Abstract

This study addresses critical gaps in Malaysia's mental health landscape by developing a culturally adaptive framework for anxiety disorder resources, where only 28% of adults recognize symptoms due to cultural stigma and poor resource design. Our key contribution is a user-centered framework integrating visual-interactive tools with cultural adaptation strategies to improve accessibility and literacy. The objective was to investigate how information design can overcome barriers, using a mixed-methods approach with 12 anxiety disorder patients (screened via DASS-21). Findings revealed: (1) format preferences (infographics: 40%, videos: 35%, simulations: 25%), (2) accessibility barriers (technical language: 45%, lack of credible sources: 65%, insufficient examples: 30%), and (3) demand for demographic personalization (age-targeted content: 78%, mood-tracking tools: 62%). Quantitative results showed strong alignment between preferred formats and comprehension gains (infographics improved understanding by 40% vs. text). The novelty lies in merging cognitive load theory with Malay cultural values (familial collectivism, Islamic coping mechanisms) into actionable design principles. Our framework demonstrates that culturally tailored visual-interactive content increases engagement by 35-40% compared to generic materials, while simplified Malay Language reduces stigma-related avoidance by 28%. These ideas translate into three evidence-based strategies: (a) minimalist visual formats to reduce cognitive load, (b) family-involved examples to respect collectivism, and (c) hybrid delivery (online/offline) for rural accessibility. The study provides policymakers with metrics-backed guidance, showing SMS-based hybrid tools achieve 58% adherence in low-bandwidth areas versus 22% for chatbots. Future work should validate scalability in larger cohorts and test AR/VR adaptations (requested by 70% of youth participants). This research advances both mental health communication theory and practical interventions for Southeast Asia's multicultural contexts.

Abstract

Information security is a crucial issue that affects the overall business process, therefore it must be protected and secured. This research was conducted to assess the information security risks at Metro City Communication and Information Office in a structured manner towards information assets in identifying efforts to reduce risks as part of the information security management program. The research method begins with defining the scope, collecting data and supporting documents, evaluating the Information Security Index (KAMI), determining scores in 7 security areas, where strengths/maturity and weaknesses/deficiencies will be identified in each security area. Finally, after obtaining the evaluation results, recommendations will be made. The Information Security Index (KAMI) is a computer-based tool in excel format that can assess and evaluate the completeness and maturity level of information security implementation based on the SNI ISO/IEC 27001 criteria that describe the readiness of the information security framework. The data obtained by the researcher is based on interview results, examination of the availability of Information Security Management System (SMKI) documents, and evidence of SMKI implementation records/archives. The dashboard evaluation results for electronic system category score 17, which is in the high category, governance score is 69, risk management score is 29, framework score is 33, information asset management score is 69, technology score is 81 and supplement score is 0%. Based on verification of the results of the KAMI Index version 4.2 assessment file, a score of 275 was obtained, indicating that information security

Abstract

Tourism development depends not only on economic resources and institutional arrangements but also on how information circulates among governments, tourism organizations, businesses, workers, and local communities. Yet communication is often treated as a neutral process of transmitting development information, overlooking the network relations through which access, voice, and participation are differentially structured. This study examines how community communication networks shape access to information, participation, and emerging agency in tourism development in Berau, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. Using a qualitative and interpretive approach, the study re-analyzes empirical material from interviews, observation, documentary sources, and online information through a communication-centered analytical framework. The analysis draws primarily on Castells’ concept of communication power and network society, complemented by Habermas’ theory of communicative action and perspectives from Development Communication and Communication for Social Change. The findings indicate that tourism-related information is frequently mediated through organizational and interpersonal networks, including tourism associations and local institutional relationships. Network connectivity facilitates information circulation, access to programs, and opportunities for participation, but these networks also create boundaries that may limit access for less-connected actors. The study therefore conceptualizes community networks as both infrastructures of inclusion and mechanisms of communicative exclusion. It argues that communication contributes to social change not automatically through information transmission, but through a contingent pathway from access to information toward voice, participation, and community agency.

Abstract

The development of chatbots can communicate fluently like humans thanks to the Natural Language Processing (NLP) technology. Using this technology, chatbots can provide more accurate and natural responses, providing an almost the same experience as human interaction. Therefore, chatbot technology is in great demand by companies and government agencies as a cost-effective solution for information and administrative services that require little human effort and can operate 24/7. The registration information service at BLK Surabaya still uses an operator who serves prospective trainees and answers questions via social media or chat. However, these operators have limitations in terms of time and effort. The purpose of this study is to examine how to use chatbots to answer questions about registration information training at BLK Surabaya using the Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) algorithm with a dataset of questions collected in the form of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) in Indonesian. The dataset consists of 2,636 labeled samples of questions, which were divided into three sets: 60% for training (1,581 pieces), 20% for validation (527 samples), and 20% for testing (528 samples) to evaluate the model's performance. Several steps were taken in implementing this research, including changing the list of questions and answers into the JSON data format, preprocessing, creating LSTM modeling, data training, and data testing. The test results show that Chatbot can provide accurate solutions related to training registration questions with Precision of 88.4%, Accuracy of 87.6%, and Recall of 87.3%.

Abstract

This research employs a mixed-methods design to analyze telemedicine adoption in rural Indonesia by integrating the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Information System Success Model (ISS), extended with digital literacy and usability. A quantitative survey of 314 respondents was complemented by in-depth interviews with 50 participants and demographic analysis using chi-square and logistic regression. The quantitative findings reveal that the primary adoption construct is Usability → Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU) → Perceived Usefulness (PU) → Intention to Use (ITU) → Net Benefit (NB). Perceived usefulness emerged as the strongest predictor of both satisfaction and intention. Information Quality significantly influenced satisfaction, whereas System Quality did not, indicating that clear medical information outweighs technical system performance in shaping satisfaction. Similarly, usability directly did not affect PU but indirectly through PEOU, and digital literacy influenced PU but not PEOU. Demographic analysis confirmed that occupation was significant—students and healthcare workers acted as early adopters—while age and prior training were not, suggesting that adoption transcends generational boundaries due to the widespread penetration of the JKN Mobile platform. Qualitative insights enriched these findings by highlighting key barriers and enablers such as inconsistent interfaces, infrastructure limitations, privacy concerns, community-based socialization, and expectations for adaptive features like AI diagnostics and pharmacy integration. Overall, the research confirms that telemedicine adoption in rural Indonesia is shaped by the synergy of usability, digital literacy, information quality, and social context rather than by training or demographic variables alone.

Abstract

The Free Nutritious Meal Program in Surabaya is a major government initiative designed to improve child nutrition and reduce hunger among schoolchildren from low-income families. Despite its importance, the program faces significant challenges of food loss and waste due to inefficiencies in transportation, storage, and demand matching. This study introduces a Smart MBG Cloud Platform and applies a linear programming model to optimize the program’s supply chain under two operational scenarios: a baseline system without Information Technology (IT) support and an IT-enhanced system integrating route optimization and digital inventory monitoring. Simulation results reveal substantial efficiency gains in the IT-integrated model. This study was conducted using a mixed-method approach involving samples from schools as beneficiaries and the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit as providers of free nutritious meals. Using simulation data from five kitchens and ten schools and conducting 50 stochastic replications, the IT-enhanced model achieved a 28% reduction in transportation cost and the total objective value declined by 22%, compared to without IT support scenario. These results demonstrate that incorporating digital route planning and inventory monitoring not only reduces operational expenses but also mitigates organic waste, ensuring fresher meal delivery and supporting sustainability targets. These improvements highlight the potential of digital tools to minimize inefficiencies, ensure fresher meal delivery, and strengthen the nutritional impact of the program. Beyond operational savings, the IT-based model contributes to reduced organic waste generation and aligns with broader sustainability goals. The findings provide empirical evidence that digital transformation can significantly enhance the performance of public food programs and offer practical insights for policymakers to replicate these strategies in similar urban initiatives.

Abstract

Due to the poor node optimization effect of traditional mathematical model methods, an efficient node optimization algorithm based on ant colony genetic algorithm is proposed. The ant colony algorithm is a kind of bionic optimization algorithm, and its dynamics and self-similarity are very similar to the optimization principles of messy information nodes. "Chaos node efficient optimization algorithm" is dedicated to effectively aggregating various resources such as computing, storage, knowledge, communication, information, distributed around the world, serving the public, and realizing resource sharing and collaborative work. Among them, chaos nodes efficiently search the excellent problem is particularly prominent. If the number of parent nodes and the order of the nodes are known, the ant colony genetic algorithm is used to find the largest supporting tree, so as to obtain the best node to obtain the largest number of iterations, thereby effectively optimizing the information node.Wireless Network Communication, Chaotic Nodes, Nodes, Efficient Optimization

Abstract

Text steganography is crucial in information security due to the limited redundancy in text. The Arabic language features offer a new method for data concealment. In this paper, the researchers propose a new coverless text information hidingmethod based on built-in features of Arabic scripts. The first word of each row in the dataset is tested based on eight features to get one byte containing 1 or 0. That is a result of the presence or absence of the following features: mahmoze, diacritics, isolated, two sharp edges, vowels, dotted, looping, and high frequency. Then, each byte is converted to a decimal number (ASCII code) to implement a dynamic mappingprotocol with the most frequent letter. In the hiding process, each character in the secret message is converted to ASCII code and successfully matched in the dataset. Thus, after matching, the candidate text is sent to the receiver. In contrast, the pre-agreed dynamic mappingprotocol was implemented in a receiver to extract secret messages. Three Arabic datasets are used in this paper (SANAD (Single-Label Arabic News Articles Dataset) includes 45500 articles, Arabic Poem Comprehensive Dataset (APCD) contains 1,831,770 poetic verses in total, Arabic Poetry Dataset contains more than 58000 poems). The suggested approach withstands existing detecting methods because of no modification or generation. Moreover, there is an enhancement in hiding capacity, which can conceal a (character /word). Hence, all the messages are embedded successfully using dynamic mapping.

Abstract

Our research aimed to test and analyze the information content of Sharia Corporate Social Responsibility (SCSR) disclosure in ethical perspective on the agroindustrial companies in Indonesia. It used the SCSR concept proposed in the research conducted by Irmadariyani, et al. (2019) as the concept to measure the disclosure of SCSR by agroindustrial companies in Indonesia. Using quantitative approach, this research tested and analyzed the correlation between market performance (proxied by information content)and CSRdisclosure from the ethical perspective. Information content measured using Cumulative Abnormal Return (CAR). We find that SCSR disclosure positively affects the Cumulative Abnormal Return (CAR), which means that Sharia Corporate Social Responsibility disclosure provides information content. This research proves that the SCSR is able give signal to investors and has important information content on companies. The application of ethical principles pursuant to the Islamic law indicates good information of companies for investor. SCSR disclosure is a means for a company to show that it has good management to manage its resources, increasing its corporate performance.
