Abstract

This study evaluates user acceptance of E-Marketplace information systems by integrating the PIECES Framework with a Human–Computer Interaction (HCI) approach. This integration offers a comprehensive view of both technical system performance and user-centered interaction, particularly for users with disabilities. The PIECES Framework assesses system quality and operational effectiveness, while the HCI approach emphasizes usability, user experience, and interaction patterns that influence acceptance and satisfaction. Using an action research design, data were collected via questionnaires from a sample of 30 respondents. The findings indicate that user interest has a partial yet significant effect on behavior, while other variables jointly influence user engagement. Notably, there was a marked increase in user understanding of internet tools—from 27% initially not understanding application use to 91% demonstrating improved comprehension. This progress underscores the importance of accessible and user-friendly design in enhancing trust and perceived security. The results highlight the critical role of consistent interface design, clear navigation, and inclusive visual elements in promoting usability and satisfaction. The study offers valuable insights for system developers and researchers to improve E-Marketplace platforms by aligning technical performance with inclusive, user-centric design—ensuring accessibility for all users, including persons with disabilities, and driving greater digital inclusion in the evolving digital economy.

Abstract

The implementation of smart farming in small-scale hydroponic enterprises is often constrained by high automation costs and technological complexity. This study examines the utilization of the AgriTrack information system as a practical approach to strengthening smart farming practices through structured digital data management. AgriTrack was utilized in a small-scale hydroponic farm using a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall approach, encompassing system configuration, operational deployment, and evaluation through functional testing and user acceptance testing. The system applies a cycle-based relational data model to manage cultivation records from sowing to harvesting and integrates automated scheduling with Telegram Bot notifications. Testing results indicate a 100% success rate across core operational functions, while user evaluation shows that routine cultivation data recording time was reduced from several minutes to under one minute per entry. Notification delivery was consistently observed within approximately one minute after scheduled triggers, supporting timely operational decisions. These findings demonstrate that AgriTrack effectively strengthens smart farming practices in MSME-scale hydroponic enterprises by improving efficiency and accountability, while providing a scalable foundation for gradual adoption of advanced technologies such as IoT and data analytics.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including governance. One of the innovations that has been widely adopted is Artificial Intelligence (AI), which plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of public services. The Indonesian government itself has made efforts to utilize this technology through the Electronic-Based Government System (SPBE) policy, which is regulated in Presidential Decree No. 95 of 2018. The implementation of AI in the public sector is expected to support the vision of “Golden Indonesia 2045” by creating a more adaptive, transparent, and accountable bureaucracy. However, the implementation of AI in government is not without challenges, such as bureaucratic complexity, limited digital infrastructure, and low levels of technological literacy among state officials. Therefore, a comprehensive and sustainable strategy is needed, including the development of human resource competencies and the application of ethical policies aligned with the values of Pancasila and the AI principles agreed upon in the G20 forum. This study aims to analyze the impact of AI implementation in local government information systems on the effectiveness of public service delivery in Indonesia. Additionally, this research also explores the extent to which AI implementation can drive organizational development in government agencies with complex hierarchical structures. The findings of this study are expected to provide both theoretical and practical contributions to strengthening technology-based governance in Indonesia.

Abstract

Deepfake pornography enables the manipulation of an individual’s image or likeness into explicit content without consent, resulting in severe harm to personal dignity, privacy, reputation, and psychological well-being. This study aims to examine the urgency of criminalizing deepfake pornography within Indonesia’s legal framework, particularly under the Law on Electronic Information and Transactions (UU ITE), which currently lacks explicit regulation addressing this phenomenon. Employing a normative juridical research method, this study analyzes relevant Indonesian legislation, including the UU ITE, the Pornography Law, and the Criminal Code, alongside fundamental principles of criminal law. A comparative legal approach is also adopted by examining regulatory responses in several jurisdictions, such as the United States, the European Union, and Japan, which have implemented more specific and adaptive legal measures against deepfake-related offenses. The findings reveal significant legal gaps in Indonesian law that hinder effective law enforcement and fail to provide adequate legal protection for victims. Consequently, this study argues that the explicit criminalization of deepfake pornography within the UU ITE is essential to ensure legal certainty, enhance victim protection, and strengthen cybercrime enforcement mechanisms. The study further recommends regulatory reform that integrates criminal sanctions, platform accountability, and victim-oriented remedies as part of a comprehensive legal response to technology-driven sexual exploitation in the digital era.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of budgetary slack, information asymmetry, and trust on managerial decision-making quality within organizational budgeting contexts. Using a quantitative approach and data collected from 150 managerial respondents across various industries in Indonesia, this research employs Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (SmartPLS 4.0) to analyze both direct and moderating relationships among the variables. The results reveal that budgetary slack and information asymmetry have significant negative effects on managerial decision-making quality, whereas trust exerts a positive influence. Furthermore, trust moderates the relationships between budgetary slack and information asymmetry with managerial decision-making, such that the negative effects of both variables are weaker under high-trust conditions. These findings highlight the crucial role of trust as a behavioral control mechanism that enhances decision-making quality by fostering transparency and reducing opportunistic behavior. The study contributes to the behavioral management accounting literature by integrating agency theory and social exchange theory to explain how relational factors interact with formal control mechanisms. Practically, organizations are encouraged to reduce information asymmetry and budgetary slack through participative budgeting, transparent communication, and trust-building initiatives, ensuring that managerial decision-making aligns with organizational objectives.
