Abstract

The study aims to identify the barriers in information sharing among humanitarian NGOs, providing educational services for Syrian refugees in Jordan. The study has used qualitative exploratory case study through semi-structured interviews. The interviews were conducted with project managers, coordination officers, and supply managers in their offices in Amman. The results were analysed based on the interviews, conducted among employees. Different barriers were evaluated through the interviews including information availability, internet issues, confidentiality and privacy, the commitment of partners and managemnt, security issues, language barrier, quality of information, corruptio, and culture and tradition. The effectiveness of information systems in supply chaim management leads to incentive misalignment, under-optimal decisions, and difficulties of refugeed demand uncertainty. The information technology facilitates efficient supply chain because of associated advantages, including knowledge and best practices to ensure effective performance.

Abstract

Closed-loop supply chain has gained a significant attention during the recent decades since there is an increased awareness toward sustainable development. However, the implementation of closed-loop supply chain is confronted with numerous barriers and challenges due to uncertainties in input as well as in process. In contrast to manufacturing process where the input is mostly homogeneous raw material, the reverse chains input comes from products end-of-use or end-of-life; therefore the timing, quality and quantity are uncertain. The recovery process also brings other challenges due to various quality grades of the product returns and various recovery options. On the other hand, information technology has been studied extensively in relation to supply chain management. Most of the works show that the use of information technology could enhance supply chain performance. However, the study on the importance of information technology in closed-loop supply chain is still limited. In this paper, we discuss the role of information technology and then propose a conceptual framework of decision making in adopting IT in closed-loop supply chain management.

Abstract

Risk management is major part of every enterprise. Proper risk management in all the department of an organization is one of the guaranties of success. However, Indonesian supply chain companies are lacking in information system (IS) risk management implementation. These companies are facing internal and external issues due to which the performance of Indonesian supply chain companies is not up to the mark. Thus, the objective of this study is to examine the role of internal and external factors in supply chain IS risk management implementation. Thus, the data is collected by collaborating with supply chain employees in Indonesia. Accordingly, primary data is used in this study to approach end results. Results of the study highlighted that various internal and external factors have important relationship with supply chain IS risk management implementation. Internal factor namely; organization culture and management commitment have positive effect on IS risk management implementation. External factor, namely; competitive pressure also has important role. Additionally, organization structure is one of the factors which strengthen the positive relationship of management commitment and supply chain IS risk management implementation.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine (1) the readiness of teacher in applying ICT of science learning, (2) the level according to the application of ICT in the implementation of science learning, (3) the level of completeness of learners after applying ICT in science learning. This evaluation research use the Countenance Stake model that are Antencedent (input), Transaction (process), and Outcomes (output). Respondents involved in this study were Science teachers and students in Junior High School in Yogyakarta that consists of SMPN 5, SMPN 8, SMPN 15, and SMP Pangudi Luhur 1 Yogyakarta.Data collection techniques using purposive sampling using the instrument observation sheets, questionnaires teachers, questionnaires learners interview guidelines and checklist documents RPP. Data were analyzed using a quantitative approach to the t-score, anda qualitative approach descriptively. The results of this study are (1) the preparation of teachers in applying ICT is still not optimal. (2) the suitability of the use of ICT in the learning process quite well, it was shown that on average the suitability of the use of ICT 48,24% at a preliminary stage, 53,21% on core activities. 47,20% at the closing, and 36,74% in the assessment of the range of 56-68%, (3) learning Outcomes are still unsatisfactory ie 62,72% of the normal standard of 70%.

Abstract

Abstract-There is no particular model for economic management in Iran. In the current circumstances where Iranian economy is under international embargos, resistance economy can guarantee national independence by acting as a model for domestic economy. Development of intellectual capital is the main criterion of national development and can also introduce synergy in resistance economy. The present paper aims to propose a comprehensive model for resistance economy based on the role of intellectual capital in Iran and the operations and information management via a mixed research method. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of information values in the value chain on gaining competitive advantage by considering the effect of the strategic alignment of the IT program and the organization's strategies. First, the Supreme Leaders views on resistance economy, library references, and semi-structured interviews with 15 faculty membersselected using purposive samplingwere analyzed using the grounded theory. The concepts derived from case studies were categorized as 475 and 61 primary and final concepts, respectively, and then modeled and classified as 30 influential parameters in four aspects of capital (human, psychological, social, and spiritual capital). In addition, the tests were verified and the model was validated via quantitative data analysis.

Abstract

Assessment of the performance of civil servants (PNS) is still considered less objective and subjective tended to by some, so we need a solution to improve the objectivity of assessment. The target of employee work (SKP) is one solution to improve objectivity in the assessment of civil servants. Backpropagation is one of the methods in neural networks which is implemented in the information systems of SKP for used classification of data performance. Observation and literature became the method of data collection in this study. Web-based information systems of skp are facilitated for employees in the preparation of assessments. Backpropagation can be implemented to perform data classification of performance. Keyword: Neural network; Backpropagation, Classification, SKP Received: 2 February, 2017; Accepter: 15 March, 2017
