Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) berbantuan Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) dan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan model Direct Instruction (DI). Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan Nonequivalen Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP N 1 Sukasada pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2018/2019 yang berjumlah 234 siswa. Sampel penelitian dipilih dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Didapatkan sebanyak dua kelas yaitu kelas VII F sebagai kelas eksperimen diterapkan model PBL berbantuan ICT dan kelas VII G sebagai kelas kontrol diterapkan model DI dengan jumlah 75 siswa. Data keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa diperoleh dengan metode tes bentuk uraian dengan jumlah 15 butir soal. Data keterampilan berpikir kritis dianalisis secara deskriptif dan menggunakan uji Anakova dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa: (1) Peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang belajar dengan model PBL berbantuan ICT peningkatannya berkualifikasi sedang (N gain = 0,69). Peningkatan Ketercapaian dimensi merumuskan masalah, memberikan argument,melakukan induksi, melakukan deduksi, melakukan evaluasi dan dimensi memutuskan dan melaksanakannya semuanya berkualifikasi sedang. (2) Terdapat perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa antara siswa yang belajar dengan model PBL bebantuan ICT dan model pembelajaran DI. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan oleh skor rata-rata posttest kelompok yang dibelajarkan dengan model PBL berbantuan ICT yaitu sebesar 77,33 sedangkan kelompok yang dibelajarkan dengan model DI yaitu sebesar 71,60.

Abstract

GIS application is an Android-based application that contains information about the user's location and user address located. The problem of finding information about the existence of a school location with the help of maps on internet facilities. The method of finding information with the GIS contained in this application includes a map as well as the location of Vocational High Schools in the Cirebon Region. Other information includes the address, telephone number and directions from the user's location to the destination school. This application is created using the Action Script programming language and the software uses Eclipse. Android is an operating system platform that is open or opensource. Android-based java programming language code that is multiplatform. Java-based application developers can freely build applications openly that can run on many Android-based devices. The results of this study are to provide information to Android device users about the location of Vocational Schools in the Cirebon Region.

Abstract

Geographyc Information System (GIS) is an information system that is applied to store, recall, enter, analyze, process, and produce data in the form of geographic data, used for decision making in support of a system development plan. The problem of finding information to find out the location of various places in an area with the help of smart phones. The use of smart phones in a growing community, then the idea arose to create an application called Find Your Futsal, which is an application about futsal field information based on the Geographyc Information System in the Tangerang area. Futsal has many benefits for the surrounding community. They can use the futsal field to support various futsal activities. The design method of this GIS application research application uses the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) research method. Started designing the displays in the application, designing the database used in making the application. Next start the application by coding with a predetermined programming language using the Android Studio application. Furthermore, it is compiled and implemented on Android-based mobile devices. The application of the results of this study is a geographic information system application futsal field in the city of Tangerang that is simple and easy to use. As well as GPS and maps as features in it.

Abstract

Geographic Information System (GIS) is an information system that performs geographic-based data visualization. The system performs mapping between various data points based on geographical location. Difficulties in mapping land in a region is the basis for the development of GIS applications for the detection of land. This system does not only detect vacant land in a region, but it also provides identification of land, and provides information about the size of the land, the land position, as well as access to nearby public facilities. The system is developed using a mobile platform as a value system that is more flexible and dynamic. For the analysis of the forecasting in an area uses a multiple regression method involving three independent variables, namely the use of dry land, the use of building land and land use. The results of the predictive forecasting provides location points of interest and public facilities located in the location which make it easy to give consideration in selecting a location which is appropriate to build.

Abstract

Information Systems Development as an information provider, both for the users and outsiders, becomes very important at this time. Through a good data management, it can minimize the need for human labor that is currently being replaced by computers. This paper will discuss a design for a blood transfusion information system because there are several issues found in the Blood Transfusion Service Unit (UPTD), some of which are donor data recording at the Blood Transfusion Service Unit which still use manual recording with a book, donors data stored in the book is not well organized, and there are blood donors who do not obey the blood donor regulation, reminder for blood donor level is 70 days and the screening result. This design can do managements which are needed when people want to donor their blood. The database in this system was designed using S-Designor, while the model design was designed using Rational Rose.

Abstract

Outbreaks or extraordinary events often become an issue that occurs in Indonesia. Therefore, an outbreak investigation information system is required to collect, manage and analyze data quickly and accurately. On the other hand, challenges in data accessing processes in certain locations are still constrained by a slow internet connection. This paper conducted speed increase of a page load or site speed time from disease outbreaks investigation information system website.Page load time speed testing was carried out using Google Chrome Developer Tools and using simulation speeds of 2.5 Mbps. Testing time was carried out by dividing the time into three sections, morning hours, working hours and night hours. Implementation of page load time increase includes reducing HTTP requests, utilizing GZIP compression, performing code minification, setting browser chache, using CDN, and using other enhancement techniques.The results showed that after implementing an increase in page load time by turning off cache and using cache, there was an increase in site speed. When the browser cache was turned off, an average page load time increased of 54.79% from the previous time. Whereas when using the browser cache, page load time speed increased by 55.28% from the previous time.

Abstract

Development of microprocessor technology provides new ideas for creating smart devices, one of which is in the field of smart home. Smart home is a concept of a home integrated with a smart system and supported by technology that enables all work to be more effective and efficient. Mirror is a household device that is beneficial to humans. In this paper, a research on smart mirrors is explained. A smart mirror is a mirror integrated with an intelligent system so that it can display multimedia data originating from the internet using Raspberry as a computing tool, PIR sensor as a tool to control monitors, and DC fans as a tool to control temperature system. In this paper, the mirror was able to display information about time, weather, academic calendar, lab work schedules, prayer schedules, and academic news. A PIR sensor has a good accuracy when the device is placed at 180 cm above the ground and the distance between mirror and humans when mirroring is 70 cm. A DC fan was utilized to stabilize the system temperature in a range of 40 to 50 oC.

Abstract

Abstract— Prof. Soeparwi Veterinary Hospital is one of veterinary medical service providers in Yogyakarta ad Central Java areas in which the transaction and the documentation managing process is still done manually. Therefore, Prof. Soeparwi VH needs a management information system that facilitate them in managing process and documentation of transactions, one of which is through billing or billing subsystem. This subsystem was designed using UML and was developed in a form of web-based prototype using PHP and HTML languages as well as CSS with CodeIgniter framework and MySQL for database.  The development of this billing subsystem applied a Rapid Application Development (RAD) model process that focused on the working model and obtained feedback from users to improve the system. Results of this system's development were evaluated with a system feasibility test and functionality test. A system feasibility test was administered by distributing Likert scale questionnaire and analysed them based on a summated rating scale method which showed a result of 85.4%. That result indicates that users strongly agree that the system has met their needs.  The system functionality was tested using a black box method and the result was that the system properly functioned. This billing subsystem could process transaction bills automatically included in the calculation. This system produced bills and reports that could be printed and exported. In addition, data was stored in a database so that it supported paperless documentation.

Abstract

Every product which launched would definitely need a promotion to introduce its products to the society. In the promotion itself, there are various strategies and media to support product promotion. Multimedia is one of the media promotion which is widely used to help in providing information towards products. Flashcards is one of the edugame products which serves to sharpen children’s ability in various aspects such as motoric, visual, and verbal, and encourage children to be more proactive. Besides, flashcards can also become medium for the parents to be more involved and interact with their children. In the product "flashcard little learner", one of the promotional media used is multimedia. Multimedia Media is used since it is an effective means to help deliver message to the audience. This research discusses the effect of multimedia as a means of delivering information and promotion towards products, especially edugame flashcard products.

Abstract

Mathematics Study Program, Department of Mathematics FMIPA UNHAS as the State Higher Education Institution makes a Community Service activity as a form of caring for the environment, especially in improving Human Resources (HR) for high school teachers in mathematics studies in Enrekang Regency. The Regional Science and Technology Community Service Program (IbW) is one solution for the problem. This IbW program is a series of activities of Hasanuddin University's 62nd Anniversary which has been carried out in the Hall of SMA 1 Enrekang 1 in Anggeraja District, Enrekang Regency. The partners involved were 14 schools at the SMA/SMK/MAN level in Enrekang Regency with a total participants is a varied school with a total of 40 teachers. The purpose of this Community Service implementation was to SMA Mathematics Teachers in Enrekang Regency to increase their passion to teach them to be more varied focused on visualization so that mathematics looks more real. Some science and technology packages that have been implemented are: 1). Microsoft Excel software, 2). Maple software and 3). Geogebra Software. The results of this activity can improve the competence of mathematics teachers in the enrichment of subjects to their students.
