Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a highly critical vulnerability to natural disasters due to its geographical location andthe impacts of climate change. The involvement of non-state actors, such as Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), is crucial in driving responsive public policies through the articulation of Fiqh Bencana (Disaster Jurisprudence). This studyaims to analyze how NU’s theological vision on disasters is constructed and transformed into substantial political advocacy strategies, using a case study of the disaster management movement in North Sumatra in late 2025.Employing a qualitative method with in-depth interviews involving key figures from LBM-NU, LPBI-NU, Muslimat NU, GP Ansor, and the beneficiaries, this study finds that NU has successfully bridged "heavenly language" (theological ethics) and "bureaucratic language" (technocratic management) through a Civil Islam approach. The results indicate a synergistic division of roles among LBM-NU as the provider of macro-microlegal legitimacy, LPBI-NU as the tactical-institutional translator, Muslimat NU as the guardian of gender inclusivity, and GP Ansor (Bagana) as the field executors. The NU Peduli (NU Cares) movement during the disasters in late 2025 in North Sumatra serves as empirical evidence of this collaboration's effectiveness indismantling cultural fatalism and filling the gaps in the government's technocratic hegemony.

Abstract

Drone flight activity and inventory recording in uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) service providers is still dominated by manual methods and separate local systems. This condition risks recording errors and hinders operational data integration and access. This study aims to develop a SaaS-based multi-tenant information system for drone activity and inventory recording. This type of research is Research and Development with a Rapid Application Development (RAD) design. The research subjects included one drone company owner to inform the formulation of system requirements, while the researcher conducted trials independently using an access load simulation. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature reviews, with Apache JMeter as the testing tool and the stress testing method. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and qualitatively. The results of the study show the system is stable at low to medium loads and remains functional at high loads despite performance degradation. The study's conclusions indicate that the system can replace manual recording in web-based drone operational management. This study provides an overview of the application of a multi-tenant SaaS architecture to support centralized drone flight and inventory data management, while ensuring security and data isolation between organizations.

Abstract

The Academic Information System (SIAKAD), as the primary digital service in higher education, has not fully met user expectations regarding ease of use, information quality, and service security. This study aims to analyze the suboptimal service quality of the SIAKAD website resulting from a gap between user expectations and system performance. The method used is a quantitative survey. The population in this study comprised all users of the Academic Information System (SIAKAD), including students, lecturers, and administrative staff. The sampling technique was carried out in two stages: purposive sampling and accidental sampling. The number of respondents in this study was 65 for the WebQual 4.0 and IPA analyses, and 20 for usability testing. Data collection methods in this study were closed questionnaires, interviews, observations, and usability testing. The research instrument used a questionnaire. The analysis assessed the dimensions of usability, information quality, and service interaction quality and mapped the level of importance and performance to determine improvement priorities. The results showed that all aspects of SIAKAD were highly important, but the actual quality fell short of user expectations. The system performed well in display clarity, information relevance, and academic communication, but was less than optimal in information updates, data security, and user experience. IPA prioritizes user experience, information accuracy, data security, and communication effectiveness for improvement. Usability testing showed that the system effectively supports academic functions but remains inefficient and not yet fully satisfying to users.

Abstract

This study examines how temporal compression in short-form TikTok videos shapes a culture of speed in the information consumption practices of Indonesian youth. The study employed an interpretive qualitative approach with a digital ethnographic orientation. This study collected data by analyzing 25 TikTok videos, conducting semi-structured interviews with 25 users aged 18–24, and examining seven-day digital-use diaries. The study analyzed the data through reflexive thematic analysis and qualitative content analysis. The findings show that temporal compression operates through pause removal and subtitle use (96% each), split-screen presentation (84%), rapid visual changes and high information density (68% each), and accelerated audio or video (56%). At the level of user experience, 80% of participants reported at least one form of temporal immersion, while 76% expected information to be delivered quickly and directly. The participants also demonstrated three patterns of information consumption: TikTok-only (36%), TikTok-first (28%), and cross-platform verification (36%). These findings highlight the need for digital literacy that also develops awareness of information rhythm, depth, and verification. The study’s originality lies in the concept of platformized temporal compression, which extends Social Acceleration by explaining the relationship among content compression, platform acceleration, users’ temporal adaptation, and the transformation of information practices.

Abstract

In faith-based residential institutions such as Islamic Boarding Schools, conventional manual attendance tracking frequently creates administrative latency, unmonitored absenteeism, and acute information asymmetries between school authorities and families. This study evaluates the operational implementation, socio-behavioral outcomes, and relational transformations catalyzed by an automated Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and WhatsApp Gateway attendance information system in an Indonesian. Employing an explanatory sequential mixed-methods case study design, quantitative telemetry and longitudinal survey metrics were gathered via a total population census (N = 114 students and registered parents), integrated with 16 in-depth qualitative stakeholder interviews and observational audits. Server telemetry demonstrated a 94.0% message delivery success rate with a mean latency of 42.6 seconds. Inferential statistical analyses revealed significant behavioral adjustments, including an increase in mean daily attendance from 71.0% to 90.0% (p < 0.001), a reduction in undocumented absenteeism from 18.0% to 4.0% (p < 0.001), and a surge in active parental responsiveness from 34.0% to 88.0% (p < 0.001). Qualitative thematic synthesis indicated that real-time push notifications served as ambient behavioral nudges that dismantled truancy concealment while activating parental social capital. The study culminates in the Transparent Information System for Discipline (SITD) model, providing a validated, low-cost architectural blueprint that bridges technological automation with socio-technical safety nets to modernize educational governance and democratize school-family partnerships across the Global South.

Abstract

Value Added Tax (VAT) is one of Indonesia's primary sources of government revenue and plays a significant role in supporting fiscal sustainability. The increase in the VAT rate from 11% to 12% has generated diverse public responses, particularly among young adults, yet limited empirical research has examined university students' perceptions of this policy. This study aims to investigate the perceptions of students at K.H. Abdurrahman Wahid State Islamic University Pekalongan regarding the implementation of the 12% VAT increase. A quantitative survey approach was employed using a structured online questionnaire administered to students of the Islamic Economics Study Program through purposive sampling. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques, including frequency distributions and percentage analysis, to identify patterns in students' awareness, perceptions, and responses to the policy. The findings reveal that although most students are aware of the VAT increase, their understanding of its fiscal objectives and economic implications remains limited. Social media serves as the primary source of policy information, while higher education institutions play a relatively minor role in promoting economic literacy. Students also reported varying perceptions regarding the policy's impact on personal expenditures and its fairness, with these differences influenced by socioeconomic conditions and financial circumstances. Furthermore, respondents emphasized the need for more effective government communication and complementary support measures, such as scholarship programs, to mitigate the policy's impact on vulnerable groups. The study contributes to the literature on public perceptions of fiscal policy and provides practical insights for policymakers and educational institutions to enhance economic literacy and improve public acceptance of taxation reforms.

Abstract

Sebagian besar pelaku usaha jasa konstruksi anggota GAPENSI Kabupaten Trenggalek masih mengelola proyek secara manual, sehingga rentan mengalami miskomunikasi dan keterlambatan pelaporan. Sebagai solusi, tim pengabdian masyarakat mengimplementasikan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Proyek (SIMP) di CV. Galaxy. Kegiatan sosialisasi dilaksanakan dengan kolaborasi GAPENSI Kabupaten Trenggalek yang melibatkan 13 peserta yang mengikuti tahapan persiapan pemaparan system dan dilanjutkan demonstrasi system yang diimplementasikan di CV. Galaxy. Kemudian pada tahap akhir sosialisasi dilakukan evaluasi kepada peserta kegiatan melalui kuesioner posttest. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan skor rata-rata pemahaman dan kepuasan peserta sebesar 4,45 dari 5 (kategori Sangat Baik). Peserta memberikan apresiasi tinggi terhadap kepraktisan sistem digital dibanding cara manual serta menunjukkan minat untuk mengadopsi sistem serupa. Kegiatan ini berhasil menjadi langkah awal yang positif dalam mendorong digitalisasi manajemen proyek di CV. Galaxy dan anggota GAPENSI Kabupaten Trenggalek. Abstract: Most construction service businesses affiliated with GAPENSI Trenggalek Regency still manage their projects manually, making them vulnerable to miscommunication and delays in project reporting. As a solution, the community service team implemented a Project Management Information System (PMIS) at CV. Galaxy. The dissemination activity was conducted in collaboration with GAPENSI Trenggalek Regency and involved 13 participants. The activity consisted of a preparation stage, a presentation of the system, and a demonstration of the system implemented at CV. Galaxy. At the final stage, participants were evaluated using a post-test questionnaire. The evaluation results showed an average participant comprehension and satisfaction score of 4.45 out of 5, categorized as Very Good. Participants highly appreciated the practicality of the digital system compared with conventional manual methods and demonstrated an interest in adopting a similar system. This activity successfully served as a positive initial step toward promoting the digitalization of project management at CV. Galaxy and among GAPENSI members in Trenggalek Regency.

Abstract

Clinical information service chatbots require an accurate multiclass intent classification mechanism to handle informal language variations, medical abbreviations, service-related inquiries, and health complaints in Indonesian. This study aims to develop a hybrid chatbot architecture that integrates a Support Vector Machine ensemble for intent classification with Meta-Llama-3.1-8B-Instruct to generate relevant, natural, and context-aware responses. The dataset consisted of 3,293 utterance patterns across 66 intent classes. The proposed approach employed an 80:20 stratified split; semantic augmentation on the training data; preprocessing via abbreviation normalization, stopword removal, and Sastrawi stemming; TF-IDF feature extraction using unigram and bigram word n-grams and character n-grams; chi-squared feature selection; and hyperparameter optimization via grid search. The classification model was constructed by combining three calibrated LinearSVC classifiers via probability-based soft voting. Experimental results achieved an accuracy of 89.83%, a weighted F1-score of 89.90%, a kappa of 0.8966, a macro AUC of 0.9942, and an average response time of 61.87 ms. McNemar's test indicated statistically significant improvements over Complement Naïve Bayes, Logistic Regression, and Decision Tree, while no significant difference was observed compared with Single SVM. Therefore, the proposed architecture is effective at supporting multiclass intent classification and delivering fast, relevant chatbot responses for clinical information services.

Abstract

Objective of this study is to systematically synthesize empirical evidence on the effect of Information Technology (IT) devices on student learning outcomes and to identify multi-level factors that moderate this relationship, guided by the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework, Cognitive Load Theory (CLT), and Self-Determination Theory (SDT). Method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the PRISMA 2020 protocol. Literature searches were conducted in Google Scholar, Scopus, and ERIC databases using Boolean search strings: ("information technology" OR "ICT" OR "digital learning" OR "educational technology") AND ("learning outcomes" OR "academic achievement" OR "student performance") AND ("education" OR "school" OR "higher education") within the 2019–2025 range. After identification, screening, and quality assessment using the JBI Critical Appraisal Checklist and Cochrane Handbook criteria (minimum score ≥70%), 56 articles met the inclusion criteria. Inter-rater reliability for screening was assessed using Cohen's kappa (κ = 0.84, 95% CI [0.78, 0.90]), indicating strong agreement. Due to high heterogeneity (I² > 75%), narrative synthesis was employed rather than statistical meta-analysis. Results show that 80.4% of studies reported significant positive effects with effect sizes (Cohen's d) ranging from moderate to very large (d = 0.85 to d = 2.58). Influencing factors include teacher competence (TPACK) appearing in 73.2% of studies, student readiness (attitudes and intrinsic motivation) in 66.1%, school infrastructure in 57.1%, and contextual factors such as education level (highest effect in senior high school) and subject area (science > mathematics) in 53.6%. Conclusion of this study is that information technology acts as an effective catalyst for improving learning outcomes, but its effectiveness depends on the synergy between teacher pedagogical competence, student readiness, institutional support, and contextual suitability. Recommended policy implications include the need for continuous TPACK training for teachers and addressing the digital divide in schools.

Abstract

The Practical Work (KP) process in the Information Systems Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Pontianak still faces obstacles, such as the absence of reporting standards, limited partner information, monitoring difficulties, and an assessment system that is not yet transparent and integrated. This research aims to optimize KP service governance using the ITIL V4 approach with a focus on Service Request Management, Service Desk, and Continual Improvement. The research result is a website-based application that supports the KP process in an integrated manner, starting from determining location, managing daily logbooks, to online guidance documentation. This system also facilitates educational staff and supervisors to monitor student activities in real-time, so that the evaluation process becomes more objective and accountable. Testing with Black Box Testing ensures all functions run as required, while User Acceptance Testing (UAT) results in a satisfaction level for KP partners of 91%, students of 89%, and Study Program Admins of 95% (strongly agree category). This system is expected to improve efficiency, service quality and KP governance in a sustainable manner.
