Abstract

Culture shock is still a problem for foreign students and BIPA teachers, both during the learning process and outside of learning. This happens because there is no in-depth knowledge and adequate preparation related to cultural differences between countries so that misunderstandings often occur between students and between students and teachers. Therefore, strengthening Cross Cultural Understanding (CCU) learning is important to provide in-depth knowledge for BIPA teachers or students. This learning can be packaged very attractively using media that are in great demand by today's BIPA teachers and students. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of YouTube as a medium for strengthening CCU learning for BIPA students. Data collection was carried out through the distribution of a questionnaire instrument containing short questions to BIPA students. Instruments are created with the help of Google Forms. AbstrakGegar budaya masih menjadi sebuah problematika bagi pelajar asing maupun pengajar BIPA, baik saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung maupun saat di luar pembelajaran. Hal tersebut terjadi karena belum adanya pengetahuan mendalam dan persiapan yang cukup terkait perbedaan budaya antar negara sehingga sering kali terjadi kesalahpahaman antar pelajar maupun antar pelajar dengan pengajar. Oleh karena itu, penguatan pembelajaran Cross Cultural Understanding (CCU) penting untuk memberikan pengetahuan yang mendalam bagi pengajar ataupun pelajar BIPA. Pembelajaran tersebut dapat dikemas dengan sangat menarik menggunakan media yang banyak diminati oleh pengajar dan pelajar BIPA masa kini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan implementasi YouTube sebagai media penguatan pembelajaran CCU bagi pelajar BIPA. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran instrumen angket yang berisi pertanyaan singkat kepada pelajar BIPA. Instrumen dibuat dengan bantuan Google Form.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar BIPA madya terintegrasi kearifan lokal. Jenis penelitian ini adalah R&D dengan model ADDIE analyze (analisis), design (perancangan), development (pengembangan), implementation (implementasi), dan evaluation (evaluasi). Namun, dalam penelitian ini peneliti hanya sampai pada tahap development (pengembangan). Analyze (analisis) berisi analisis peneliti dari silabus, sumber belajar, dan kebutuhan pembelajar BIPA sebelum membuat rancangan bahan ajar. Design (perancangan) berisi rancangan bahan ajar yang berupa prototype bahan ajar, desain bahan ajar yang berupa desain sampul, dan header footer. Development (pengembangan) berisi draft awal dan draft hasil revisi. Format bahan ajar mencakup pendahuluan, kegiatan inti, dan penutup. Bahan ajar ini disajikan terintegrasi kearifan lokal Jawa Timur dengan berfokus pada makanan khas Jawa Timur. Hasil penelitian ini adalah proses pengembangan dan kualitas bahan ajar. Data diperoleh dari instrumen penilaian oleh ahli pembelajaran BIPA. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik kualitatif. Kualitas bahan ajar dapat dilihat dari hasil validator 1 diperoleh hasil presentase 83,7% dan validator 2 diperoleh hasil presentase 97,3%. Rata rata akhir dari validator 1 dan 2 adalah 90,55%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar terintegrasi kearifan lokal layak digunakan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan mendeskripsikan unsur-unsur budaya yang terdapat pada salah satu cerpen Indonesia yang berjudul Kutukan Keturunan Bajak Laut karya Bagus Sulistio sebagai materi ajar Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (BIPA) level C1 dan C2. Subjek penelitian ini adalah cerpen yang berjudul Kutukan Keturunan Bajak Laut karya Bagus Sulistio. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan fenomena secara sistematis yaitu unsur kebudayaan sebagai materi ajar BIPA. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik baca-catat, studi kepustakaan, dan kartu data. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa cerpen Kutukan Keturunan Bajak Laut karya Bagus Sulistio mengandung unsur-unsur kebudayaan berupa bahasa, sistem pengetahuan, sistem mata pencaharian, sistem religi dan kesenian. Unsur kebudayaan dapat dijadikan sebagai materi ajar maupun sebagai pengenalan budaya terutama budaya maritim sebagai penunjang keterampilan berbahasa pemelajar BIPA.

Abstract

Language errors in language learning also occur in BIPA students (Indonesian for foreign speakers). The mistakes made are mostly because the structure of the language being studied is different from the language of origin of the learner's country. Analysis of language errors is an effort made to correct language errors made by BIPA students to find out the factors that cause errors made by students, correct errors and prevent language errors from occurring. Descriptive qualitative research method. The data sourced from the research are BIPA level 3 students at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) in 2022  totaling 21 students while the research data is written language errors in the recount text of BIPA students. Data collection techniques in the form of assignment techniques, reading and note-taking techniques. Furthermore, the data analysis techniques are (1) Identifying errors, (2) Classifying errors, 3) Describing the level of errors, and (4) Evaluating errors. The results of the study showed data on language errors, namely (1) syntax level errors as much as 32%, (2) semantic level errors 26%, (3) morphological level errors 22% and spelling level errors 16%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan adanya tindak tutur dalam bahasa Indonesia oleh pemelajar BIPA di Muslim Santitham Fundation School Thailand. Data diperoleh pada saat pembelajaran BIPA di Muslim Santitham Fundation School Thailand. Data diambil secara langsung dari lapangan dengan teknik simak dan catat. Simak digunakan untuk mengetahui data tindak tutur dalam pembelajaran BIPA. Catat digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data tuturan dari pemelajar BIPA. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan pragmatik bahasa antara. Data dianalisis dengan prespektif pragmatik untuk memperoleh faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan perbedaan pada tindak tutur dalam bahasa Indonesia oleh pemelajar BIPA. Hasil analisis data ditemukan bahwa ada empat faktor tindak tutur, yaitu ragam formal dan informal, pemilihan strategi tutur, pemilihan formula semantik, dan pemilihan pronomina persona.

Abstract

This study aims to produce learning materials for writing scientific articles for foreign students using the hybrid learning approach. This approach was chosen by utilizing the advantages of offline classes combined with online classes. This approach is in accordance with the characteristics of students as millennials. The development research method used consists of product design, product design, production, and product testing. The end result is learning materials to write scientific articles that are packaged in the form of modules, starting from the debriefing of concepts (f2f), planning of writing (f2f), writing a draft (ol), and editing the draft (f2f) writing process-genre based scientific articles with a hybrid learning approach for foreign students

Abstract

Abstract: Language related to culture. Like other languages, Indonesian language is also heavily influenced by local cultures. For this reason, as a BIPA teaching strategy, it must also introduce cultures in Indonesia. Materials that can be introduced for this purpose are local color literature in the form of poetry and prose, both novels and short stories. Many local colors in Indonesian literature have been found since the birth of Indonesian literature. In addition to describing the local colors of Minangkabau, various local colors of other regions enrich the Indonesian literary repertoire. The local color literature that can be used is a collection of Terang Bulang Terang di Kali short stories : Keliling Betawi story (2007) by S.M. Ardan. The use of local colors not only introduces Indonesian culture but also increases language skills especially to expand the vocabulary of the Indonesian language. In addition they will enjoy the beauty and capture the message conveyed in the form of the literary work. Thus, teaching BIPA will be fun and useful as well as the function of the literature itself which is dulce et utile, pleasant and useful. Keywords: sastra, warna lokal, strategi pengajaran, BIPA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan pembentukan bahasa Indonesia tulis mahasiswa BIPA di Universitas Lampung. Secara khusus tujuan penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut: (1) mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk kesalahan penggunaan imbuhan (afiksasi) dan pengulangan (reduplikasi), (2) mendeskripsikan kesalahan pembentukan kata berdasarkan taksonomi siasat permukaan, dan (3) mendeskripsikan kesalahan pembentukan kata berdasarkan taksonomi efek komunikatif. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data adalah mahasiswa BIPA di Universitas Lampung. Data penelitian berupa kesalahan pembentukan kata bahasa Indonesia tulis mahasiswa BIPA dalam kegiatan pembelajaran BIPA di Universitas Lampung. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan prosedur analisis kesalahan berbahasa berdasarkan taksonomi siasat permukaan dan taksonomi efek komunikatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kesalahan pembentukan kata bahasa Indonesia tulis mahasiswa BIPA di Universitas Lampung didominasi oleh pembentukan kata dengan menggunakan imbuhan, yakni sebesar 78%, sedangkan 22% sisanya berupa kesalahan penggunaan reduplikasi; (2) berdasarkan taksonomi siasat permukaan ditemukan bahwa kesalahan penambahan sebesar 33%,  kesalahan penghilangan sebesar 39%, dan kesalahan pembentukan sebesar 28%; (3) berdasarkan taksonomi efek komunikatif ditemukan kesalahan lokal sebesar 65% dan kesalahan global sebesar 35%.

Abstract

Thai student responses to Indonesian online learning with native speakers. The problem in this research is how Thai learners respond to learning Indonesian (BIPA) online with native speakers. And how is the online learning process provided by teachers and guest lecturers from STKIP PGRI West Sumatra, UPI Language Center, BPK Penabur School with the theme of learning is about introductions, family, and about the song Indonesia Raya. The purpose of conducting this research is to obtain an overview of how the response of Thai learners who study at NU to learning Indonesian online taught by natives. The method in this study uses two forms of research methods, namely the first library research method and the second with descriptive analysis with the technique used is to observe and give questionnaires to respondents and teachers about how to respond and their satisfaction in learning Indonesian natively. . The results show that this learning process improves Indonesian learning outcomes and increases the number of vocabulary it gets. As well as the response of Thai students who interact with natives shows the character of speaking well, by repeating the same theme twice at different times to practice speaking with Indonesians

Abstract

In the effort to introducing and consolidating Indonesian language to the world and ASEAN level, there are a few of options but teaching and mastering Bahasa Indonesia (BI). Through the teaching of Bahasa indonesia for foreign speaker (BIPA), it can be a media of language and culture diplomacy and brings indonesian language as lingua franca in ASEAN community, as happen in Thailand. Therefore, some efforts need to be done in order to realize that through the teaching of BIPA. to increase the interest in learning BI in abroad, to improve the image of the Indonesia as a nation and make BI as Lingua franca, which 1.System BIPA teaching abroad, 2) the material of BIPA, the BIPA learning is not always teach people about the language but also includes material about the culture and Indonesian literature. 3) the purposes of teaching BIPA, to prepare Indonesian language tobe lingua franca in the Asean community.
