Abstract

The Command Center is a breakthrough made by the Tenggarong Seberang District to improve public services as a Data and Information Center to support government programs related to Satu Data Indonesia (SDI) at the sub-district level. This command center aims to make it easier to obtain data and information that is useful for planning the development of Kutai Kartanegara Regency. This was done because, so far, the data collected by the sub-district has not been properly documented digitally. This method will make data in the sub-district easier to access and search when needed. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the command center in Tenggarong Seberang District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan. To realize the successful implementation of the command center, Tenggarong Seberang District has made breakthroughs in the form of providing facilities and infrastructure, providing quality human resources, building cooperation with all UPT heads and village heads, collecting potential information data and inputting data and information into the application system. Owned by the district. The research results show that implementation has gone well. This can be seen through the stages that have been carried out

Abstract

The Research and Community Service Information System (SIMPAS) at the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of the Kalimantan Institute of Technology (ITK) has evolved since it was introduced in 2018 to improve efficiency and transparency in managing research and community service activities. This research focuses on the development of SIMPAS through technical updates and the addition of features to meet increasingly complex user needs. This evolution includes updating the system environment using the latest version of Laravel, database refactoring to simplify data processing, and adding features such as account registration using Google email and more flexible user role management. This research uses the Scrum methodology in system development, which allows for continuous improvement and focuses on collaboration between teams. The results of this research are expected to optimize the main business functions of LPPM ITK in the process of submitting proposals, selection, to reporting research and community service results, which in turn supports the achievement of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education and regional development. This research also discusses the integration of the system with other related platforms, as well as the potential use of modern technology to support operational security and efficiency.

Abstract

Indonesia boasts a wide range of bamboo species and is among the largest manufacturers of bamboo in Asia. However, the Garut Bamboo Creative Industry Center, one of Indonesia's bamboo industries, encounters various challenges in managing this industry. This study is assumed to recognize the need for adaptation to changing times and more efficient management in the bamboo industry supply chain. The aim is to design an organization management and information system architecture based on blockchain technology. The methodology applied the Star Model and prototyping approach, leading to the development of a strategy, an association-based organizational structure, structured business processes, a balanced reward system, and the placement of human resources based on their qualifications. It enables product tracking and increases operational efficiency by integrating blockchain technology into warehouse and production information systems. It also proposes innovative solutions to ensure growth and sustainable development. The study suggests recommendations, including implementing blockchain technology as a product management and supply chain enhancement solution to support the bamboo company's growth and aspirations.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a major driver in the development of education management systems in the modern era. This study aims to examine the role of information technology in improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and accountability of education management. The study was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach through a review of literature from various relevant recent studies. The study results indicate that the digitization of education management information systems (EMIS) contributes significantly to accelerating data management, strengthening data-driven decision-making, and improving administrative transparency. Technology also plays an important role in strengthening teacher competencies through the use of digital platforms and online learning systems. However, challenges such as infrastructure limitations, the digital divide, and data security issues remain serious obstacles to its implementation. Looking ahead, the use of cutting-edge technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT) has great potential in shaping a more responsive and adaptive education management system. Therefore, a comprehensive and sustainable strategy is needed to support equitable and ethical digitalization of education management. Keywords: Information Technology, Education Management System, Education Digitalization

Abstract

PT. Sinarta Karya Papua, a medium-scale enterprise in Eastern Indonesia, faces operational challenges due to its reliance on manual sales recording systems, leading to data duplication, delayed reporting, and limited information transparency. This hinders operational efficiency and strategic decision-making. This study aims to develop a web-based sales management information system addressing these issues using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, selected for its rapid prototyping and iterative adaptation to user needs. Data was gathered through field observations, semi-structured interviews with staff and management, and literature reviews on information systems and RAD. The system was developed with PHP and MySQL to ensure flexibility and reliable data management. Findings demonstrate the successful integration of sales transaction processing, customer management, inventory control, and real-time reporting modules. Comprehensive functional testing (Blackbox Testing) confirmed 100% operational accuracy across all features, significantly improving record-keeping efficiency and information accessibility. The primary contribution lies in implementing RAD within Papua's unique business context—an underexplored area in existing literature. The system delivers a practical solution for PT. Sinarta Karya Papua while serving as a reference model for similar enterprises in geographically challenging regions. Key implications include enhanced organizational competitiveness through digital transformation and the potential replication of this framework across other business sectors in Eastern Indonesia.

Abstract

In the era of public information disclosure, public information management is essential for transparency, accountability, and citizen participation. This study assesses eight Public Information Management Officers (PPID) in Central Java, Indonesia, utilizing 21 variables measured by a Multi-Factor Evaluation Process (MFEP) based on Data Lifecycle Management (DLM) and Socio-Technical Systems (STS). Data was collected using Likert-scale questionnaires, and performance was assessed using Evaluation Weight Value (EWV) and Total Evaluation Weight (TEW). The results suggest that technology-related indicators outperformed human competency and regulatory compliance. "Use" and "Disposal" were the DLM phases with the worst performance, demonstrating deficiencies in data accountability and infrastructure. In STS, the "People" dimension lagged, emphasizing the need for capacity building. The findings indicate that, while digital infrastructure is robust, governance and human resource development require strengthening. Strategic improvements in underperforming sectors are suggested to strengthen public information governance.

Abstract

School libraries play an important role in supporting the educational process and improving student literacy. However, manual library management is still common, including at SMP Negeri 13 Medan. This causes various obstacles such as searching for book and member data, limited access to information outside school hours, and delays in returning books. To overcome these problems, this study developed a web-based library information system (e-Perpus) using the Agile method. The system is designed with the PHP programming language and MySQL database with the laravel framework. The Agile method allows for the development of systems that are flexible and adaptive to user needs. The results of the implementation show that the e-Perpus system is able to improve the operational efficiency of libraries and facilitate access to information for students and school staff.

Abstract

This study explores biology teachers’ perspectives on integrating information technology (IT) into biology education management in senior high schools. A qualitative phenomenological approach was employed to capture teachers’ lived experiences in using IT for curriculum planning, instructional delivery, assessment, and administrative tasks. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews with 12 senior high school biology teachers selected via purposive sampling. Observations and document analyses were also conducted to triangulate the findings. Teachers perceive IT integration as enhancing instructional efficiency, increasing student engagement, and supporting better data management. However, challenges such as inadequate infrastructure, limited technical skills, and inconsistent institutional support hinder optimal implementation. Teachers adopt adaptive strategies, including peer mentoring, blended learning models, and leveraging freely available online tools. School leaders should strengthen technical infrastructure, provide continuous professional development, and establish supportive policies for IT-based biology education management. This study provides a nuanced understanding of teachers’ real-world experiences in managing biology education with IT, offering context-specific insights for developing targeted policies and training programs.
