Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) has begun reshaping news broadcasting through AI-based news anchors that can deliver information efficiently and consistently, yet public acceptance, emotional connection, and accountability for potential errors remain open concerns. This study aimed to analyze users’ continuance intention to use AI news anchors for daily information needs through an Expectation Confirmation Theory, focusing on trust/acceptance, news-delivery quality, and perceived innovation. A quantitative cross-sectional survey was conducted among students aged 18–24 as digitally active users; data were collected via an online Likert-scale questionnaire (15 items across three aspects) and analyzed descriptively to summarize response patterns. The results indicate generally moderate-to-positive evaluations across all aspects: trust and acceptance showed an overall mean of 2.65, news-delivery quality 2.62, and innovation/technology 2.45. At the item level, respondents reported moderate comfort with AI-delivered news (M = 2.51) and moderate belief in accuracy/reliability (M = 2.54); delivery clarity was rated similarly (M = 2.54), while visual appeal showed a relatively stronger influence on viewing interest (M = 2.73). Respondents also expressed interest in AI-related technological advances (M = 2.52) and generally viewed AI news delivery as a positive media direction, while still noting that improvements are needed before AI can fully replace human presenters. These findings imply that media organizations and developers should prioritize more natural and emotionally engaging delivery, strengthen audio-visual realism, and address ethical/regulatory safeguards, concluding that AI news anchors are broadly acceptable to younger audiences but should be positioned as a complement to human presenters rather than a complete substitute.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the Employe Payroll Accounting Information System (AIS) at the Secretariat of the Regional People's Representative Council of Makassar City. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected thru observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews with key informants selected using the snowball sampling technique. Data analysis involved data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the findings was checked using source triangulation and method triangulation. The research results confirm that the Payroll Accounting Information System of the Makassar City Regional People's Representative Council is adequate thru the utilization of the SIMAKDA system (for employes) and SIPGAJIDEWA system (for council members). The findings show that both systems automatically generate 100% of the required documents, including the Payroll List, Tax Deduction Recapitulation, and Non-Tax Deposit Letter. The system's advantage lies in the integration of automation formats that ensure the accuracy of financial data and compliance with public sector tax regulations in real-time. This research only focuses on the functional and administrative analysis of the system at one location, so the generalization of the findings may be limited to agencies with similar bureaucratic characteristics and has not yet deeply evaluated the technical aspects of cybersecurity. This research provides an empirical foundation for the development of a public sector SIA model that can align heterogeneous administration (civil servants and state officials) into a transparent accountability framework.

Abstract

Introduction: The increasing demand for efficient, accurate, and integrated health services in primary care underscores the essential role of Health Information Systems (HIS) in Puskesmas. Despite national policies encouraging digital transformation, many Puskesmas still face challenges, including limited infrastructure, inadequate digital literacy among health workers, and fragmented system integration. This study aims to analyze the implementation of HIS in Puskesmas, assess its contribution to service efficiency, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors that influence system adoption. Methods: The study employs a qualitative case-study approach involving several Puskesmas that have implemented HIS. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with health workers and administrative staff, direct observations of HIS use in daily operations, and document analysis related to system policies and operational procedures. The qualitative data were analysed through thematic coding and triangulation across sources to ensure validity and reliability. Results: The findings reveal that HIS significantly supports faster patient data processing, improves the accuracy of medical records, and reduces administrative burdens. However, system effectiveness varies across facilities depending on infrastructure readiness, staff competency, and leadership support. Barriers such as insufficient training, inconsistent internet connectivity, and inadequate system maintenance hinder optimal utilisation. Conversely, strong managerial commitment, user-friendly system design, and continuous government support emerge as key enablers. Conclusion: This study concludes that the implementation of HIS has the potential to substantially enhance service efficiency in Puskesmas when supported by adequate resources and policy alignment. Recommendations include strengthening digital literacy training, improving infrastructure, ensuring continuous technical support, and developing adaptive policies to sustain long-term HIS utilization.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology demands that every organization have an information system that supports the management and execution of activities, including in the field of archiving. The Batam Center for Health Quarantine (BBKK) still uses a manual letter archiving system, which has the potential to hinder efficiency, reduce accuracy, and slow down the process of searching and managing archives. This manual process can cause difficulties in finding necessary documents, increase the risk of data loss, and hinder employee work effectiveness. Additionally, the manual system also makes it difficult to monitor letter status, categorize documents, and share information between work units in real-time and efficiently. This study aims to design and develop a web-based Letter Archiving Information System as a solution to the existing problems. By applying the Waterfall method in software development and using Unified Modeling Language (UML) modeling, this system is expected to improve accessibility, efficiency, and accuracy in the archiving process. Moreover, the system will be equipped with quick search features, letter status notifications, and role-based access control as predefined. The proposed system will facilitate the storage, retrieval, and maintenance of letter archives at BBKK Batam, thereby supporting the smooth administration and operational processes of the organization. With this system, it is expected that archive management will become more modern, structured, and integrated with the overall organizational needs.
