is located in the village of the district of Tanjung star Srikaton South Lampung Lampung Province. This activity aims to: (1) the empowerment of the community and business partners in order to increase the motivation of entrepreneurs; (2) improve the understanding of the partner business planning and business management; (3) improve the ability of human resources in the production and marketing techniques; and (4) develop entrepreneurial networking Natural Light to support the development of creative economy. The results of this activity are: (1) increasing entrepreneurship group of SMEs; 2) miningkatnya ability groups in business planning (business plan); 3) increasing the ability of a business group Sinar Alam in conducting business operations; 4) increasing network (networking) business cooperation; and 5) business group Sinar Alam models serve as a model entrepreneur development of SMEs groups based society empowerment.Keywords: training, coaching, mentoring, industry, handicrafts

Abstract

This study is aimed at examining the relationshipbetween corporate governance mechanisms andearnings management with voluntary disclosure(voluntary disclosure) as a moderating variable.Corporate governance is proxied and measured byManagerial Ownership (MGR) Institutional Ownership(INST), board size (BSIZE), and the independentCommissioner (KI). Voluntary Disclosure of EarningsManagement proxied in this study uses the value ofdiscretionary accruals, and Voluntary Disclosure isproxied by the disclosure index. The population of thisstudy is all listed manufacturing companies in IndonesiaStock Exchange from 2006 to 2011.The results of this study are first, there is an empiricalevidence to suggest that there are negative effects ofdiscretionary accruals managerial ownership,institutional ownership and a positive influence on thesize of the board of directors. Overall, these results areconsistent with research conducted by Pranata (2003)and Rajgopal (1998) that managerial ownership andinstitutional ownership become a constraint on earningsmanagement practice. Second, testing the relationshipbetween voluntary disclosure mechanism betweencorporate governance and discretionary accruals indicatethat the earnings management practices will be carriedout if the company is getting a lot of information. Theseresults are consistent with the research conducted byAryati (2003). Third, the composition of theindependent commissioner was not statisticallysignificant to the earnings management measures, andvoluntary testing of these revelations on the relationshipbetween the practice of earnings management andcorporate governance mechanisms remains to show thatthe composition of an independent commissioner is notsignificant. Abstract

Universities hold a strategic role in society as the teaching university, the research university, and the bastion of civilization. In this decade, the challenges of the universities become more complex where a paradigm shift in the universities occur such as: (1) the shifting of the role of the universities due to the influence of the globalization; (2) the scarcity of resources in response to changes with the proper way; (3) the development of the science and technology which accelerates rapidly; and (4) the development of the rapid entrepreneurial culture. Some important and fundamental issues facing the universities college in Indonesia today is that the existence of the universities college in Indonesia still faces a number of obstacles in the policy, the implementation, the monitoring, and the evaluation. Moreover, the issue of quality and the relevance of outputs of the universities have not contributed optimally in the world of industry and society. The universities have not optimally been able to become the important sectorwhich can produce a significant number of entrepreneurs with the orientation of job creation and self-reliance. Based on the background of this grant research above, it can be concluded that the strategy of private universities towards the world class or high quality is studied. The method used was a qualitative research consisting of studying literature, conducting interviews, and distributing questionnaires to the informants in the universities in four provinces or cities in the area of The coordinator of The Private UniversitiesII of the southern sumatra and the analysis models. The following method used a quantitative method to measure the parameters of the performance of the universities and entrepreneurial growths of the universities. According to the results of the research in the first, second, and third year, a model to improve the e-governance-based quality to the universities through the research focus, the entrepreneurship, and the development of the resources was developed in the area of The coordinator of The Private Universities II of the southern sumatra. The final result of the improvement of e-governance-based quality in the universities in southern sumatra was the manifestation of the policy of the ministry of the higher education and research in implementing the management of the world-class universities, the scientific publications, and the reference textbooks. KEYWORDS: Quality, E-Governance, Research, Enterprise and Development

Abstract

Program kegiatan berkelanjutan perguruan tinggi saat ini belum sesuai dengan luaran yang diharapkan, yaitu; belum ada standarisasi sebuah model keberlanjutan (sustainability) di perguruan tinggi yang aplikabel dan efektif. Model program keberlanjutan (sutainability) di perguruan tinggi Kota Bandarlampung yang aplikabel dan efektif dalam upaya meningkatkan daya saing perguruan tinggi belum pernah dilakukan; dan kajian tentang model program perspektif keberlanjutan (sustainability) di perguruan tinggi Kota Bandarlampung belum optimal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menyusun model keunggulan bersaing yang berkesinambungan sebagai bentuk keunggulan dalam menciptakan strategi berbasis sumberdaya perguruan tinggi; menjelasan (eksplanatoris) melalui arahan operasional variabel penelitian berdasarkan variabel – variabel perspektif pertumbuhan & pembelajaran, perspektif keuangan, perspektif pelanggan, dan perspektif internal /bisnis internal sebagai variabel bebas (independe) dan variabel terkait dengan issu masalah penelitian yaitu perspektif sustainability sebagai variabel terikat (dependen); dan untuk menemukan sebuah konsep yang mendasar dari keunggulan bersaing yaitu tercipta nilai dan distribusi, yang diinisiasi dengan keberadaan teknologi informasi untuk mendukung model keberlanjutan perguruan tinggi di Bandarlampung. Target khusus yang ingin dicapai dalam penelitian adalah ditemukannya model keberlanjutan, bahwa determinasi keterkaitan variabel pertumbuhan & pembelajaran, keuangan, pelanggan, dan internal /bisnis internal merupakan faktor-faktor strategis untuk mewujudkan perspektif keberlanjutan perguruan tinggi berdaya saing tinggi.Metode penelitian ini, yaitu metode survei penjelasan (explanatory survei method) yang mengandung deskripsi, dan penelitian relasional terfokusnya pada penjelasan hubungan antar variabel. Variabel Perspektif pertumbuhan & Pembelajaran, diukur melalui indikator - indikator yang merupakan ciri dari variabel ini, yang dioperasionalkan menjadi pernyataan, dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa kuesioner. Variabel perspektif keuangan dengan pendekatan total performance scorecard, diukur melalui indikator-indikator yang merupakan ciri dari variabel ini, yang dioperasionalkan menjadi pernyataan, dengan menggunakan data sekunder dari perguruan tinggi. Pendekatan prototipe model perguruan tinggi keberlanjutan (sustainability) menggunakan Panel Least Square (PLS) dengan bantuan program Eviews Versi 8.Kata Kunci: Sustainability, Pertumbuhan & Pembelajaran, Keuangan, Pelanggan, dan Internal /Bisnis Internal.
