Abstract

Flood events are increasing in frequency and severity worldwide due to climate change, rapid urbanization, and land-use transformation. Flood risk mapping has therefore become a critical tool for disaster risk reduction and spatial planning. This study aims to develop and analyze a flood risk mapping framework based on Geographic Information System (GIS) and multi-criteria decision analysis techniques. The research integrates physical, environmental, and socio-economic factors including rainfall intensity, slope, elevation, land use, soil type, drainage density, and population exposure. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and weighted overlay analysis were applied to derive flood risk indices and spatial risk zoning. The results classify the study area into very low, low, moderate, high, and very high flood risk zones. High-risk zones are primarily located in low-lying floodplains with dense settlements and poor drainage conditions. The findings are consistent with previous studies in Asia, Africa, and Europe, demonstrating the robustness of GIS-based multi-criteria approaches for flood risk assessment. This research contributes to the growing body of evidence that GIS-based flood risk mapping is an effective and scalable tool for supporting disaster mitigation, land-use planning, and policy formulation. The study recommends integrating GIS-based flood risk maps into regional planning frameworks to improve flood preparedness and resilience.

Abstract

Anti-Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation (SLAPP) is a provision that provides legal protection to the public who fight for public interests recognisedrecognised in legislation, usually in the environmental field; however, this study examines the projection of Anti-SLAPP for consumer protection. This research is normative legal research with a legislative, case, and conceptual approach, examining legal protection for consumers when submitting reviews on social media by highlighting the freedom of opinion guaranteed by legislation. The results of this study led to a balance of rights to information, and SLAPP was implemented for the benefit of all Indonesian people to foster meaningful participation in consumer protection. This study provides suggestions to Lawmakers on issuing regulations that specifically address Anti-SLAPP. These regulations are important to protect consumers from all threats, especially criminal entanglements, and as a guide for law enforcement officers in handling SLAPP cases in Indonesia. Lawmakers can issue regulations that, in revising the Consumer Protection Law, include anti-SLAPP provisions.

Abstract

The Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Awards is an appreciation program by PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk for projects that successfully implement occupational safety, health, and environmental protection standards. The current evaluation process is conducted manually using Microsoft Excel, which is inefficient, time-consuming, and prone to subjective bias, particularly when multiple projects achieve identical scores. This research aims to design and develop a web-based information system to support the evaluation and selection of HSE Awards winners. The Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) method was employed because of its effectiveness in handling multiple criteria and heterogeneous sub-criteria, thus ensuring fairer and more structured results. System development followed the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, which shortens planning, design, and implementation phases, while Laravel and MySQL were used as the core technologies. Testing results demonstrate that the system improves efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in the evaluation process. Consequently, the proposed system contributes to better decision-making and enhances the objectivity of HSE Awards implementation.

Abstract

PT XYZ, a company operating in the financial services sector, heavily relies on its colection information system to maintain smooth business operations. In line with the company's strategic plan to conduct a vendor migration for this system, a comprehensive risk analysis becomes crucial to ensure data security, regulatory compliance, and business continuity. This study aims to analyze the risks within PT XYZ's colection information system using a combined approach of the Operationally Critical Threat, Asset, and Vulnerability Evaluation (OCTAVE) and Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (FMEA) methods. The OCTAVE method was systematically applied to identify relevant critical assets, threats, and vulnerabilities. Subsequently, the FMEA method was implemented to quantitatively evaluate the identified risk scenarios to determine their priority levels. The study successfully identified a range of fundamental critical assets across data, system, and brainware categories, and formulated numerous associated risk scenarios. Through the FMEA assessment, these scenarios were classified by their priority level, with a portion identified as high-risk requiring immediate attention. For these high-priority risks, this research recommends actionable mitigation strategies based on controls from the ISO 27001:2022 standard. This study produces a measurable risk profile that serves as a strategic foundation for PT XYZ to effectively manage information security.

Abstract

Information security is a critical concern for Internet Service Provider companies due to their high dependency on information systems and customer data. PT XYZ has not yet conducted a formal information security risk analysis, despite its plan to prepare for ISO/IEC 27001 certification. This study aims to assess information security risks at PT XYZ using the ISO/IEC 27005:2018 framework and to formulate appropriate risk mitigation recommendations. This research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. Data were collected through literature studies, interviews, and direct observations of information assets, business processes, and existing security controls at PT XYZ. The risk analysis process includes context establishment, identification of critical assets based on confidentiality, integrity, and availability principles, identification of threats and vulnerabilities, risk analysis using likelihood and impact parameters, risk evaluation, and the development of risk treatment plans. The results indicate that out of 27 identified information assets, 24 assets are classified as critical. Several identified risks are categorized as high and very high, which may significantly affect the continuity of the company’s core services, including internet connectivity, web hosting, and Domain Name System services. Based on these findings, risk mitigation recommendations are proposed with reference to ISO/IEC 27002:2022 security controls. This study is expected to support PT XYZ in strengthening its information security posture and to serve as an initial step toward achieving ISO/IEC 27001 certification.

Abstract

Self-medication refers to the practice by which individuals use medicines obtained without a physician’s prescription to treat their symptoms or pain. However, errors in medication use remain common in self-medication practices; therefore, pharmacists play an important role in providing drug information. This study aimed to analyze the factors influencing the provision of drug information for self-medication by pharmacists. A cross-sectional study was conducted involving 100 pharmacists in Pekanbaru, Indonesia. Data were collected through participant observation and analyzed using t-tests and ANOVA. The analysis showed that the p-values for each candidate determinant were as follows: gender = 0.287, work experience = 0.014, secondary employment = 0.222, age = 0.022, education = 0.191, weekly working hours = 0.000, and daily working hours = 0.000. It can therefore be concluded that the determinants of pharmacists’ provision of drug information in self-medication are age, work experience, and working hours. Keywords: pharmacist; drug information provision; self-medication
