Abstract

Management Information Systems (MIS) are strategic components used by companies to process data and generate information as a basis for decision-making. In the ready-to-drink beverage industry, the implementation of MIS plays a role in ensuring operational effectiveness, consistency in quality standards, and accuracy in marketing strategies. This study aims to analyze the implementation of MIS in supporting decision-making at the Chatime Setiabudhi outlet. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method through in-depth interviews with outlet employees. The results show that MIS is implemented in an integrated cashier system, inventory management, SOP-based employee training system, and customer data-based marketing strategies. MIS has improved operational efficiency, accelerated communication between outlets and headquarters, and strengthened decision-making related to sales, inventory, and customer service. The obstacles found include supply delays and system malfunctions, but these can be overcome through headquarters support and backup procedures. This study concludes that the effectiveness of MIS is influenced by system integration, human resource competence, and consistency in implementing SOPs.

Abstract

The digital transformation of land administration through the implementation of electronic certificates opens up opportunities for increased efficiency, transparency, and legal certainty in the land registration system in Indonesia. Blockchain technology offers advantages in the form of data integrity, transaction transparency, and decentralized verification mechanisms, but these characteristics also pose legal challenges, particularly regarding the protection of personal data of land rights holders. This study aims to analyze the normative conflict between the principle of public information transparency and the state's obligation to protect personal data in the blockchain-based land registration ecosystem, while simultaneously formulating an ideal regulatory harmonization model. The research method employed is normative juridical with a legislative, conceptual, and comparative approach through an analysis of the national legal framework, including the Basic Agrarian Law (UUPA), Government Regulation Number 24 of 1997 concerning Land Registration, Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure, Law Number 11 of 2008 in conjunction with Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions, and Law Number 27 of 2022 concerning Personal Data Protection, as well as comparisons with international practices such as Estonia and the GDPR approach in the European Union. The study reveals a tension between the immutable and distributed nature of blockchain transparency and personal data protection principles such as consent, data minimization, and the right to correction. Existing regulations still do not fully accommodate decentralized technology designs, potentially creating legal loopholes. The proposed harmonization model emphasizes the use of permissioned blockchains, layered access systems, privacy-by-design, and the separation of sensitive data storage through off-chain mechanisms. A techno-legal approach is crucial to ensure that technological innovation aligns with the protection of citizens' constitutional rights and the principle of legal certainty in digital land administration.

Abstract

Adhering to a structured process of the flow of given to new topic information within academic written discourse is a significant challenge for most tertiary-level non-native EFL students. The progression of given to new topic information in written academic text is equally difficult for many non-native academic English writing teachers to distinguish, much less assess. This research seeks to determine if given to new information progression can be significantly identified, and explore the possibility of such topic progression being utilized as a practical form of academic writing assessment by experienced Thai tertiary teachers of academic English. Multiple Linear Regression was employed to determine the relationship between the Thai writing teachers' identification of the flow of given to new topic information and a preliminary analysis of topic information flow by a qualified native English writing teacher. The insights gained from this study show that the Thai academic English writing teachers could not significantly detect the presence of given to new topic information progression within the academic texts. The implication of this research suggests that at this time, the practical utilization of a given to new progression analysis may not be a feasible evaluative measure in written assessments for Thai academic English writing teachers.

Abstract

The management of Student Association (HIMA) activity administration at the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Jambi, is still carried out manually, from activity proposal submission, proposal and budget plan (RAB) preparation, to accountability reporting (LPJ), making the process slow, difficult to monitor, and prone to document loss. This study aims to implement the prototype model in building a web-based Student Activity Management Information System (SIPEKMA) and to determine the functional test results of the system using black box testing. The development followed the prototype stages of communication, quick plan, modeling quick design, construction of prototype, and delivery and feedback, with system modeling using Unified Modeling Language (UML) in the form of activity diagrams, class diagrams, and sequence diagrams. The system was built with the Laravel framework and MySQL database and was developed through two iterations based on user feedback. Black box testing of 135 functions across four user roles (48 HIMA functions, 26 Advisor functions, 25 Head of Study Program functions, and 36 Vice Dean III functions) produced X = 100% of functions running well and Y = 0% of functions failing, so the system is considered good in terms of functionality and ready to simplify student activity administration.
