Abstract

The sales activity of building materials plays a crucial role in the process of constructing houses and other infrastructure. However, in several building material supply stores, the sales mechanism is still carried out manually, requiring customers to visit the store in person to complete the purchase transaction (Rijal et al., 2024). Advances in science and technology have had an impact on company activities, particularly in data processing into information (Imannudin Akbar et al., 2023). To monitor sales activities, a good information system is needed to keep up with the rapidly growing business, especially due to the increasing number and value of transactions. This study analyzes and designs a sales application to facilitate transaction services. Primary data is obtained through observation of the existing system. Secondary data is analyzed through interviews with users and document review used in the transaction process. Secondary data, on the other hand, is obtained from literature studies and other sources, such as the internet. The system analysis and design are carried out with an object-oriented approach through UML (Unified Modeling Language) and structured database analysis. The expected outcome of this research is an application developed using the Java programming language with MySQL database support, which is expected to improve service efficiency in the sales process (Nistrina & Sahidah, 2022).

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to analyze the role of Academic Information Systems (AIS) in supporting learning effectiveness through student academic management in higher education. The research employed a quantitative survey design involving 85 respondents consisting of students, lecturers, and administrative staff at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Pattimura. Data were collected using a questionnaire based on the End-User Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) model and supported by interviews. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and correlation techniques. The results indicate that AIS contributes positively to learning effectiveness by facilitating access to academic information, improving transparency of grades, and supporting monitoring of student progress. However, several constraints were identified, including limited system integration, delays in data updates, and variations in operator competence, which affect the quality of learning support. Approximately 58% of users reported difficulties in accessing certain system features, particularly during peak academic periods. These findings suggest that while AIS has improved academic service efficiency and supports learning processes, optimization of system performance and user competence is still required to enhance its effectiveness in higher education.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology and science has increased the need for interdisciplinary collaboration, including the contribution of linguistics. Linguistic knowledge is no longer limited to the study of language but has become an essential foundation for developing various digital technologies, particularly those related to human-computer interaction and language processing. This study aims to examine the role of linguistics in supporting the advancement of information technology and science. The research employed a qualitative approach using a literature review method by analyzing relevant books, journal articles, and scientific publications. The collected data were analyzed descriptively to identify the contribution of linguistic concepts to technological innovation and scientific development. The findings reveal that linguistics plays a significant role in the development of Natural Language Processing (NLP), machine translation, speech recognition, virtual assistants, sentiment analysis, and other artificial intelligence applications. In addition, linguistics contributes to improving scientific communication by enhancing the clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness of knowledge dissemination across disciplines. The study concludes that linguistics has become an important interdisciplinary field that supports technological innovation and scientific progress, making collaboration between linguistics, information technology, and science increasingly necessary in the digital era

Abstract

Developments in the fashion industry are driving businesses to leverage digital technology to improve sales effectiveness and the customer experience. This study aims to design a prototype of a website-based sales information system for the Unformal brand, integrating the Midtrans payment gateway and product customization features. The study employed a qualitative descriptive approach through observation, documentation, and the distribution of questionnaires to 41 respondents as the basis for system requirements analysis. The website prototype was designed using Figma based on the results of STP and SWOT analyses. The results showed that 51% of respondents were interested in using the product customization feature, 63% believed that digital payment integration simplifies transactions, and 78% were interested in promotional programs. The resulting prototype includes the Register, Login, Home, Shop, Custom, Checkout, and Payment pages. This system design is expected to serve as a reference for developing a more integrated sales website and supporting the digitization of business processes for the Unformal brand.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to identify the effects of internet financial reporting, website information disclosure level, shares outstanding, and stock prices on the stock trading frequency of LQ45 companies.     Design/methodology/approach – This explanatory quantitative research uses purposive sampling, selecting 24 LQ45 companies as the sample. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to test the proposed hypotheses.   Findings – The results show that internet financial reporting, website information disclosure level, and stock prices do not have a significant effect on stock trading frequency. In contrast, shares outstanding have a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, all variables collectively have a significant effect on stock trading frequency.   Originality/value – This study contributes to capital market literature by examining how digital financial disclosure and market-related factors influence trading activity in Indonesia’s LQ45 index companies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of accounting information system digitalization (X₁) and financial reporting (X₂) on the quality of MSMEs’ financial reports (Y) in South Jakarta, with digital literacy (Z) serving as a moderating variable. MSMEs in Indonesia continue to face challenges related to the quality of financial records and the limited utilization of digital technologies, which may hinder the production of reliable financial reports. This study employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving MSME owners and managers in South Jakarta. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 3 software. The findings reveal that accounting information system digitalization has a positive but statistically insignificant effect on the quality of MSMEs’ financial reports. Similarly, financial reporting does not significantly influence financial report quality. Furthermore, digital literacy is not found to moderate the relationships between accounting information system digitalization, financial reporting, and the quality of financial reports. These findings suggest that digital transformation among MSMEs in South Jakarta remains at an early stage of adoption and that the effectiveness of financial digitalization depends not only on the availability of technology but also on accounting competencies, organizational readiness, internal control mechanisms, and the integration of digital systems into business processes. In addition, the study highlights the need for refining measurement instruments and expanding future research by incorporating additional determinants of financial reporting quality. This study contributes to the growing body of literature on MSME accounting and digital transformation while providing practical implications for policymakers in designing more effective digital empowerment strategies for MSMEs.

Abstract

Manual data management in rural areas hampers disaster preparedness and policy-making. This study developed and evaluated a web-based Information System for Barangay Development Planning to enable data-driven governance in Barangay Maulong, Catbalogan City, Philippines—a disaster-prone area. Utilizing the Waterfall SDLC model, the system was built using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Software quality evaluation using ISO/IEC 9126 standards demonstrated high user satisfaction across functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability, achieving an overall rating of 4.8. This system successfully enhances transparency, data accessibility, and participatory local governance. Adopting similar systems in other barangays is highly recommended to strengthen regional disaster resilience and local administration

Abstract

Information technology (IT) and knowledge management (KM) are critical to evidence-based medicine (EBM). This scoping review synthesizes evidence from 17 selected articles out of 2,063 retrieved across ScienceDirect, Scopus, PubMed, and Web of Science databases to evaluate how IT and KM enhance EBM. The findings reveal two primary research streams indicating that IT and KM significantly improve patient outcomes, organizational performance, and healthcare worker job satisfaction. However, most healthcare IT projects remain program-specific, focusing heavily on disease monitoring rather than fostering collaboration and KM. Furthermore, literature lacks insight into how information system design affects healthcare delivery, and comprehensive frameworks for evaluating KM practices remain scarce.

Abstract

Digital transformation intensifies the strategic role of information technology (IT) governance in maintaining operational performance and competitive advantage. PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN), a state-owned energy company, faces challenges in aligning IT investments with business priorities while managing escalating technological risks. This study integrates the COBIT 2019 framework with a value-risk prioritization approach using the McFarlan Strategic Grid to develop a structured improvement roadmap. A qualitative descriptive case study was conducted through observation, capability assessments, interviews, and literature reviews. Evaluation of fifteen priority COBIT processes yielded an average capability score of 3.67, reflecting a Defined/Established maturity level. The McFarlan analysis classified 28 consolidated initiatives into four priority clusters. The resulting roadmap supports strategic alignment, risk-sequenced execution, and executive decision-making.

Abstract

Rapid IT utilization at PT Kawasan Industri Terpadu Batang (KITB) increases cybersecurity risks and compliance demands, requiring structured governance. This study analyzes existing conditions, identifies gaps, and develops an information security governance model using the COBIT 2019 framework. The method involves Design Factor assessments and organizational needs analysis, prioritizing four objectives: EDM03, APO12, APO13, and DSS05. Data gathered via interviews, questionnaires, and document studies evaluated as-is capabilities against to-be targets. Results indicate current capabilities are at Level 3 (Largely Achieved), leaving a one-level gap from the Level 4 target. Consequently, a strategic roadmap focusing on governance, risk management, and security operations was developed to enhance cyber resilience, industrial estate stability, and regulatory compliance.
