Abstract

Background: The development of digital technology has significantly increased the number of online transactions in Indonesia. Despite this convenience, consumers still need to be aware of risks such as non-conforming goods, online fraud, late delivery, and the possibility of personal data leaks.Aims: This study aims to provide legal protection to consumers from problems arising from online transactions. Methods: The method used in this study is normative juridical, analyzing laws, scientific journals, and official documents related to online transactions and consumer protection.Result: The results of this study indicate that protection includes preventive and repressive measures. Preventive protection includes the obligation for business actors to provide accurate information, protect personal data, and ensure the security of electronic systems. Repressive protection is implemented by submitting complaints through internal marketplace services, resolving disputes with the Consumer Protection Agency (BPSK), filing civil lawsuits, and reporting criminal cases to the authorities. Conclusion: However, the implementation of these protections still faces various problems, such as poor oversight, lack of digital literacy, and limited effectiveness in problem-solving. Consequently, handling of emerging problems is less than significant. However, this research can also contribute to consumer protection policies in the current digital era.

Abstract

The Universitas Ma'soem Library  Universityhas undertaken various initiatives to improve user satisfaction, including the provision of professional librarians, the regular expansion of collections, the implementation of a computerized circulation system using the Online Public Access Catalog, and the development of a digital library. In 2025, the library recorded a total of 12,707 visits. Although this number indicates that the library is actively utilized by the academic community, visit statistics alone do not adequately reflect users’ satisfaction with the services provided. This study aims to examine the partial and simultaneous effects of librarians’ services, collections, and the utilization of information technology on user satisfaction at the Universitas Ma'soem Library. The study employed a quantitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, literature review, documentation study, and the distribution of questionnaires to library users. The data were analyzed using validity, reliability, and normality tests, as well as multiple correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, the coefficient of determination, t-tests, and F-tests. The results show that librarians’ services have a positive and significant effect on user satisfaction, contributing 64.0%; collections contribute 62.6%; and the utilization of information technology contributes 62.1%. Simultaneously, these three variables have a positive and significant effect on user satisfaction, with a combined contribution of 76.4%. The correlation analysis indicates a very strong relationship between librarians’ services, collections, and the utilization of information technology and user satisfaction. These findings suggest that improving user satisfaction requires strengthening the quality of librarians’ services, developing relevant collections, and optimizing library information technology.

Abstract

This study examines how QRIS adoption and fintech knowledge shape the quality of accounting information and financial decision-making among MSME actors in Setu District, Bekasi. A quantitative design was employed, with survey data gathered from 61 MSME respondents chosen through a sampling procedure and processed via multiple linear regression in SPSS. Findings indicate that both QRIS adoption and fintech knowledge exert a significant positive influence on accounting information quality as well as on financial decisions. In other words, greater reliance on digital payment tools together with a stronger grasp of fintech concepts tends to strengthen how MSME actors manage financial data and make business-related choices. What distinguishes this study is its incorporation of financial-processing indicators within the accounting information construct, contributing a fresh angle to accounting information systems research.

Abstract

This research investigates how product information quality, interactivity, and streamer credibility drive purchase decisions, with consumer trust serving as a mediating factor within the context of live-streaming broadcasts on the Skintific Official Store TikTok Shop channel. Adopting a quantitative design, primary data were gathered via structured questionnaires administered to consumers who had watched Skintific's live streams and subsequently purchased products through TikTok Shop. Given an infinite target population, the sample size was calculated using the Lemeshow formula, yielding 190 qualified participants selected through purposive sampling based on predetermined criteria. Data analysis was executed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. Findings show that information quality and streamer credibility significantly boost consumer trust, whereas interactivity does not. Furthermore, information quality, interactivity, and consumer trust directly enhance purchase decisions, while streamer credibility lacks a direct effect. Consumer trust successfully mediates the impacts of information quality and streamer credibility on purchase decisions, but fails to mediate interactivity. Ultimately, live-commerce brands should focus on accurate product information, credible hosts, and trust-building to drive sales.

Abstract

Despite the growing adoption of digital accounting applications, there is limited evidence on how technology readiness influences the acceptance of accounting information systems within village-owned enterprises. This study examines the readiness and acceptance of accounting information systems used for financial reporting in Indonesian village-owned enterprises, using the Technology Readiness and Acceptance Model (TRAM). Data were collected through an online survey of personnel from village-owned enterprises involved in financial reporting and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that perceived usefulness is the strongest determinant of intention to use accounting information systems. Optimism positively influences perceived usefulness, while innovativeness positively affects perceived ease of use. Interestingly, insecurity also positively affects perceived usefulness, suggesting that concerns about data security, transaction reliability, and information accuracy may increase users’ appreciation of accounting applications. In contrast, perceived ease of use does not significantly influence intention to use. These findings indicate that technology adoption in village-owned enterprises is driven primarily by perceived practical benefits rather than operational simplicity. The study extends the application of TRAM to village-owned enterprises and suggests that technology readiness may operate differently in accountability-oriented rural organizations. Practically, adoption initiatives should emphasize the benefits of accounting applications for reporting quality, efficiency, and accountability.

Abstract

Career information services are widely implemented in secondary schools to support students’ career decision-making; however, empirical evidence regarding their direct effectiveness remains inconclusive. This study examines the mediating role of career maturity in the relationship between career self-efficacy, parental social support, career information services, and career planning decisions among senior high school students. A quantitative cross-sectional design was employed with data collected from 200 students through validated and reliable questionnaires. Path analysis using LISREL was conducted to test direct and indirect effects. The findings reveal that career self-efficacy, parental social support, and career information services significantly predict career maturity. Career maturity shows the strongest direct effect on career planning decisions. Notably, career information services do not directly influence career planning decisions but exert a substantial indirect effect through career maturity. These results suggest that providing career information without strengthening students’ career maturity may limit the effectiveness of career guidance programs. This study contributes to career development literature by empirically demonstrating the central mediating function of career maturity in adolescents’ career decision-making and offers practical implications for school-based career guidance interventions.

Abstract

This study examined the effects of Accounting Information System (AIS) understanding and human resource quality on students’ financial reporting quality and tested the moderating role of human resource quality. An explanatory cross-sectional survey was conducted involving 150 accounting department students at Universitas Cenderawasih who had completed AIS coursework. Purposive sampling was applied and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). AIS understanding positively affected financial reporting quality (β=0.482, t=8.063, p<0.001), as did human resource quality (β=0.474, t=6.071, p<0.001). The interaction was not significant (β=0.009, t=0.232, p=0.817, f²=0.0004). The model explained 75.7% of the variance and showed positive predictive relevance. AIS understanding and human resource quality operated mainly as parallel direct capabilities rather than complementary moderators. The single-institution, cross-sectional design and the single-indicator final AIS construct limited generalizability and measurement breadth. The study extends AIS and reporting-quality research to accounting education in Papua and clarifies the boundary of competence-based moderation.

Abstract

Tanjung Gelam Village has various types of information related to village profiles, government administration, community activities, local potential, and public information that need to be delivered in an accessible and organized manner. However, the absence of an integrated digital information medium limited the accessibility and systematic dissemination of village information. This community service activity, conducted through the Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata/KKN), aimed to strengthen village information services through website digitalization while improving the capacity of village officials and community members to utilize digital information media. The activity was implemented through several stages, including observation and identification of partner needs, coordination with village officials, information collection and validation, website development and implementation, socialization, training, mentoring, and evaluation. The main output was a village profile website containing information on the village profile, government structure, news, community activities, local potential, documentation, and contact information. The website was developed using React and JavaScript, with Firebase supporting data management. The implementation results showed that the nine main website features tested functioned successfully, resulting in a 100% technical functionality rate. In addition to producing the digital information platform, the activity provided socialization, practical training, and mentoring for village officials and community members in utilizing the website and accessing village information. The activity therefore contributed not only to the availability of an integrated digital information medium but also to the transfer of knowledge and strengthening of the community partner's capacity to utilize digital technology for village information dissemination. The sustainability of the program depends on the continued involvement of the village government in managing and periodically updating the information provided through the website.

Abstract

Population administration services at the sub-district level still largely rely on direct interaction between citizens and officers at the sub-district office, creating distance and time barriers for residents who live far from the administrative center merely to inquire about document requirements. This study aims to design and implement an automated WhatsApp chatbot as a means of delivering administrative information in Tuntang Sub-district, Semarang Regency, covering services such as electronic ID cards, Family Cards, Child Identity Cards, Domicile Transfer Letters (internal, incoming, outgoing), and Certificates of Underprivileged Status. The study applies a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Waterfall development model, using Font as the WhatsApp webhook gateway, Google Apps Script as the backend logic processor through the doPost function, and Google Sheets as the keyword-and-answer database. Testing was conducted using Black-Box Testing on all menus and sub-menus, supported by an analysis of Google Apps Script execution logs to measure system stability and response speed. The results show that all functional scenarios performed as expected, with consistently successful execution status and an average response duration of approximately 2.17 seconds. The study concludes that a chatbot implementation built on free cloud services can serve as an efficient, low-cost, and easily replicable solution for other sub-district government agencies seeking to improve public information accessibility.
