Abstract

Digital transformation is pushing schools to adopt efficient academic information systems, but many schools in 3T areas including SMK Muhammadiyah Aimas still manage grades manually, making them prone to input errors, data duplication, and slow academic recap and reporting processes. This situation shows how important it is to find a systematic way to make value management more accurate, efficient, and open. This research aims to develop and evaluate a web-based system for managing value, designed to meet the needs of vocational schools in a limited context. Using a Research and Development (R&D) approach, the developed system integrates master data management, daily values, midterm exams, final exams, attendance, and automatic final grade calculation. The test results show that all features function according to specifications, while expert validation places the software aspect in the "very good" category. Usability testing by teachers yielded a score of 93%, indicating a high level of ease of use, satisfaction, and utility. The novel contribution of this research is the creation of a web-based value system that amalgamates value and attendance automation within the framework of 3T schools, a subject that remains infrequently examined. The study's limitations include the absence of API integration and its focus on a single school for evaluation. Nevertheless, this system has important implications for improving teachers' work efficiency and accelerating school digitalization in 3T.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) identify and analyze the legal provisions regarding the validity of electronic signatures within the Indonesian civil law system; and (2) examine and analyze the legal framework governing the verification of electronic signatures as evidence in civil cases according to the prevailing laws and regulations in Indonesia. This study employs a normative juridical research method, using primary data derived from statutory regulations and legal literature. The data were analyzed qualitatively and descriptively by examining the conformity of legal implementation with the principles of evidence in civil procedural law. The research findings indicate that: (1) electronic signatures have legitimate and legally recognized status as long as they meet the requirements stipulated in Article 11 of Law Number 11 of 2008 on Electronic Information and Transactions; and (2) the verification of the validity of electronic signatures follows the general procedures of evidence examination. The study recommends that: (1) there should be increased legal awareness regarding the validity and security of electronic signatures in digital transactions. Intensive public dissemination can help the community understand that legally valid electronic signatures possess the same legal force as conventional signatures, thereby enhancing efficiency and trust in technology-based economic activities; and (2) it is important to strengthen digital legal literacy and capacity through continuous training on electronic evidence and cybersecurity. With a comprehensive understanding, law enforcement officials can assess the validity of electronic signatures objectively and consistently in accordance with the principles of justice and legal certainty.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of financial attitude and accounting information systems on business sustainability, with financial literacy as a mediating variable, among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Gorontalo City. This research adopts a quantitative approach using a causal survey design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 MSME owners in Gorontalo City and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that financial attitude has a positive and significant effect on business sustainability. Meanwhile, accounting information systems do not have a significant direct effect on business sustainability. Furthermore, financial literacy is not able to mediate the relationship between financial attitude and business sustainability. However, financial literacy significantly mediates the relationship between accounting information systems and business sustainability. These findings suggest that business sustainability among MSMEs is strongly influenced by internal financial behavior and competencies. Financial literacy plays a crucial role in transforming accounting information into meaningful managerial decisions that support long-term business sustainability. This study contributes to the Resource-Based View (RBV) theory by highlighting financial literacy as a strategic intangible resource for MSMEs.

Abstract

The This study is based on the phenomenon of increasing investment losses and FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) in Indonesia, with illegal investment losses amounting to IDR 139 trillion and FOMO among young people rising to 80% by 2024. This trend aligns with the growing number of investors and digital literacy in Indonesia, particularly in Java, which has the highest concentration of investors. The large population of Generations Y and Z in West Java serves as the subject of this research, highlighting the gap between financial literacy (56.10%) and financial inclusion (88.31%). This reinforces the urgency of this study. Information disclosure is considered crucial in reducing information asymmetry and managing risk in investment decision-making. The main objective of this study is to examine the direct and indirect effects of digital literacy, financial literacy, gender, and FOMO on stock investment decisions, as well as to test the role of information disclosure. A quantitative approach is used, with a questionnaire distributed to 443 respondents from Generations Y and Z in West Java, all of whom have investment experience in stocks. The purposive sampling technique was used, and data analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to test model validity, reliability, and relationships between variables. The results show that digital literacy, financial literacy, gender, and FOMO significantly affect stock investment decisions. Information disclosure mediates the relationship between financial literacy, gender, and FOMO on investment decisions but does not mediate the relationship between digital literacy and investment decisions. Furthermore, information disclosure positively influences stock investment decisions, emphasizing the importance of transparency. This study contributes to the development of a theoretical model that highlights the role of market discipline through information disclosure. Practically, the findings can guide OJK and companies in designing digital-financial literacy programs and improving information transparency to prevent investment fraud and increase investor confidence. The study suggests that investors should enhance their understanding of investment risks and critically assess available information. Limitations include the focus on Generations Y and Z in West Java using purposive sampling, and the exclusion of other factors like education. The self-report quantitative method may lead to bias, and cross-sectional data does not capture changes in investment behavior over time. Future research is recommended to expand the demographic sample, include additional variables, and use a mixed-method approach for more comprehensive results.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the Example/Non-Example cooperative learning model in improving student learning outcomes in the subject Fundamentals of Design, Modelling, and Building Information (DPIB) for Grade X students at SMK Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research was driven by low student achievement, with over 50% failing to meet the school’s minimum passing grade of 70, highlighting the need for more engaging and student-cantered learning strategies. The Example/Non-Example model was chosen for its potential to foster critical thinking through visual analysis and collaborative learning. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), consisting of two cycles with the stages of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The participants were 31 Grade X DPIB students. Data was collected using validated multiple-choice tests with 22 items in Cycle I and 23 items in Cycle II. The findings revealed an increase in the average score from 75.51 in Cycle I to 80.96 in Cycle II, representing a 26.08% improvement. These results indicate that the Example/Non-Example model is effective in enhancing student achievement and can serve as an alternative instructional strategy for improving competency attainment in vocational subjects.

Abstract

BIM has been integrated across various project phases, from planning and execution to operations and maintenance. Despite its growing adoption, limited studies have systematically measured BIM maturity within Indonesia’s public sector, particularly under the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MPWH). This study, therefore, seeks to fill that gap by evaluating the extent of BIM implementation in construction projects, with a focus on its effectiveness in enhancing cost efficiency, quality, and time management. A descriptive research method was applied, using manual data analysis derived from internal monitoring reports, questionnaire responses, and literature reviews. The level of BIM implementation was assessed across three core dimensions: technology, processes, and policy frameworks. These were measured using the BIM Maturity Index (BIMMI), which showed maturity levels ranging from “Managed” to “Integrated,” depending on the sub-category. On average, BIM adoption within the ministry is categorized at the “Managed” level, with a BIMMI score of 55%. Readiness across technological infrastructure, operational procedures, and regulatory frameworks varies widely among organizational units. For instance, the Directorate General of Highways (DGH) achieved an “Optimised” level with a score of 83% and could serve as a national benchmark. In comparison, the Directorate General of Human Settlements (DGHS) reached an “Integrated” level at 73%. In contrast, the Directorate General of Water Resources (DGWR) and the Directorate General of Housing (DGH) showed much lower maturity levels, at 37% and 13% respectively, particularly in contractual policy readiness, which remains at an “Ad-hoc” level (27%). The findings highlight a research question central to this study: How do variations in policy readiness and technological infrastructure influence BIM maturity across MPWH units? The results support the hypothesis that policy readiness is the most decisive factor limiting BIM integration, offering novel insights for designing targeted national strategies to accelerate BIM adoption.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology requires human resources (HR) who are adaptive, competent, and competitive. This study analyzes the role of information technology education in improving HR quality in the technology sector through a systematic literature review of Indonesian studies. The findings show that IT education, in both formal settings (schools and universities) and non-formal programs (courses, certifications, and industry-based training), significantly enhances technical skills such as programming, cybersecurity, and data analysis, while also developing non-technical skills like communication, collaboration, and problem-solving. Technology-based learning models, including e-learning, blended learning, and project-based learning, have proven to expand access, increase effectiveness, and foster innovation in learning. Collaboration between educational institutions, industry, and government is essential to align curricula with workforce needs. Despite challenges such as limited infrastructure, unequal internet access, and varying educator capacities, the study confirms that investing in IT education is a strategic approach to developing high quality human resources and supporting national competitiveness in the digital era.
