Abstract

This study aims to develop a technology design for the RESIMAFRO (Result-Based Management in Organizational Information Systems) reporting system at Yayasan Amal Produktif Indonesia, Bandung City, West Java, Indonesia as an effort to transform the reporting system from an administrative orientation toward integrated results-based reporting. The study employed Participatory Action Research (PAR) with a qualitative approach, guided by the Kemmis and McTaggart cycle, encompassing five stages: reflection, needs formulation, design, implementation, and design evaluation. The findings demonstrate that the RESIMAFRO system effectively supports program reporting processes to become more structured, measurable, and oriented toward the achievement of program outputs, outcomes, and impacts. The final system design integrates RESIMAFRO with the SIAP (Sistem Informasi Amal Produktif) Dashboard, enabling program monitoring, report validation, and organizational decision-making to be conducted more rapidly, accurately, and on a data-driven basis. This study reinforces Result-Based Management (RBM) theory, Open Systems Theory, and Human Service Organization Management (HSOM) within the context of social technology development in human service organization.

Abstract

Accurate energy data management is essential for improving operational decision-making in industrial environments; however, manual and semi-integrated data acquisition processes often cause discrepancies between internal metering and external billing data. This study aims to implement a Modbus TCP-based Energy Information System (EIS) to reduce energy data discrepancies, improve reporting efficiency, and evaluate user acceptance in a food and beverage manufacturing facility. The research employed a structured implementation approach consisting of system design, integration, performance evaluation, and user acceptance analysis. The proposed EIS integrated 117 power meters using a hybrid Modbus TCP/RTU architecture, supported by Node-RED middleware and a PostgreSQL time-series database for real-time data acquisition and centralized monitoring. System performance was evaluated using Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE), and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE), while user acceptance was assessed using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) involving 23 respondents. The findings indicate that the implementation of EIS reduced energy data discrepancies from an average of 6.75% during the anomaly phase to 2.0% after stabilization, representing an improvement of approximately 70%. In addition, monthly reporting time decreased from 14 hours to 2.83 hours, improving reporting efficiency by approximately 80%. TAM analysis shows that Perceived Ease of Use significantly influences Perceived Usefulness, indicating the importance of system usability in industrial adoption. The study implies that Modbus TCP-based EIS provides an effective solution for enhancing energy data accuracy, operational efficiency, and data-driven energy management in industrial settings

Abstract

The link between information systems, market expansion and profitability is often described through sales growth, but annual reports rarely provide the measures needed to identify that mechanism. This study examines the evidential status of the proposed pathway in Kimia Farma and Phapros using a longitudinal documentary comparison of public reports for 2021–2025. Technology and market access narratives are read alongside revenue and the latest comparable financial figures. Phapros’ 2025 revenue increased by 26.34 percent and its net margin returned to positive territory. Kimia Farma’s revenue decreased by 7.20 percent while its net loss margin improved. The contrasting patterns show that revenue growth is neither a necessary description of margin recovery nor sufficient evidence of a mediated effect. Reported enterprise systems, electronic commerce and distribution arrangements suggest plausible operational links, but deployment, customer conversion and causal timing remain unobserved. The study contributes an identification audit that distinguishes a theoretically plausible pathway from a tested mediation claim. It identifies the operational and longitudinal evidence required for subsequent empirical testing.

Abstract

Financial sustainability depends on liquidity and cash generation as well as reported profit, yet technology narratives often omit comparable expenditure and operational return measures. This study examines technology investment disclosure, selling cost efficiency and financial sustainability in Kimia Farma and Phapros through a documentary longitudinal comparison. Public reports provide historical context for 2021–2025 and detailed financial comparisons for 2024–2025. Neither case supplies a consistent, separately identified technology investment series suitable for estimating an investment return. Kimia Farma’s current ratio rises from 0.48 to 0.56 and its operating cash flow margin improves, but its net result remains negative. Phapros’ current ratio rises from 0.95 to 2.29, while operating cash flow decreases despite a revenue rebound and a return to profit. Both selling expense ratios decline, but their compositions and revenue denominators differ. The contribution is a multidimensional reconciliation of commercial cost burden, liquidity and cash generation, with undisclosed technology spending retained as missing. The results show that recovery in one indicator does not establish a general digital investment effect or durable financial sustainability.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate and optimize the User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) on the Online Single Submission (OSS) website as a digital public service platform in Indonesia. The main problems with OSS include complex navigation, low clarity of information, and lack of support for new users. The research method uses a design thinking approach with five stages: emphatize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The evaluation was carried out through usability testing using System Usability Scale (SUS), Net Promoter Score (NPS), and User Experience Questionnaire Plus (UEQ+) instruments, as well as performance indicators such as task completion rate, error rate, and time-based efficiency. The results of the study showed that the UI/UX quality of the existing OSS website was low (SUS 49.33 – category F, NPS -23%, UEQ+ 0.77). In contrast, the OSS prototype developed showed a significant improvement (SUS 79.5 – category B, NPS 30%, UEQ+ 2.43). Improvements in the form of simple navigation, non-intrusive information banners, step-by-step guides, chatbots, and interactive indicators have been proven to improve efficiency, interaction success, and user satisfaction.

Abstract

Manual, ledger-based recording still dominates library management in many pesantren, including at Pondok Pesantren Darunnajah Jakarta, where borrowing, returning, visitor registration, and collection management remain error-prone, hard to trace, and vulnerable to data loss. This study designs and develops a web-based library information system that digitizes these processes, using React JS for the front end, Node.js with Express JS for the back end, and a MySQL database managed through phpMyAdmin, with the RESTful API documented in Swagger UI. Where prior pesantren and school library systems were built mainly on PHP/Laravel/Bootstrap stacks, this study contributes a full-stack JavaScript implementation developed under the Waterfall model and validated through both black box testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). All eleven functional areas tested passed black box testing, and a Likert-scale UAT completed by 18 respondents (12 students, 3 teachers, 3 library staff) across 17 indicators produced a total score of 1,360 out of a maximum 1,700 (80.00%), placing the system in the “Good” category under Sugiyono's interpretation scale. These results indicate that the system operates in accordance with its functional specification and was well received by the users who evaluated it, because the sample was small and drawn from a single institution, the finding is best read as an indicative rather than a generalizable measure of acceptance.

Abstract

Village public information gaps can weaken citizens’ ability to participate in deliberation and oversee village programs. This program aimed to strengthen residents’ capacity to understand the right to public information, use information channels, and turn information into a basis for participation and oversight. It applied a participatory cycle consisting of initial assessment, focused group discussion, case-based information literacy, simulation of information requests and objections, development of simple information-service tools, formation of a citizen oversight forum, and reflection. Based on triangulated qualitative evidence, the program produced observable changes in knowledge, information use, and institutional arrangements. Participants became better able to distinguish village information categories and use information channels more systematically. Village officials, the village consultative body, and community representatives agreed to strengthen transparency through information boards, communication channels, and routine forums. The program formulates a 4K model channel certainty, comprehensibility, engagement, and sustainability—as a practical framework for participatory village governance.

Abstract

Background: Community-based child-growth monitoring requires reliable record management and transparent classification. Objective: This study documents a web-based Posyandu prototype for Mekar Jaya Village and replicates a four-class anthropometric classification experiment using an identifiable public dataset. Methods: The prototype used Laravel 10 and MySQL. A Kaggle dataset (version 2; 120,999 records) was analyzed using age, sex, and height. Stratified group-based splitting yielded 96,909 training and 24,090 untouched test records; identical predictor vectors were grouped, and random oversampling was restricted to training data. Random Forest (200 trees) and Gaussian Naive Bayes were compared on the same test set. Results: Random Forest achieved 98.89% accuracy (95% bootstrap CI: 98.76–99.02%), macro-F1 98.49%, and macro-recall 98.42%; Gaussian Naive Bayes achieved 49.63%, 41.42%, and 43.36%, respectively. Among 2,755 stunted test records, 40 were classified as Normal; none of the 3,961 severely stunted records was classified as Normal. Conclusion: The replication provides auditable evidence for reproducing dataset labels, while the web prototype demonstrates an application interface. The new results are not a verification of previously reported accuracies or evidence of local clinical validity; label provenance, local validation, and software acceptance testing remain necessary.
