Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Management Information Systems (MIS) on employee performance within an organization. The research method used is a quantitative approach with an associative research type. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to employees using a Likert scale, then analyzed using simple linear regression with the help of SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that MIS has a positive and significant influence on employee performance. This is indicated by a significance value smaller than 0.05 and a positive regression coefficient. In addition, the coefficient of determination indicates that MIS makes a significant contribution in explaining variations in employee performance. Effective MIS implementation has been proven to improve work efficiency, information accuracy, and employee productivity. Therefore, organizations are advised to continue optimizing the use of MIS through improving system quality, user training, and ongoing managerial support to achieve optimal performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Management Information Systems (MIS) in supporting strategic decision-making in organizations. The research approach used was quantitative with a descriptive and explanatory design. Data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to respondents involved in the decision-making process, using a Likert scale. Data analysis techniques were conducted through validity and reliability tests, as well as simple linear regression analysis using SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that the Management Information System has a positive and significant influence on strategic decision-making. This is indicated by the regression coefficient value of 0.65 with a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05). Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.42 indicates that the MIS contributes 42% to improving the quality of strategic decisions. MIS plays a role in providing accurate, relevant, and timely information, thus assisting management in formulating effective and adaptive strategies. In conclusion, optimizing the implementation of Management Information Systems can improve the quality of strategic decision-making and provide organizations with a competitive advantage in the digital age. Therefore, organizations are advised to continue developing and maximizing their MIS utilization to support better decision-making processes.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Management Information Systems (MIS) adoption on digital transformation in companies. Digital transformation is a critical requirement for organizations facing global competition and rapid technological developments. In this context, MIS plays a key enabler, supporting data integration, operational efficiency, and informed decision-making. This study employed a quantitative approach with explanatory methods. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents consisting of managers, IT staff, and MIS-using employees. Data analysis used simple linear regression with the aid of SPSS software. The results of the study indicate that MIS adoption has a positive and significant impact on digital transformation. A regression coefficient of 0.65 and a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05) indicate that increased MIS adoption significantly enhances digital transformation. Furthermore, the coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.58 indicates that 58% of digital transformation is influenced by MIS adoption, while the remainder is influenced by other factors such as organizational culture, leadership, and human resource readiness. In conclusion, the adoption of a Management Information System (MIS) is a crucial factor in driving the success of digital transformation in companies. Therefore, companies need to optimize MIS implementation and support it with an appropriate change management strategy to ensure effective and sustainable digital transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the quality of Management Information Systems (MIS) on user satisfaction using the SERVQUAL method. The research approach used is quantitative with a survey method through the distribution of questionnaires to active system users. The research instrument measures two main aspects, namely user expectations and perceptions of the five SERVQUAL dimensions: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. Data were analyzed using the gap analysis method to determine the gap between user expectations and perceptions. The results showed that all dimensions had a negative gap value with an average of -0.45, indicating that the quality of SIM services has not fully met user expectations. The responsiveness and reliability dimensions had the largest gap, indicating the need for improvements in service speed and system reliability. Meanwhile, the assurance dimension had the smallest gap, indicating a relatively good level of user trust in the system. In conclusion, the quality of Management Information Systems still needs improvement, particularly in terms of responsiveness and reliability. This research is expected to serve as a foundation for organizations to continuously improve and develop systems to enhance user satisfaction and overall organizational performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Management Information Systems (MIS) on the effectiveness of decision-making in modern organizations. The approach used is quantitative with an explanatory research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents, consisting of employees and managers who utilize Management Information Systems in their work activities. The data analysis technique employed is linear regression to examine the relationship between variables. The results show that Management Information Systems have a positive and significant effect on decision-making effectiveness, with a coefficient value of 0.65 and a significance level of 0.000. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.58 indicates that MIS explains 58% of the variation in decision-making effectiveness. This suggests that system quality, information quality, and ease of use play important roles in improving the speed, accuracy, and relevance of decisions. In conclusion, Management Information Systems have a strategic role in supporting effective decision-making in modern organizations. Therefore, organizations are advised to optimize the implementation of MIS and enhance human resource competencies to maximize the benefits of the system used.

Abstract

Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran, Penyelamatan, dan Penanggulangan Bencana (DPKPDPB) Kota Lubuklinggau Utara 2 merupakan institusi vital yang memerlukan kedisiplinan personel tinggi untuk menjamin responsivitas layanan darurat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tata kelola sistem informasi absensi pada instansi tersebut guna memastikan efektivitas, akurasi data, dan dukungan terhadap disiplin pegawai. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan menggunakan kerangka kerja COBIT 5, memfokuskan pada lima sub-domain utama: EDM03 (Ensure Risk Optimisation), APO12 (Manage Risk), EDM05 (Ensure Stakeholder Transparency), DSS05 (Manage Security Services), dan DSS06 (Manage Business Process Controls). Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi observasi langsung, wawancara, dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada responden dari pihak manajemen dan karyawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata tingkat kematangan (maturity level) sistem informasi absensi berada pada angka 4,01. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa tata kelola sistem saat ini berada pada Level 4 (Managed Process), di mana proses pengelolaan telah terukur, terkendali, dan berjalan secara konsisten

Abstract

The limited availability of integrated digital tourism information in Blitar Raya has made it challenging for visitors to plan their travel routes efficiently. This research aims to develop an Android-based Geographic Information System (GIS) that integrates the Google Maps API with the Bellman-Ford algorithm to optimize the shortest travel routes among tourism destinations. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, emphasizing user involvement through iterative prototyping and feedback. Primary data were collected from field observations, semi-structured interviews with tourists and local administrators, and beta testing involving 52 respondents, while secondary data were obtained from the Blitar Tourism Board and BPS statistical databases. The implementation integrates the Google Distance Matrix API to construct a weighted graph, which is processed by the Bellman-Ford algorithm, demonstrating higher route stability and accuracy than the Dijkstra and Haversine approaches in small-to-medium graph structures. The system achieved an 84.46% user acceptance rate, categorized as “Excellent” according to the ISO/IEC 25010 usability standard. Empirical findings show that the average response time of 1.5–2.5 seconds indicates high computational efficiency for real-time map rendering. This study contributes theoretically by presenting an algorithmic integration framework for mobile GIS applications and practically by offering a functional digital tourism platform to enhance local tourism management. The findings also suggest that combining RAD with algorithmic optimization can effectively bridge the gap between user experience and computational performance in tourism-based GIS systems.

Abstract

Manajemen arsip dokumen pajak daerah memegang peranan penting dalam mendukung administrasi dan pelayanan publik di Badan Pendapatan Daerah (Bapenda). Sistem pengarsipan manual yang masih digunakan menimbulkan berbagai permasalahan, seperti risiko kehilangan dokumen, kerusakan arsip fisik, serta keterlambatan dalam proses pencarian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sistem informasi arsip dokumen pajak daerah berbasis web pada Bapenda Kabupaten Karimun. Pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus diterapkan, sementara pengembangan sistem menggunakan model Waterfall yang meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Sistem yang dirancang menyediakan fitur manajemen pengguna berbasis peran (admin, petugas pajak, dan kasubbid), pengelolaan dan pencarian arsip, serta pengamanan data melalui mekanisme autentikasi dan otorisasi. Hasil pengujian menggunakan metode black box testing terhadap delapan skenario menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fungsi utama sistem berjalan sesuai dengan spesifikasi yang telah ditetapkan. Sistem mampu mengelola proses unggah, pencarian, pengunduhan, dan manajemen pengguna sesuai kebutuhan operasional Bapenda Kabupaten Karimun.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi telah mendorong transformasi digital pada berbagai sektor usaha, termasuk usaha mikro dan menengah. Pengelolaan persediaan barang yang tidak didukung sistem informasi yang baik berpotensi menimbulkan kesalahan pencatatan, keterlambatan pelaporan, serta ketidaksesuaian data yang berdampak pada pengambilan keputusan manajerial. Toserba Indah Kendal sebagai usaha dagang masih menerapkan pencatatan persediaan dan laporan keuangan secara manual menggunakan buku tulis, sehingga sering terjadi selisih antara data pembelian dan penjualan. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem informasi akuntansi persediaan barang dagang berbasis web guna meningkatkan efektivitas dan akurasi pengelolaan persediaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan sistem Waterfall yang meliputi analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, dan pengujian. Sistem dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan basis data MySQL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mengintegrasikan data barang, pembelian, penjualan, serta laporan persediaan secara otomatis dan real-time. Implementasi sistem ini terbukti meningkatkan kecepatan pengolahan data, meminimalkan kesalahan pencatatan, serta menghasilkan laporan persediaan yang lebih akurat dan terstruktur. Dengan demikian, sistem informasi akuntansi persediaan berbasis web dapat menjadi solusi efektif bagi Toserba Indah Kendal dalam mendukung pengambilan keputusan manajerial.

Abstract

Introduction: Stunting is a chronic health problem characterized by a child's height being lower than their age standard, often caused by poor nutritional intake and recurrent infections. This research focuses on stunting prevention through Communication, Information, and Education (KIE) with a community empowerment approach. Research Methodology: This type of research is observational analytics with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample consisted of mothers under five who met the inclusion criteria. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews and then analyzed using the Wilcoxon statistical test. The intervention was carried out by providing education through digital-based KIE media, developed using the Borg & Gall model. Result: The analysis showed a significant improvement in the knowledge and attitude of mothers under five after the intervention. Before the intervention, 74% of mothers had low knowledge about stunting, but after the intervention, this figure dropped to 2%, with 98% of mothers having good knowledge. The mother's attitude also increased from 2% good to 96% good after the intervention. The results of the Wilcoxon test showed a p-value of 0.001 for knowledge and 0.005 for attitude, showing a significant influence of KIE media on stunting prevention. Conclusion: The provision of digital-based KIE with a community empowerment approach has proven to be effective in increasing the knowledge and attitude of mothers under five towards stunting prevention. Implementing KIE is expected to be a sustainable strategy to support the national program in reducing stunting rates. Further research is suggested to compare the effectiveness between the intervention and control groups.
