Abstract

Construction accidents remain a significant challenge in the construction industry. One of the biggest challenges is to design and communicate the safety plan of the project to all parties and people working on the construction site. The emergence of 8D Building Information Modeling (BIM) represents a technological advancement focusing on project safety, yet its implementation remains limited globally, including in Indonesia. This research was aimed to develop an 8D BIM model of a building project which allow project stakeholders to plan and examine the safety aspect of the project via virtual reality (VR). The digital model allows stakeholders to virtually identify construction hazards, plan the placement of safety equipment, and simulate safety protocols before implementation. It also facilitates clearer communication of safety plans to stakeholders and provides a realistic project experience via VR. This study marks an initial effort to leverage 8D BIM in construction projects, aiming to improve safety management by preemptively addressing potential accidents on-site.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of Accounting Information Systems (AIS) in improving the accuracy of budget planning and control within government agencies. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through semi structured interviews with financial managers, internal auditors, and system developers from multiple Indonesian public institutions. Supplementary analysis of official budgeting documents was conducted to triangulate findings. The results reveal that AIS contributes significantly to enhancing data integration and forecasting reliability, thereby reducing budget variances and supporting transparency. Furthermore, the system strengthens internal control mechanisms through real time audit trails and compliance tracking. However, the research also identifies persistent challenges, including limited technical interoperability, uneven digital infrastructure, and user competency gaps. The study emphasizes that the effectiveness of AIS is contingent upon institutional readiness, organizational culture, and sustained leadership support. A conceptual model is proposed to depict the interactive dynamics among system input, organizational processes, and budgetary outcomes. This research contributes to the literature by contextualizing AIS implementation in the public sector and highlighting its strategic relevance for fiscal governance. Implications for policy and system design are discussed, alongside suggestions for future research on AI enhanced budgeting systems.

Abstract

This study addresses critical gaps in Malaysia's mental health landscape by developing a culturally adaptive framework for anxiety disorder resources, where only 28% of adults recognize symptoms due to cultural stigma and poor resource design. Our key contribution is a user-centered framework integrating visual-interactive tools with cultural adaptation strategies to improve accessibility and literacy. The objective was to investigate how information design can overcome barriers, using a mixed-methods approach with 12 anxiety disorder patients (screened via DASS-21). Findings revealed: (1) format preferences (infographics: 40%, videos: 35%, simulations: 25%), (2) accessibility barriers (technical language: 45%, lack of credible sources: 65%, insufficient examples: 30%), and (3) demand for demographic personalization (age-targeted content: 78%, mood-tracking tools: 62%). Quantitative results showed strong alignment between preferred formats and comprehension gains (infographics improved understanding by 40% vs. text). The novelty lies in merging cognitive load theory with Malay cultural values (familial collectivism, Islamic coping mechanisms) into actionable design principles. Our framework demonstrates that culturally tailored visual-interactive content increases engagement by 35-40% compared to generic materials, while simplified Malay Language reduces stigma-related avoidance by 28%. These ideas translate into three evidence-based strategies: (a) minimalist visual formats to reduce cognitive load, (b) family-involved examples to respect collectivism, and (c) hybrid delivery (online/offline) for rural accessibility. The study provides policymakers with metrics-backed guidance, showing SMS-based hybrid tools achieve 58% adherence in low-bandwidth areas versus 22% for chatbots. Future work should validate scalability in larger cohorts and test AR/VR adaptations (requested by 70% of youth participants). This research advances both mental health communication theory and practical interventions for Southeast Asia's multicultural contexts.

Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT)-based learning management aims to improve the efficiency of the teaching and learning process in schools by using digital devices that facilitate classroom activities. This study aims to describe (1) the methods of implementing ICT-based learning management at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Medan, (2) the effectiveness of ICT use in improving learning quality, and (3) the challenges and obstacles encountered in its implementation. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection techniques include semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. Data analysis is conducted thematically to group information based on relevant patterns of findings. The results indicate that teachers utilize various digital platforms to access materials and assignments and integrate game elements such as Quizizz and Kahoot to enhance student engagement. Learning is also supplemented with video media and discussion activities to reinforce understanding. Findings also indicate that students are more enthusiastic and active when learning using technology. However, the main challenges faced include limited access to devices, unstable internet connections, and distractions caused by the use of digital devices. Despite this, using ICT has proven to enrich the learning experience, encourage student participation, and improve the overall quality of learning.

Abstract

High information asymmetry will raise suspicions that the company has a high inherent risk, which can reduce the company's value and make it unattractive as an investment asset. Companies with high information asymmetry can affect the increase in the cost of capital. This is because the company needs to offer a high return (cost of capital) so that investors are willing to invest their capital in the company. This study was conducted by testing the effect of information asymmetry on the cost of capital. In addition, this study also tested the moderating role of institutional ownership in strengthening the effect of information asymmetry on the cost of capital. The results of the study prove that information asymmetry has no effect on the cost of capital. The presence of institutional ownership is also known to be unable to strengthen the effect of information asymmetry on the cost of capital. This study contributes to agency theory which highlights the conflict that occurs between shareholders and company management related to information asymmetry.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Implementation of Local Government Information Systems and Government Internal Control Systems on Corruption (Case Study on the Regional Government Work Unit of Bandung Regency). The factors tested in this study are the Application of Local Government Information Systems and Government Internal Control Systems as independent variables and Corruption as the dependent variable. The research method used is quantitative. The data collection method used was a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences 27 application. The results showed that the Application of Local Government Information Systems and Government Internal Control Systems had a negative effect on corruption.

Abstract

The growing influence of online media in shaping public opinion has driven government institutions to modernize their monitoring and communication systems. This study aims to develop a web-based information system for monitoring public opinion, tailored to the needs of the National Standardization Agency of Indonesia (BSN). Using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach, the system was built through a phased prototyping and user involvement to ensure functional relevance. The final system enables sentiment classification of news articles, centralized data storage, trend visualization, and automated news clipping. Evaluation results indicate improvements in monitoring speed, accuracy, and usability compared to previous manual methods. This study confirms the effectiveness of RAD in building practical digital tools for public sector communication and reputation management.

Abstract

This study investigates the multifaceted factors shaping user experience in the adoption of AI-based information systems within healthcare settings. As artificial intelligence increasingly supports clinical decision-making processes, understanding the psychological and behavioral dimensions of user interaction becomes imperative. Utilizing a qualitative systematic literature review approach, this research synthesizes findings from scholarly articles published between 2020 and 2025. The analysis reveals three critical determinants influencing user experience: trust in AI, perceived usefulness, and ease of use. These factors play a central role in shaping technology acceptance, which acts as a mediating variable linking system attributes to overall user experience. Furthermore, digital literacy emerges as a moderating factor that either amplifies or diminishes the effects of the core determinants. To provide a comprehensive framework, the study integrates theoretical constructs from the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT), and Trust in Automation Theory. The resulting conceptual model underscores the interplay between user perceptions, cognitive processes, and external technological factors. Key findings emphasize the significance of user-centered system design, transparent and interpretable AI communication, and targeted digital literacy initiatives to promote broader and more effective adoption. From a theoretical standpoint, the research contributes to the evolving literature by combining behavioral science perspectives with information system adoption theories. Practically, the study offers valuable insights for system developers, designers, and healthcare institutions aiming to implement AI technologies effectively. Recommendations include fostering transparency in AI decision-making, ensuring intuitive system interfaces, and offering digital competency training tailored to diverse user profiles. Overall, this study underscores that a nuanced understanding of user-related factors is essential for maximizing the potential benefits of AI in healthcare and achieving sustainable digital transformation in clinical environments.

Abstract

Information systems develop along with the rapid development of information technology and have proven to play a role in various activities, such as storing, managing and distributing information by creating a website in its application. Puskesmas is a health service with the aim of providing basic health services to the community, and providing socialization about health. The problem that occurs is how the results of the application of the data collection method on the design of the puskemas information system and how the application of the implementation of the waterfall method designs a website-based puskesmas information system. the results of data management obtained by the puskesmas information system there are 4 processes consisting of profile data management, doctor data management, service data management, user data management. Abstract

This research presents the development of a Geospatial-Based Information System prototype for visitor management in Indonesia's culturally sensitive Baduy indigenous region. The study addresses the critical challenge of balancing cultural preservation with sustainable tourism development through an innovative technological framework that respects indigenous sovereignty. Utilizing Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, the research integrates traditional knowledge systems with modern geospatial technologies to create a governance tool that enhances rather than displaces traditional decision-making structures. The prototype system architecture incorporates permit management workflows, GPS-enabled check-in protocols, and spatial monitoring capabilities that enable Jaro authorities to regulate visitor access, monitor distribution patterns, and enforce culturally appropriate boundaries. Black box testing validated the prototype's functionality across multiple operational scenarios, confirming its feasibility as a protective mechanism against unregulated tourism activities. This methodological approach to cross-cultural information system design establishes a foundational framework demonstrating how thoughtfully implemented geospatial technologies amplify Indigenous governance capabilities while creating sustainable economic opportunities aligned with traditional values and cultural preservation imperatives. The research contributes significantly to the discourse on Indigenous digital sovereignty and culturally appropriate technological interventions in heritage management.
