Abstract

The implementation of Management Information Systems (MIS) in Islamic educational institutions serves as a crucial strategy to enhance administrative efficiency, transparency, and the quality of educational services. However, this implementation process faces various challenges, including limited human resources, technological infrastructure, and resistance to change. This study aims to identify the challenges and opportunities in implementing MIS in Islamic educational institutions through a qualitative approach based on literature studies. Data were collected from various journal articles, books, and relevant official documents. The findings reveal that despite certain challenges, significant opportunities arise from government support, increasingly affordable technology, and the demand for modernizing educational management. This study provides recommendations to strengthen human resource capacity, expand infrastructure, and integrate MIS into the strategic policies of Islamic educational institutions. These findings are expected to assist policymakers and practitioners in optimizing MIS implementation to enhance the competitiveness of Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to explore global research trends on information technology integration in pragmatics studies through a bibliometric approach. Data were collected from the Scopus database over the past decade (2015–2024), resulting in 30 documents being analyzed. The analysis included document distribution based on publication type, institutional affiliation, author's country of origin, and keyword mapping using VOSviewer software. The analysis results show that most publications come from the United States, followed by the Russian Federation and the United Kingdom. The most productive institutions are RUDN University and Curtin University. The most dominant document type is scientific journal articles. Based on keyword co-occurrence analysis, three main clusters were identified: (1) technology integration approaches and processes, (2) evidence-based studies in educational and language contexts, and (3) communication applications and learning effectiveness. These findings provide a comprehensive overview of the research landscape in information technology integration in pragmatics and can serve as a strategic reference for academics and practitioners in designing more effective language learning innovations in the digital era.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and organizational communication on job satisfaction, with organizational commitment serving as a mediating factor in the educational context. A quantitative method was employed through a structured survey involving employees in an education-related industrial organization. The analysis was conducted using SPSS to test direct and indirect relationships among variables. The results indicate that both HRIS and communication significantly enhance job satisfaction, and this effect is further strengthened when organizational commitment is present. Because HRIS improves transparency and communication fosters engagement, employees feel more aligned with organizational goals, increasing satisfaction. These findings provide insights for educational institutions and human resource managers seeking to implement data-driven and participatory systems in line with SDG 8, which promotes decent work and economic growth through inclusive workplace strategies.

Abstract

This study explores the awareness and utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS) in enhancing chemistry education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Nigerian universities. Using a descriptive survey design, data were collected from 182 chemistry education lecturers across six geopolitical zones. The study assessed lecturers’ levels of awareness, accessibility, usage, and extent of integration of ITS platforms. Results revealed moderate to high awareness and a generally positive perception of ITS's value in improving teaching and learning outcomes. However, disparities in accessibility, institutional infrastructure, and practical integration hinder widespread adoption. While many lecturers acknowledged the benefits of ITS, challenges such as inadequate resources, limited institutional support, and inconsistent usage patterns remain. The study underscores the need for targeted training, institutional support, and policy reforms to facilitate the seamless adoption of ITS in chemistry education. These efforts are essential to harness the transformative potential of AI and ICT in the Nigerian higher education system.
