Abstract

This community service activity aims to support the Muhammadiyah Banyumas Islamic Boarding School in developing a website as a means of da'wah and information that meets the needs of the digital era. As Islamic educational institutions, Islamic boarding schools play a pivotal role in disseminating Islamic values and fostering communication with the community. However, limited use of information technology often hinders the rapid and effective delivery of information. Therefore, the development of the website https://pontrenmubanyumas.com was carried out as an effort to modernize the Islamic boarding school's da'wah and information media. The implementation method included needs analysis, website management training, technical assistance, and evaluation of website utilization using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The results showed a measurable positive impact: 90% of participants understood the principles of website management, 85% considered the website's use effective for disseminating information and strengthening da'wah, and 75% experienced increased confidence in managing the website sustainably. This website development is expected to enhance the image of Islamic boarding schools as institutions that are adaptable to technological advancements, expand the reach of da'wah, and strengthen the relationship between the Islamic boarding school and the community. Thus, this website functions as an information media and digital preaching tool that supports the realization of progressive Islamic boarding schools in accordance with Muhammadiyah's vision.

Abstract

This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the dynamics of E-Learning in the context of higher education and its relevance to the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy. This study also analyzes the strategic initiative of the Indramayu Library and Archives Service (DPA) which launched a Website-Based E-Learning Information System as an inclusive and free community-based non-formal education program. The method used is a qualitative and descriptive-analytical literature review, which focuses on the synthesis of data from scientific journals and academic publications. The results of the study identify four main pillars: (1) The development of E-Learning has evolved from passive CBT to an AI-supported Adaptive, Mobile, and Immersive model; (2) There are significant differences in implementation, where universities emphasize autonomy, specialization, and research, in contrast to the instructional nature of schools; (3) The advantages of E-Learning lie in flexibility, cost efficiency, and increased digital competence, while its disadvantages include challenges in infrastructure access (digital divide) and deficits in social interaction; and (4) As a contribution to Wiralodra University, a blended-flexible strategy, improved lecturer e-Tutor competency, and diversified digital assessments are recommended. Overall, the success of the DPA Indramayu e-Learning system depends heavily on the DPA's ability to address ICT infrastructure challenges and continuously develop an adaptive and interactive curriculum, thus serving as an inclusive solution for enhancing community capacity in the digital age. E-Learning is a transformative catalyst that requires inclusive pedagogy and careful risk management to optimize its full potential in producing competitive graduates in the digital age.

Abstract

Based on data released by the International Data Corporation (IDC), the global market for personal computing devices experienced a year-over-year growth of 7.3% in the second quarter of 2024. This marks the second consecutive quarter of positive growth after nine quarters of decline. The trend suggests an increase in computer usage intensity, which is directly associated with a higher likelihood of hardware failures, particularly in components such as hard drives, RAM, and motherboards. This research aims to create a mobile-based application that can automatically classify types of computer component damage based on user-reported issues. The approach utilizes machine learning, specifically the Multinomial Naïve Bayes algorithm, combined with the Term Frequency–Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) method for text feature extraction. The training data consists of categorized complaint texts according to the type of hardware problem. The resulting model was integrated into a mobile application to enable automated damage prediction. Experimental findings indicate that the proposed model performs effectively, achieving an accuracy rate of 78% in identifying computer damage categories. In summary, the developed application can help both technicians and general users diagnose potential hardware problems more accurately and efficiently. This not only speeds up the troubleshooting process but also reduces diagnostic errors and unnecessary part replacements. Moreover, the integration of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and machine learning enables the system to continuously improve its accuracy and adaptability as it learns from new data over time.

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Waste Bank Management Information System (Sistem Informasi Manajemen Bank Sampah/SIMBA) and its role in enhancing community participation in environmental management in Dumai City, Indonesia. Waste management has become a pressing issue in urban areas, and Dumai faces significant challenges due to limited infrastructure and low public awareness. SIMBA, a web-based platform developed by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, integrates national waste bank data to support efficient, transparent, and measurable waste management. Using a literature review approach, this study compiles and synthesizes findings from relevant national and international research related to management information systems and public participation in environmental governance. The findings indicate that SIMBA has improved data transparency, administrative efficiency, and citizen engagement by enabling residents to monitor waste deposits and economic returns in real time. The system motivates behavioral change by linking ecological awareness with tangible financial benefits. However, implementation barriers persist, including limited technological infrastructure, low digital literacy among waste bank managers and users, and insufficient local policy and funding support. To overcome these challenges, the study recommends capacity building through digital literacy training, stronger collaboration between government, community, and private sectors, and policy optimization using data-driven decision-making. Overall, SIMBA demonstrates strong potential as a strategic instrument for promoting participatory, adaptive, and sustainable environmental management at the local level.
