Abstract

The increasing reliance on digital technologies in healthcare has underscored the importance of robust information systems for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. As healthcare systems adopt artificial intelligence (AI) to support decision-making, the role of data governance and ethical AI has become increasingly vital in maintaining the reliability and trustworthiness of these systems. Data governance involves the frameworks, processes, and standards for managing the quality, integrity, and security of healthcare data, while ethical AI ensures that the algorithms driving healthcare decisions are transparent, fair, and free from biases. This paper explores the crucial role that data governance and ethical AI play in enhancing the reliability of healthcare information systems. It highlights key challenges such as data privacy concerns, algorithmic biases, and accountability, and discusses strategies for improving transparency, data stewardship, and decision-making frameworks. The research further examines the potential impacts of poor data governance and unethical AI practices on patient outcomes, trust in healthcare systems, and overall system efficiency. Through a review of current trends and best practices, this study aims to provide actionable insights for healthcare providers, policymakers, and technology developers in strengthening the integrity and effectiveness of healthcare information systems.

Abstract

In the digital transformation era, organizations are increasingly adopting Administrative Management Information Systems (AMIS) to enhance operational efficiency and competitiveness. This study explores the implementation of AMIS at PT. ABC using a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative performance metrics with qualitative insights from managerial staff. The results indicate that AMIS significantly improves administrative task processing speed, reduces error rates, and lowers operational costs. Furthermore, the system fosters transparency, real-time decision-making, and cross-departmental collaboration. The integration of Artificial Intelligence and data governance protocols further elevates AMIS from a transactional tool to a strategic asset. However, challenges such as user resistance and digital literacy gaps highlight the importance of comprehensive training and change management. Overall, AMIS proves to be a critical enabler of operational excellence and digital transformation within PT. ABC.

Abstract

Labuan Bajo is a captivating destination in the Lesser Sunda Islands, Eastern Indonesia. The location is renowned for its unique landscape–where volcanic remnants dramatically meet the ocean. The Komodo Dragon is the most famous animal living in the area. While the region's geological history undoubtedly encompasses a series of complex events, its regional geology has received little of the attention it deserves. This paper explores the geology of Labuan Bajo: the diverse rock formations, which consist of volcanic and carbonate sediments.The oldest rock encountered in the area is the Miocene volcanic rocks. Quaternary volcanics, which is the youngest unit, dominated the area. Columnar joints occur in some areas, indicating lava activities. Mio-Pliocene carbonates are common in the area. A cave system developed in the carbonate unit and the erosion processes develop unique shapes.

Abstract

Information systems are increasingly recognized as enablers of sustainable business practices. However, the extent of their impact across environmental, social, and governance (ESG) dimensions remains limited in current scholarship, particularly regarding mechanisms of influence. This narrative review investigates how information systems contribute to sustainability by enhancing operational efficiency, informing strategic decisions, and overcoming implementation challenges. Drawing from Scopus and Google Scholar, a systematic search was conducted using Boolean keyword combinations such as "Information Systems" AND "Sustainable Business Practices" and "Digital Transformation" AND "Sustainable Development." Studies meeting inclusion criteria—focused on the integration of IT in sustainability efforts—were synthesized thematically. The findings indicate that information systems significantly improve energy efficiency, reduce waste, and support environmental accounting. They enable real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and decision-making frameworks grounded in ESG principles. Big data and cloud platforms are shown to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and innovation. However, implementation is often hindered by infrastructural limitations, high costs, and resistance to change, especially in developing regions. The role of regulatory support and organizational culture emerged as critical systemic enablers. Comparative insights between countries highlighted best practices that can be adapted to local contexts. This review concludes that information systems are not merely tools but strategic assets for sustainability. Policy incentives, capacity-building, and inclusive digital infrastructure are recommended to bridge implementation gaps. Future research should explore the integration of emerging technologies for enhanced impact. Promoting awareness and access remains essential to scaling sustainable practices globally.

Abstract

 Enterprise Information Systems (EIS) including ERP, CRM, BI/BA, and DSS play critical roles in enhancing firm performance. However, their financial impacts vary across contexts, system types, and implementation designs. This study aims to systematically compare the financial effects of these systems using subgroup meta analysis, providing clarity on their differential contributions. A total of 120 studies were analyzed, focusing on three core financial outcomes: return on assets (ROA), return on sales (ROS), and revenue growth. Studies were selected from major IS meta analyses and empirical sources. Effect sizes were standardized using Fisher’s z, Hedges’ g, and log ratio transformations. A random effects model was applied, and subgroup analyses were conducted based on IS type and moderator variables including industry, region, firm size, and study design. CRM systems yielded the highest effect sizes (Cohen’s d = 0.67–0.75), especially in service sectors and developed markets. ERP systems showed moderate but consistent impact (d ≈ 0.54) through operational efficiency, while BI/BA (d ≈ 0.60) facilitated strategic planning. DSS contributed modestly (d ≈ 0.50). Moderator analysis revealed that larger firms and developed economies benefit more significantly from IS investments. Publication bias tests indicated some overestimation in cross sectional studies. These findings support the Resource Based View and complementary assets theory: IS value depends on integration with organizational capabilities. EIS types yield distinct financial benefits. CRM is optimal for rapid revenue and retention gains; ERP for internal efficiency; and BI for long term insights. Strategic alignment and contextual readiness determine ROI. The study offers theoretical and practical guidance for evidence based IS investment.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the role of social media and information technology in Islamic character education for the millennial generation. Millennials who grow up in the digital era face great challenges in maintaining moral and moral values in accordance with Islamic teachings. Along with the rapid development of technology, social media emerged as a means that can be utilized to spread da'wah messages and form Islamic character. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design, through social media content analysis and in-depth interviews with da'wah leaders and social media users. The results show that social media, especially platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, have a significant role in spreading Islamic values. The da'wah content published on these platforms contains moral messages that focus on Islamic morals, worship, and daily life in accordance with Islamic principles. However, this study also found major challenges related to the large amount of negative content spread on social media, which can damage the morals and morals of the millennial generation.

Abstract

The spread of fake news by advocates has become an important issue in the digital era that can damage the image of the legal profession. This study aims to identify the ethical and legal responsibilities that advocates must adhere to and analyze the impact of fake news dissemination on the profession's image. The method used is a normative legal approach, analyzing applicable codes of ethics and regulations. The analysis results show that non-compliance with ethical codes can lead to disciplinary sanctions and negative stigma against the legal profession. This study recommends the need for ongoing education, transparency, and responsible use of technology by advocates, as well as strengthening reporting mechanisms by professional associations. With a commitment to ethics, advocates can enhance public trust in the legal system.

Abstract

The integration of technology in English language teaching has been a significant development, further accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to the pandemic, technology was steadily being integrated into classrooms in developed countries, utilizing tools like interactive whiteboards and educational software. Additionally, digital language learning tools provided learners with flexible resources to enhance their language skills outside the classroom. However, in developing countries, including Indonesia, access to technology remained limited due to infrastructure and socioeconomic challenges, particularly in regional areas. This study looks closely at two high school English teachers’ teaching experience after the pandemic. The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly changed the way English is taught in Indonesia, especially in rural areas like Flores Island. The move to online learning sped up the use of technology in education, changing traditional teaching methods. Teachers like Elsa and Anna showed flexibility by using tools like Google Classroom for remote teaching and to increase student participation. It was also found that there is a doubt that the use of ICT in English language teaching brings a high level of dependency on the technology to the students.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This research aims to examine the influence of system quality, information quality, and service quality of the Rail Ticketing System (RTS) on customer satisfaction among PT. Kereta Api Indonesia passengers in Medan City. Materials and methods: A quantitative cross-sectional study was conducted with 385 passengers of PT. Kereta Api Indonesia in Medan City, Indonesia, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires measuring system quality, information quality, service quality, and customer satisfaction. Statistical analyses included descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation analysis, and path regression analysis using SPSS version 28. Results: The findings revealed that system quality (β = 0.324, p < 0.001), information quality (β = 0.287, p < 0.001), and service quality (β = 0.391, p < 0.001) significantly and positively influenced customer satisfaction. The model explained 68.4% of the variance in customer satisfaction (R² = 0.684). Service quality demonstrated the strongest impact on customer satisfaction, followed by system quality and information quality. Conclusions: All three quality dimensions of RTS significantly contribute to customer satisfaction, with service quality being the most influential factor. These findings suggest that PT. Kereta Api Indonesia should prioritize service quality improvements while maintaining high standards in system and information quality to enhance overall customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The ability to critically evaluate digital information is a vital skill for students in an era of information overload and misinformation. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of integrating Semantic Web and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in Informatics learning to enhance high school students' information evaluation skills. A quasi-experimental method was employed using a pretest-posttest control group design with two 11th-grade classes (30 students each). The intervention utilized Google Knowledge Graph and ChatGPT, with evaluations conducted via practical tests, digital literacy rubrics, and student perception questionnaires. Results revealed a statistically significant improvement in the experimental group’s evaluation scores (p < 0.01), particularly in accuracy and analytical depth. Students responded positively to semantic tools, although some reported difficulties understanding complex AI-generated content. The study concludes that Semantic Web and AI integration can serve as an effective pedagogical strategy in Informatics learning, provided there is adequate infrastructure and active teacher support as facilitators.
