Abstract

Delays in system completion, continuously evolving requirements, and ineffective communication between developers and users are common challenges in information system development. This study aims to implement the Scrum method in the development of an Academic Information System for Senior High Schools (SMA) to address these issues. Scrum was selected as an agile software development framework that emphasizes iterative, adaptive, and collaborative processes. The research methodology employed is Action Research, in which system development is conducted through multiple sprints, each consisting of planning, execution, review, and retrospective phases. The implementation results indicate that the Scrum method successfully increased development progress transparency by 40% and reduced feature deviation from user requirements (scope creep) by 30%. In addition, the developed system was completed 25% faster than the estimated timeline using the waterfall method. The resulting system has been integrated with core academic modules, including student admission (PPDB), scheduling, grade processing, and reporting. This study concludes that Scrum is not only effective in accommodating dynamic requirement changes but also enhances stakeholder satisfaction—particularly among school administrators and staff—through their continuous involvement in sprint review activities. Overall, the implementation of Scrum proves to be a viable solution for information system development in educational institutions.

Abstract

The phenomenon of information overload arising from the flood of data in the digital era has impacted almost all aspects of life, including patterns of art appreciation. This article aims to examine how information overload, particularly through social media and digital spaces, is changing the way society understands, evaluates, and enjoys works of art. This study uses a qualitative approach with literaturea analysis and a critical examination of contemporary visual culture phenomena. The results show that art appreciation, which was previously reflective and in-depth, has shifted toward a consumerist, instantaneous, and digital popularity-based pattern. The appreciation process is now more often determined by algorithmic logic, virality, and the speed of information distribution, rather than the aesthetic value and intrinsic meaning of the artwork itself. This change poses a challenge for artists and art institutions to maintain the quality of art appreciation amidst the rapid flow of digital information.

Abstract

This study examines the validity of electronic consent in online loan agreements according to Indonesian laws and regulations, specifically Law Number 11 of 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions and its amendments in Law Number 19 of 2016. Electronic consent, such as the “click agree” mechanism in online loan applications, is legally recognized if it is made consciously by the user, through a reliable and secure electronic system, and in accordance with the principles of prudence and honesty as stipulated in Article 1320 of the Civil Code and Article 15 of the Electronic Information and Transactions Law. However, implementation in the field still faces obstacles, including low legal and digital literacy among the public. In cases of default, agreements remain subject to general civil law, with electronic evidence valid under Article 5 of the ITE Law. This research uses a normative-juridical approach through a literature review, combining legislative, conceptual, and case studies to analyze the legal framework, implementation, constraints, and implications of electronic consent. The results emphasize the importance of regulatory harmonization, electronic signature certification, and digital legal education to create legal certainty and optimal consumer protection.

Abstract

Purpose: The study examined how management information system influences the performance of cement-producing firms in Southeast Nigeria. Specifically, the influence of the transaction processing system, decision support system and executive support system on firm performance was assessed. Research methodology: The research design deployed in the study was a descriptive survey while the population of the study compromised 143 staff in the accounting and management information system departments of the selected four (4) cement companies in Southeast Nigeria. Yamane formula for sample size was applied in determining the sample size of 141 out of the population size of 143. The researchers collected primary data using a structured questionnaire administered to the respondents. Pearson Product Moment Correlational analysis was applied to establish the relationship between the variables of the study at a 5% level of significance. Results: Transaction processing system, decision support system and executive support system have a significant and positive effect on the firm performance of cement-producing companies in Southeast Nigeria. Limitations: The results are more fittingly applicable to only cement manufacturing companies. Therefore, they cannot be generalized to other sub-sectors of the Nigerian manufacturing industry. Also, the findings are valid to the extent that the responses to the questionnaire are free from bias. Contribution: The study contributes to knowledge by filling the gap created by the lack of empirical research that uncovers the influence of management information systems on the performance of cement manufacturing firms in the context of Southeast Nigeria.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to develop a flipbook-based personal development information service model and examine the increase in self-awareness of late adolescents as a measure of its effectiveness Research/methodology: This research used development research methods with an ADDIE design model. The instruments used in this study were validation and practicality sheets, model needs analysis questionnaires, self-awareness questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The data processing used in this research was based on the model's validity and practicality, and N-gain test analysis and Paired Sample t-test using SPSS version 24 were also carried out to evaluate effectiveness. Results: The research results obtained are as follows: 1) assessment of the feasibility of the flipbook-based personal development information service model shows a high validity category with an average value of 91%, and its practicality is considered very practical to use with an average value of 87%; 2) assessment of effectiveness, there is a Sig.2 tailed value of 0.000 < 0.025, so Ho is rejected, and Ha is accepted, as well as an increase in the average (Gain) of pre- and post-test data of 0.60, which is classified as a medium criterion. Based on the research results, the developed product model is effective and contributes to increasing self-awareness among high school students in their late adolescence. Conclusions: The flipbook-based personal development information service model is proven to be valid, practical, and effective in enhancing self-awareness among late adolescents. The product development follows the ADDIE framework and meets the criteria of high validity (91%), high practicality (87%), and effectiveness (N-gain = 0.60; Sig. = 0.000), indicating a statistically significant improvement in students' self-awareness. Limitations: This study is limited to high school students in South Tangerang and does not generalize across broader adolescent populations. The implementation relies on digital literacy and access to stable internet, which may not be consistent across various educational contexts. Contribution: This study introduces a validated flipbook-based model that enhances self-awareness in adolescents through accessible and interactive guidance services.

Abstract

This research dives into the complex dynamics between information technology, organizational culture, and employees at bfreshgigi, a dental health company that is transforming in the digital era. Through in-depth interviews with six employees from various positions, the study reveals how information technology is not just a tool, but a fundamental game changer. Organizational culture emerged as a critical counterweight, sometimes supporting innovation, but sometimes hampered by hierarchical structures. Employee performance was found to go far beyond mere productivity, encompassing adaptability and creativity. The findings suggest that alignment between technology, culture and performance is critical; when aligned, the results are outstanding, but imbalances can trigger stress and demoralization. This study not only enriches theoretical understanding but also offers practical insights for organizations struggling with digital transformation.

Abstract

The development of information technology has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including in the management of population data at the village level. Conventional population information systems that still use manual methods often have various problems such as data inconsistency, difficulty in finding information, and slow administrative service processes. Therefore, this research aims to develop a web-based village population information system that can overcome these problems. This web-based population information system is designed using a waterfall system development approach. Data collection methods were conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The system was built using PHP programming language and MySQL database. The results showed that this web-based population information system is able to present population data accurately, quickly, and easily accessible by the community and village officials. With this web-based population information system, it is expected to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of population data management at the village level, as well as provide convenience for the community in accessing information and obtaining population administration services.
