Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia has increased the importance of personal data protection and information security in building consumer confidence. This study analyzes the effects of Privacy Protection Mechanisms and Information Security Policies on User Trust in e-commerce platforms in Indonesia. A quantitative research approach was employed using a cross-sectional survey involving 150 respondents who had experience using e-commerce platforms. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire measured using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling with SmartPLS 3. The measurement model demonstrated satisfactory reliability and validity. The structural model showed that Privacy Protection Mechanisms had a positive and significant effect on User Trust, while Information Security Policies also had a positive and significant effect on User Trust. The model explained 61.7% of the variance in User Trust, with an R² value of 0.617 and a Q² value of 0.428, indicating satisfactory explanatory and predictive relevance. Information Security Policies emerged as the strongest predictor of User Trust. These findings confirm that both privacy governance and information security management are essential for strengthening consumer confidence in e-commerce platforms. E-commerce providers should therefore improve privacy transparency, user control, authentication, transaction security, fraud prevention, and incident response mechanisms to support sustainable digital trust.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Credibility (X1), Information Quality (X2), and Content Quality (X3) in TikTok affiliate marketing content on Generation Z's Purchase Decision (Y). The research is motivated by a gap between theoretical expectations and actual consumer behavior, where consumers make purchases despite perceiving the affiliate's message quality as low. Using a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design, data was collected via online questionnaires from 150 Gen Z respondents in DKI Jakarta. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, requiring respondents to have viewed affiliate content and purchased via TikTok Shop. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression via SPSS. The results reveal that Credibility has a positive but insignificant effect on Purchase Decision (H1 rejected). Conversely, Information Quality and Content Quality have a positive and significant effect, with Content Quality being the most dominant factor. Simultaneously, these variables explain 73.8% of the purchase decision variance (Adjusted R² = 0.738). These findings indicate that Gen Z's purchase decisions are driven more by product information clarity and attractive content packaging than mere trust in the affiliate's honesty. Consequently, brands and affiliates must prioritize investing in information and content quality for TikTok affiliate marketing strategies.

Abstract

Financial ratio analysis serves as a vital tool for assessing organizational performance and supporting decision-making processes. This study developed an accounting information system featuring financial ratio prediction capabilities powered by the Holt-Winters Exponential Smoothing algorithm—a method capable of handling time-series data characterized by trends and seasonality. Functional testing demonstrated that the system operates according to design, achieving a 94% success rate. Prediction results varied in accuracy: the current ratio achieved a Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 8.3%, indicating a favorable prediction outcome. Conversely, the Return on Investment (ROI), Return on Equity (ROE), and debt-to-equity ratios yielded MAPE values exceeding 20%, signaling a need for improved accuracy. These findings suggest that the system can serve as a relevant analytical tool for financial management; however, further development is required, particularly regarding algorithm parameter optimization and the provision of higher-quality data.

Abstract

Background: The massive availability of health information presents a significant risk of medical misinformation. Although previous studies have examined general information-seeking behaviour, limited attention has been given to how health vocational students adapt established information-seeking models under academic and clinical pressures. Purpose: This study aims to map, explore, and reconstruct the information-seeking behaviour of health vocational students using David Ellis’s Information Seeking Behaviour Model, integrated with Risk Awareness and Evidence-Based Practice (EBP). Methods: This qualitative descriptive study employed a case study design involving seven final-year Diploma III students representing seven study programmes at Poltekkes Kemenkes Medan. Participants were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews supported by non-participant observation for methodological triangulation and analysed using an interactive model of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. Results: Students demonstrated pragmatic information-seeking tendencies by prioritising efficiency during the starting, chaining, browsing, and extracting stages while consistently omitting the monitoring stage. However, during verification, they applied rigorous data triangulation by comparing clinical information with authoritative guidelines from the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization. When information was considered invalid, students returned to the browsing stage, demonstrating a non-linear feedback pattern. Conclusion: The findings indicate that health vocational students reconstruct Ellis’s traditional model through a dynamic pattern termed Pragmatic Adaptation. This pattern reflects Risk Awareness Information Behaviour (RAIB), in which students balance search efficiency with rigorous verification to support evidence-based practice and reduce the risk of misinformation.

Abstract

The increasing use of digital technology among university students is not always accompanied by adequate levels of information security awareness, especially in Eastern Indonesia, which has its own characteristics and challenges regarding facilities and digital literacy. This study aims to assess students’ information security awareness using an adapted HAIS-Q and to provide a soft computing-oriented interpretation for mapping intervention priorities. A quantitative survey was conducted involving students from Universitas Amal Ilmiah Yapis Wamena. The instrument measured three awareness dimensions, namely knowledge, attitude, and behaviour, across five focus areas. The results show that students’ information security awareness is generally in the good category, with attitude obtaining the highest score of 81.44, followed by knowledge at 80.10, and behaviour at 75.04. At the focus area level, mobile device security achieved the highest mean score, while email security obtained the lowest. The distribution of awareness levels shows that 60% of respondents were in the good category, 33% in the average category, and 7% in the poor category. From a soft computing perspective, these results can be interpreted as input indicators for mapping intervention priorities, particularly by identifying behaviour-related weaknesses, vulnerable awareness groups, and specific security domains requiring improvement.

Abstract

Modeling and analysis of building structures using the BIM (Building Information Modeling) Method is a concept in planning and implementation that is still rarely applied, this raises several questions such as how to apply the BIM Concept or what are the advantages and disadvantages of the BIM Method, things like this are the background why it is necessary to further review how to apply the BIM Method in a building construction planning. The application of the BIM Method needs to refer to the standard rules that apply in Indonesia, namely as well as supporting literature in terms of concepts and theories, standard rules in multi- storey building planning in Indonesia are regulated by SNI 1726, SNI 1727, and SNI 2847 where each part of this rule must be fulfilled in the planning part of a multi-storey building. The BIM method itself needs to be supported by software tools that are integrated with each other, for example Autodesk Revit for 3-dimensional modeling and Robot Structural Analysis Professional for conducting structural analysis in multi-storey building planning, the application of the BIM method at the planning stage produces 2dimensional, 3-dimensional modeling, element detailing and structural analysis.

Abstract

Background: The 2024 Indonesian Presidential Election debate, broadcasted by several TV stations appointed by KPU, included a sign-language interpreter (Juru Bahasa Isyarat, JBI) box on screen. Yet, Deaf advocacy organization, Gerkatin, identified recurring accessibility flaws in the first broadcast. They matter because Article 28F of the 1945 Constitution guarantees every citizen the right to seek and obtain information, including the Deaf. Purpose: This research examines how Indonesia’s broadcasting and disability legislation addressed information accessibility for Deaf voters and asks why regulatory framework derived from existing legislation produced an inaccessible broadcast. Methods: A qualitative case study design triangulated three sources: (1) legislative document analysis of Act 32/2002 on Broadcasting, Act 19/2011 ratifying the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD), Act 8/2016 on Persons with Disabilities, and regulative document analysis of KPI’s Broadcasting Code of Conduct and Broadcast Program Standards (P3SPS), and Dewan Pers’ Guidelines for Disability Friendly Reporting; (2) semi-structured interviews with three informants from KPI, Dewan Pers, and Bawaslu; and (3) documentary evidence of Deaf voters’ experience drawn from Gerkatin’s formal complaint and Debate Broadcast archives from YouTube. Results: Indonesia’s existing legislation acknowledges Deaf persons’ rights of information accessibility, yet P3 SPS and Guidelines for Disability-Inclusive Reporting did not translate legislation’s mandate into enforceable broadcast specifications. Interview data further indicate that regulators had engaged only with JBI associations, not with organizations of Deaf persons such as Gerkatin, in developing broadcasting practice. Conclusion: Indonesia’s existing legislation acknowledges Deaf persons’ right to information accessibility in principle but existing regulation frameworks have not translated that recognition into enforceable technical standards for information accessibility in broadcasting. Implications: Closing this gap requires measurable standards for JBI visibility and multiplicity, mandatory subtitling for high-stakes information broadcasts, and a formal collaboration with Deaf organizations.

Abstract

Social media are being used more and more by the general public as a means of disseminating information between people. The outbreak of the coronas virus disease mobilized researchers in a variety of disciplines, as well as the governments of the countries affected by the pandemic. The digital media have played an important role not only in disseminating information, but also in communicating about the contamination, the spread and the preventive measures against this pandemic. This study, based on social science research methods and techniques, shows that social media have played an important role in disseminating information about the pandemic. The supply and demand for information took on a dizzying pace, helping to warn people about this new disease. Social media have helped to spread information about the corona virus as quickly as possible, but they have also enabled people to learn about the disease, the risks involved and how to prevent it, all of which is helping national governments with their public health programs.
