Abstract

This study aims to analyze and design an Inventory Management Information System (IMIS) for PT. XYZ, a company that currently relies on manual inventory processes, leading to inefficiencies and operational delays. To address these challenges, the IMIS was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, which followed three key stages: requirements planning, design workshop, and implementation. In the requirements planning stage, comprehensive user needs and system specifications were gathered. During the user design phase, iterative prototyping and continuous feedback sessions helped refine the system’s interface and functionalities. The rapid construction phase saw the development of core features—such as real-time inventory tracking, automated restocking alerts, and detailed transaction histories—using PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and MySQL. Finally, in the cutover phase, pilot testing demonstrated that the system reduced material search times from 15–30 minutes to nearly instantaneous retrieval, significantly improving inventory accuracy and overall operational efficiency. Further research is needed to evaluate its long-term performance and scalability. This study not only highlights the practical advantages of the RAD-based approach but also offers a promising model for organizations seeking to modernize their inventory management practices.

Abstract

Public information disclosure is a cornerstone of transparent, accountable, and participatory governance in higher education. This study examines the implementation of public information disclosure (PID) in State Religious Higher Education Institutions (PTKN) under Law No. 14/2008 and its derivative regulations. It aims to identify the gap between regulatory frameworks and institutional practices and to propose strategies for optimizing disclosure. The analysis employs Mazmanian’s policy implementation theory, focusing on three dimensions: problem characteristics, policy characteristics, and external environment. Data were drawn from the 2024 Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) conducted by the Central Information Commission, complemented by a review of regulatory instruments and institutional practices in PTKN. The results indicate that most PTKN are still categorized as “less informative” or “non-informative.” Implementation barriers include limited administrative capacity, inadequate digital infrastructure, weak monitoring systems, and entrenched bureaucratic cultures. These factors collectively prevent PTKN from fully realizing the objectives of the Public Information Disclosure Law.The study proposes strategies to overcome these barriers, including enhancing the competence of Information and Documentation Management Officers (PPID), developing integrated digital platforms, strengthening leadership commitment, and institutionalizing rigorous monitoring and evaluation mechanisms. Collaboration with external stakeholders and improved public literacy on the right to information are also essential. Optimizing PID is not only a matter of legal compliance but also a governance tool and a moral responsibility aligned with religious values. Successful implementation will enhance public trust, institutional accountability, and the global relevance of Indonesia’s religious higher education sector while contributing to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16.

Abstract

Higher education institutions are increasingly reliant on academic information systems to manage comprehensive academic processes. However, a preliminary survey of several respondents revealed user complaints regarding the service quality of these systems. Further analysis identified a gap between user expectations and perceptions of the service quality of the implemented academic information systems. This study aims to measure the service quality of SIAKAD (Academic Information System) at Siti Khodijah College of Health Sciences using the E-S-Qual model, which incorporates four dimensions: reliability, responsiveness, fulfillment, and efficiency. A quantitative approach was employed through a survey targeting students and lecturers. Data were collected using a questionnaire adapted from the E-S-QUAL (Electronic Service Quality) indicators to evaluate the academic information system’s service quality. The results show that there is a negative gap in all dimensions, which means that service quality has not fully met user expectations. The Efficiency dimension has the largest gap (-1.19), followed by Fulfillment (-1.13) and System Availability (-1.12), while the  dimension has the smallest gap (-1.08). These findings indicate the need for improvement, especially in the aspects of efficiency and fulfillment of service promises to increase user satisfaction. This study provides recommendations for information system managers to make improvements to the service process and conduct periodic evaluations for continuous improvement in service quality.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the implementation of classroom interaction categories in writing classes at SMK PGRI 2 Gianyar from the perspective of information sources and to identify the constraints in applying multi-way interaction. This qualitative descriptive research involved tenth-grade students and their English teacher as participants. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews, and field notes, focusing on the interaction patterns during teaching and learning activities. The findings revealed that 20 categories of the FLINT System were applied during three observation sessions. From the perspective of information sources, the teaching and learning process tended to be dominated by two-way interaction, with the teacher acting as the primary source of information. Several constraints were identified in promoting multi-way interaction, including limited time allocation, lack of teaching variety, and students’ passive behavior during lessons. Interviews also highlighted issues such as students’ minimal responses, lack of initiative during discussions, and the perception that English is difficult to learn. These findings indicate the need for strategies to create more balanced and interactive classrooms, where students can actively participate and develop better communication skills. This study is expected to provide insights for teachers in designing more engaging and effective classroom interactions to support the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

School feeding programs are widely recognized as strategic interventions to improve child nutrition, support academic achievement, and reduce the economic burden on low-income families, making them a vital component of social policy in many countries, including Indonesia. The Free Nutritious Meal Program for elementary schools aims to address these goals, yet its success depends not only on technical delivery but also on how beneficiaries perceive its benefits. This study examined the perceived benefits of the program by analyzing the influence of food quality, meal distribution frequency, and program information, with trust in government as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 133 parents of beneficiary students through structured questionnaires and analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results indicate that food quality has the strongest direct effect on perceived benefits, followed by program information. Meal frequency showed no significant direct effect but contributed indirectly by strengthening trust in government, which emerged as a significant mediator. These findings highlight that improving technical service quality must be accompanied by strategies to build institutional trust. The study offers theoretical contributions by integrating public service management and trust perspectives, and practical implications for policymakers to enhance service quality, transparency, and communication strategies.
