Abstract

Text steganography is crucial in information security due to the limited redundancy in text. The Arabic language features offer a new method for data concealment. In this paper, the researchers propose a new coverless text information hidingmethod based on built-in features of Arabic scripts. The first word of each row in the dataset is tested based on eight features to get one byte containing 1 or 0. That is a result of the presence or absence of the following features: mahmoze, diacritics, isolated, two sharp edges, vowels, dotted, looping, and high frequency. Then, each byte is converted to a decimal number (ASCII code) to implement a dynamic mappingprotocol with the most frequent letter. In the hiding process, each character in the secret message is converted to ASCII code and successfully matched in the dataset. Thus, after matching, the candidate text is sent to the receiver. In contrast, the pre-agreed dynamic mappingprotocol was implemented in a receiver to extract secret messages. Three Arabic datasets are used in this paper (SANAD (Single-Label Arabic News Articles Dataset) includes 45500 articles, Arabic Poem Comprehensive Dataset (APCD) contains 1,831,770 poetic verses in total, Arabic Poetry Dataset contains more than 58000 poems). The suggested approach withstands existing detecting methods because of no modification or generation. Moreover, there is an enhancement in hiding capacity, which can conceal a (character /word). Hence, all the messages are embedded successfully using dynamic mapping.

Abstract

Our research aimed to test and analyze the information content of Sharia Corporate Social Responsibility (SCSR) disclosure in ethical perspective on the agroindustrial companies in Indonesia. It used the SCSR concept proposed in the research conducted by Irmadariyani, et al. (2019) as the concept to measure the disclosure of SCSR by agroindustrial companies in Indonesia. Using quantitative approach, this research tested and analyzed the correlation between market performance (proxied by information content)and CSRdisclosure from the ethical perspective. Information content measured using Cumulative Abnormal Return (CAR). We find that SCSR disclosure positively affects the Cumulative Abnormal Return (CAR), which means that Sharia Corporate Social Responsibility disclosure provides information content. This research proves that the SCSR is able give signal to investors and has important information content on companies. The application of ethical principles pursuant to the Islamic law indicates good information of companies for investor. SCSR disclosure is a means for a company to show that it has good management to manage its resources, increasing its corporate performance.

Abstract

Gender realization in Indonesian–English machine translation remains challenging due to the absence of grammatical gender in Indonesian, which often leads to unstable or ambiguous gender representations in English outputs. While Transformer-based models have demonstrated strong general translation performance, their ability to preserve gender information across encoding layers remains inconsistent and poorly understood, particularly with respect to architectural normalization strategies. This study presents a comparative analysis of Pre-Norm and Post-Norm Transformer architectures in preserving gender information, and examines the role of attention-based signal reinforcement in mitigating representational degradation. The reinforcement mechanism is introduced prior to standard encoder processing to strengthen gender-relevant token interactions without modifying the overall model structure.Four controlled configurations—Post-Norm, Pre-Norm, Post-Norm with attention-based reinforcement, and Pre-Norm with attention-based reinforcement—are trained under identical random seeds on both unbalanced and balanced datasets. Evaluation is performed on gender-ambiguous test sentences without explicit gender annotations to assess generalization. Gender preservation is assessed at the output level using gender-specific accuracy and BLEU score, and at the representation level using cosine similarity between gender cue embeddings and English gendered pronouns. The results show that Post-Norm Transformers fail to maintain stable gender representations, yielding near-random gender accuracy (~50%) and negligible BLEU scores. Pre-Norm architectures improve training stability but achieve limited gender accuracy (around 30%). Incorporating attention-based signal reinforcement substantially enhances gender preservation, with accuracy rising to over 50% and reaching up to 56% under balanced training conditions, accompanied by a consistent increase in cosine similarity values (exceeding 0.35) between gender cues and corresponding pronouns. These findings indicate that normalization strategy and attention-based reinforcement jointly determine the stability of gender representations in Transformer-based machine translation.

Abstract

This study examines the concept and urgency of Management Information Systems (MIS) as an essential asset in supporting leadership performance and decision-making within educational institutions during the digital era. Systematically processed information is highly required by leaders to formulate precise, rapid, and rational operational and strategic policies. To investigate this, the research employs a descriptive qualitative. The focus of data and information collection is directed toward the application of fundamental MIS concepts and their urgency in supporting technical operations as well as transformational managerial functions within the academic community. The results indicate that leaders play three primary roles within the MIS ecosystem: distributing information in a coordinated manner, influencing the academic community through a transformational approach, and formulating data-driven decisions directly integrated with the campus Academic Information System (SIAKAD). Based on these findings, it can be analyzed that the optimization of this leadership role heavily depends on the standardization of technological infrastructure aiming for cheaper, better, and faster processing which must strictly be balanced with the readiness and quality of Human Resources (HR). Therefore, a leader's strategic policy must not be limited to merely providing a centralized information system. It must inherently encompass continuous technical coaching and training to strengthen policy acceptability and ensure organizational sustainability amidst the current wave of digital transformation.

Abstract

This study examines the determinants of financial reporting quality in commercial banks, with accounting information system quality serving as a theoretically specified mediating mechanism. To avoid conceptual ambiguity, financial reporting quality is defined as the broader quality of the reporting process and its information outputs, whereas financial statement quality is treated as one observable manifestation of that broader construct. Drawing on the information systems success perspective, the resource-based view, and institutional theory, the study links human competence, organizational control, regulatory compliance, managerial support, and technological application to accounting information system quality and financial reporting quality. The qualitative phase used semi-structured discussions with 30 officers responsible for accounting, internal control, regulatory reporting, and information systems in commercial bank branches to refine the model and questionnaire. The quantitative phase surveyed accountants, controllers, internal auditors, financial officers, and IT staff involved in accounting systems at commercial banks. Of 700 questionnaires distributed, 635 valid responses were retained for structural equation modeling. Reliability, convergent validity, discriminant validity, multicollinearity, common-method diagnostics, structural paths, and indirect effects were assessed. The results support all proposed hypotheses. Accounting staff competence, internal control system, regulatory compliance, top management support, and information technology application positively affect accounting information system quality. Information technology application shows the largest standardized association with accounting information system quality, although coefficient differences are interpreted cautiously because formal pairwise coefficient-comparison tests were not conducted. Accounting information system quality positively affects financial reporting quality, and information technology application also has a direct positive effect. Product-of-coefficients estimates indicate mediated pathways through accounting information system quality, with the strongest indirect pathway from information technology application to financial reporting quality. The findings suggest that commercial banks should improve financial reporting quality by combining digital transformation, accounting information system enhancement, internal control strengthening, staff competence development, managerial commitment, and regulatory compliance.

Abstract

Due to the digital transformation of businesses, the Internet of Things (IoT) has been integrated into Management Information Systems (MIS) to improve efficiency and quality of decision-making. Through a systematic literature review, the purpose of this work is to analyze the role of IoT in MIS as a driver of digital business transformation. Following the PRISMA protocol, this review analyzes 20 peer-reviewed articles published over five years (2020 to 2025) and retrieved through Google Scholar. The results of the review suggest that the IoT has improved business processes in terms of visibility and the automation of operations, and the effective utilization of data has enhanced the overall quality of managerial decision-making. In addition to operational efficiencies, IoT-enabled MIS enhances business model and organizational flexibility, strategic competitiveness, and sociosystem agility. The literature also points to system interoperability, data security concerns, organizational, and managerial preparedness as the most persistent areas of challenge. The overall conclusion of the work is that the organized deployment of IoT into MIS frameworks is a function of the flexibility of the technology and the preparedness of the economy to drive a sustainable digital business transformation. Abstract

Algorithms are one of the components that need to be considered in the development of information systems. Determination of the algorithm is adjusted to the purpose of the system to be built. One algorithm that can be used is string matching. The string matching algorithm will play a role in searching for a string consisting of several characters (usually called a pattern). The method used in this research is string matching knuth morris pratt (KMP) which is used to search zakat information and social activities in the search engine system. KMP is a string matching algorithm with good performance. The results showed the performance of string matching using the KMP algorithm with 5 trials of input pattern on zakat information with execution times of 0.03 ms, 0.03 ms, 0.02 ms, 0.02 ms and 0.03 ms. And 5 times the input pattern experiment on social activities with execution time of 0.02 ms, 0.02 ms, 0.03 ms, 0.03 ms and 0.02 ms. Thus the average execution time of the KMP algorithm in string matching is 0.026 ms and 0.024 ms.

Abstract

Studies of tabayyun, Q. 49:6, Tafsir Al-Misbah, and misinformation on social media generally emphasize the obligation to verify information or describe its application to particular groups and platforms. However, these studies have not sufficiently reconstructed M. Quraish Shihab's interpretation into an integrated and operational framework for digital information ethics. This study analyzes the meaning of tabayyun in Tafsir Al-Misbah and formulates its principles as an ethical framework for receiving, evaluating, and disseminating digital information. It employs qualitative library research using a focused thematic-exegetical approach. The primary source is Tafsir Al-Misbah, particularly its interpretation of Q. 49:6, while secondary sources include academic books, journal articles, and conference proceedings on tabayyun, misinformation, disinformation, and digital communication. Data were collected through documentation and analyzed using qualitative content analysis involving textual reduction, coding, categorization, contextual comparison, and interpretive synthesis. The study identifies five principles: caution, selectivity regarding sources and content, avoidance of prejudice and backbiting, social responsibility, and proportionality. Its novelty lies in reconstructing these principles into three dimensions: epistemic verification, moral-discursive restraint, and social-pragmatic responsibility. The resulting framework positions tabayyun not merely as fact-checking but as an ethical process governing judgment, speech, action, and the social consequences of digital information.

Abstract

Background: Parents of children with leukemia experience an intensive and prolonged treatment process that frequently leads to significant psychological distress. As they adapt to their caregiving roles, these parents seek information from various sources; however, their information needs often go unmet, and little research examines how these needs change across the treatment trajectory. Objective: This study explored the information needs of parents of children with leukemia, focusing on the sources and content of information they use and the barriers they face in meeting these needs. Method: We used a qualitative approach, conducting semi-structured, in-depth interviews with 13 parents of 12 children diagnosed with leukemia at the Estella Pediatric Oncology Center, Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou General Hospital, Manado, Indonesia, between September 1 and 30, 2025. We recruited participants through purposive sampling until data saturation was achieved. We analyzed the data using thematic analysis in NVivo 15. Result:We identified two primary themes. The first theme, information during the care of a child with leukemia, encompassed sources of information (healthcare providers, the internet, and peer parents) and content areas (nutrition, hygiene, and activity restriction). The second theme, barriers to information, included psychological, cognitive, interactional, and family support barriers, which were most prominent early in treatment and diminished as trust with healthcare providers increased. Conclusion: The findings underscore the importance of healthcare providers pacing and personalizing communication based on parents' readiness, as well as implementing community-based education to address stigma and misconceptions related to childhood cancer.

Abstract

The increasing number of Indonesian citizens (WNI) departing the country by providing false information (misrepresentation) has become a challenge in the implementation of immigration supervision, particularly in preventing trafficking in persons (TIP) and the non-procedural placement of Indonesian migrant workers (PMI). This study analyzes the legal regulation of immigration measures against Indonesian citizens who provide false statements, the implementation of optimized immigration measures at Citra Tritunas International Port, Batam, and the obstacles and solutions encountered. The study employs empirical legal research using statutory, conceptual, case, and sociological approaches. Data were obtained through literature review, documentation, observation, and semi-structured interviews with officials and immigration inspection officers at the Batam Class I Special TPI Immigration Office and were analyzed qualitatively. The findings show that the legal framework is based on Law No. 6 of 2011 on Immigration as amended by Law No. 63 of 2024, but does not specifically regulate misrepresentation by Indonesian citizens at the departure stage. Implementation has been optimized through risk profiling, behavioral analysis, secondary inspection, the Immigration Management Information System (SIMKIM), and inter-agency coordination. Key obstacles include limited operational regulation, human resources, inspection facilities, and increasingly adaptive transnational crime. The proposed solutions are stronger technical regulations, improved officer competence, modernized inspection technology, and integrated inter-agency data.
