Abstract

The presence of development journalists is needed to criticize, study, evaluate, and report on the relevance of development projects. The press, as the fourth pillar of democracy, has a very crucial role in conveying criticism. The research aims to analyze the influence of society's information needs (X1), politics (X2), and government (X3) on the quality of development messages (Y1) and news (Y2). The research methodology uses a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanation strategy. The  research population covers  television news viewers and observers. The research sample consisted of 110 respondents who were viewers and observers of news broadcasts in mainstream media. The research results show: (1) there is a significant influence between the information need variable based on the community perspective (X1) on the quality of development messages (Y1); (2) there is no significant influence between the variable information needs based on the perspective of the business world (X2), politics (X3), and government (X4) on news quality (Y2), but there is an influence of public information needs (X1) on news quality (Y2). Based on information from press representative institutions, there was a decline in quality caused by: (1) complaints of violations from the Indonesian Broadcasting Institution; (2) less attractive news packaging; (4) social media competition; (5) in-depth news analysis; (6) intervention from stakeholders; (7) lack of cross-sectoral support; and (8) the small compensation received by journalists. In conclusion, information needs based on society's perspective do not influence the quality of development messages but do influence the quality of news.

Abstract

The dissemination of information or publications with clear messaging and appropriate media selection is crucial. This research evaluates the dissemination of information or publications and the choice of communication media by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy through their Instagram account @kemenparekraf.id, to ascertain its accessibility and comprehensibility across all sectors of society. To address this issue, the researcher employed the evaluative audit method using content analysis and readability study design. The selected audit method was Taylor's cloze test procedure.  Data collection involved distributing questionnaires based on the selected publication texts or captions related to the “Bangga Berwisata di Indonesia” (BBWI) with the hashtag #DiIndonesiaAja. Research respondents included both followers and non-followers of @kemenparekraf.id on Instagram, selected through accidental sampling technique, amounting to a sample size of 100 respondents. This study found that the average readability score for the first caption was 35%, indicating the text was difficult to understand, while the second caption scored 50%, indicating moderate to understand. These findings suggest that readability levels remain low and need improvement. Efforts are necessary from the communication bureau or content creators to prioritize audience diversity, choose language that is easily understandable by all societal segments, add content aligned with the promoted programs, enhance creativity in content posts, and begin fostering two-way communication to their audience.

Abstract

The successful implementation of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure (Keterbukaan Informasi Publik - KIP) fundamentally relies on the public's ability to easily access information. The Official Information and Documentation Management Officer (Pejabat Pengelola Informasi dan Dokumentasi - PPID) Website of Bojonegoro Regency serves as the primary gateway for this service. However, the conventional search system (exact match) previously implemented proved to be rigid, often failing to retrieve documents due to minor typing errors (typos), thereby diminishing service efficiency. This research aims to design and implement a Fuzzy Search mechanism utilizing the PostgreSQL Trigram extension to replace the old system and to quantitatively evaluate its effectiveness. The Waterfall model was employed as the system development methodology, with implementation focusing on the backend using the PHP framework and a PostgreSQL database. A comparative experiment was conducted, contrasting the proposed system's performance against the existing exact match system , measured using standard Information Retrieval (IR) metrics: Precision, Recall, and F-Measure. The findings demonstrate that the existing exact match system showed a 100% failure rate when faced with common typing errors, whereas the Fuzzy Search implementation significantly increased error tolerance. Through empirical comparison, a Similarity Threshold configuration of 0.2 for PostgreSQL Trigram was identified as the optimal setting for the PPID Bojonegoro dataset. This value yielded the highest F-Measure score of 88.5%, reflecting the best balance between Recall (89%) and Precision (88%). Furthermore, the application of a GIN Index on PostgreSQL dramatically optimized performance, accelerating the search process by up to 40 times compared to the unindexed method. The proposed system successfully addresses the weakness against typos and ensures fast, inclusive public access to information, which is a key requirement under the KIP Law.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged public institutions to utilize web based systems as effective communication and publication media; however, the Civil Service Police Unit (SATPOL PP), particularly the Division of Regional and Gubernatorial Regulation Enforcement, still relied on conventional promotional tools that limited information accessibility and transparency. This study aims to design and implement a company profile website as an institutional information medium to enhance public access to organizational data and activities. The research employed observation, interviews, and literature review to collect system requirements, followed by system design and development using web technologies including PHP, MySQL, and HTML. The implemented system provides structured information regarding institutional profiles, organizational structure, duties and functions, vision and mission, news updates, and contact details, supported by an administrative interface for data management. The results demonstrate that the website functions as an effective and efficient information platform that is widely accessible via the internet, improves transparency, and optimizes information dissemination. Moreover, the system contributes to operational cost efficiency by reducing dependence on printed media such as brochures and pamphlets. In conclusion, the implementation of the company profile website supports institutional performance by delivering information in a more modern, accessible, and sustainable manner.

Abstract

Accounting Information Systems (AIS) play an important role in reducing the risk of poor decision-making and promoting efficient managerial performance through the provision of reliable, relevant, timely, complete, and understandable data. One AIS widely used is the ICSO accounting software developed by PT XYZ to support accounting needs ranging from general to detailed levels. However, in several organizations, problems are still found in the form of mismatches between the system and task requirements as well as low user satisfaction, raising the question of whether ICSO truly improves financial management efficiency or merely serves as an information tool. This study integrates the Task–Technology Fit (TTF) approach and the Information System Success Model (ISSM) into a single model with several hypotheses testing the effects of task characteristics, technology characteristics, system quality, information quality, and service quality on task–technology fit, user satisfaction, and the efficiency of financial reporting performance. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to ICSO users and analyzed using SEM–PLS with SmartPLS 4. The results show that Task Characteristics and Technology Characteristics have a significant effect on TTF; TTF and Information Quality have a significant effect on User Satisfaction; while System Quality and Service Quality are not significant. User Satisfaction has a strong effect on Financial Reporting Performance Efficiency and mediates the effects of TTF and Information Quality on efficiency. These findings indicate that ICSO truly provides added value when its technological functions are aligned with task requirements, produce high-quality information, and generate user satisfaction. Keywords: Accounting Information Systems, User Satisfaction, Financial Reporting Efficiency, Task–Technology Fit, Information System Success Model, ICSO.

Abstract

This research explores the impact of digital transformation on Accounting Information Systems (AIS) with a specific focus on improving data accessibility in the modern financial environment. The rapid advancement of digital technologies has encouraged organizations to adopt more sophisticated and integrated accounting systems to support faster and more transparent financial reporting. By utilizing a systematic literature mapping approach, this study analyzes 27 peer-reviewed articles published between 2021 and 2026 in order to synthesize current technological developments, implementation strategies, and structural challenges related to the digitalization of accounting systems. The findings reveal that the integration of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and blockchain plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency, reliability, and accessibility of financial data. These technologies enable real-time financial transparency, improve operational intelligence, and strengthen internal control mechanisms within organizations. Furthermore, the study shows that digital technologies can significantly accelerate the distribution of accounting information and potentially reduce fraud risks by up to 85 percent. However, the effectiveness of these technologies is not determined solely by technical capabilities. Non-technical factors, including organizational culture, digital readiness, employee competence, and the presence of technical debt, strongly influence the success of AIS implementation. Therefore, achieving optimal data accessibility requires a balanced synergy between advanced technological infrastructure and a proactive digital mindset within the workforce. These findings highlight the importance of modernizing accounting education curricula to address the growing digital skills gap and support sustainable digital maturity in the accounting profession.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology offers significant opportunities for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) to enhance business management through the adoption of structured Accounting Information Systems (AIS). However, many MSEs continue to face challenges in preparing financial statements that comply with the Financial Accounting Standards for Micro, Small, and Medium Entities (SAK EMKM). This community assistance initiative aims to support a bakery-sector MSE in implementing a SAK EMKM-based AIS to improve financial transparency, accountability, and reporting accuracy. The assistance was delivered through field observations, interviews, and hands-on training sessions with the business owner and employees focusing on the accounting cycle and recording techniques. The results indicate that the adoption of a more structured accounting system enabled the MSE to prepare monthly income statements, equity reports, and statements of financial position more systematically. The program also enhanced the entrepreneur’s financial literacy and supported more informed decision-making. These findings demonstrate that implementing a SAK EMKM-based AIS is effective in strengthening financial governance and promoting business sustainability for MSEs.

Abstract

Effective pharmacy management is essential in ensuring drug availability in health facilities. This study aims to analyze the pharmaceutical management system in Garut Regency, focusing on aspects of recording, infrastructure, readiness of health workers, and local government policies. The research method used was a qualitative approach with interview and observation techniques in several health facilities. The results showed that many health facilities still use a manual recording system, which risks causing errors and delays in drug procurement. In addition, limited infrastructure and the readiness of health workers in adopting pharmaceutical information systems are the main obstacles in digitizing pharmaceutical management. In terms of policy, the absence of strong regulations and limited budget hamper the optimal implementation of digital systems. Therefore, it is necessary to improve infrastructure, train health workers, and support clearer policies to encourage the digitalization of the pharmaceutical system in Garut Regency.
