Abstract

The implementation of credit transfer at Universitas Terbuka refers to the Rector's Regulation Number 119, 2018. This credit transfer could only be carried out once when students registered themselves at very first time. Recognition of credit transfer is accepted whn accomplishment of courses have been obtained from their previous universities. Through the provision of credit transfer recognition services, students are expected to be able to finish their study faster. Students can apply for credit transfer through the Faculty which would then be proceed by Study Program. Students are required to collect documents such as diplomas, transcripts, descriptions of courses at their previous university, and the submissions for courses intended to be transferred for credit. The documents which are in form of print out would later be processed in their respective Study Programs. During the process, the Study Program compiled the documents manually by recording and determining the courses approved for credit transfer. However, the study Program hasn’t used a special application. Due to this limitation, several problems occurred in the process, such as the absence of filing the credit transfer application documents, the ineffectiveness of storing the credit transfer master block in the Study Program, and the large number of credit transfer applications. These problems often result in delays in the credit transfer process, thus disrupting academic services for students. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a credit transfer application that can assist in the implementation of credit transfer in the Faculty of Science and Technology. The methodology used to develop this credit transfer application is the waterfall model. For design modeling using UML (Unified Modeling Language), while software testing uses Black Box Testing and usability and acceptance tests applied the PSSUQ (Post-Study System Usability Questionnaire) method. From the results of the tests, it showed that Black Box Testing got test results of 100%, while the usability and acceptance tests using the PSSUQ method got 68% of respondents. The conclusion of this study showed that the application is ready to use and the users Agree/Good/Like on the development of a web-based credit transfer application at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the Universitas Terbuka (case study of Information Systems Study Program). Kata kunci: Credit transfer, Web, Waterfall, , Black Box Testing, PSSUQ.

Abstract

The development of technology is an inseparable part of human life. Through its development,  technology furthermore produces various reliable tools to assist people in many ways. The technological applications can be in the forms of Google products such as  Google Classroom, Google Form, and Google meet, and also other applications such as Zoom Cloud Meeting, Microsoft Teams  intended to solve various kinds of problems including education field. These technological advancements are popularly used and are indeed very helpful in learning, but sometimes it can’t be hindered that technological applications are not always in accordance with the needs. For example, the practicum learning process in the Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology, Open University, which has no practical application yet. This is because the existing applications are not in accordance with the learning process at the Open University. So, the solution that must be done is to develop an online practicum application (Praton) in the Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Science and Technology of the Open University. The process of developing a practicum application also cannot be done immediately, so at least there must be an application development design first. Application development design must go through several stages using a software development model. One of the models that can be used is the waterfall model with an object-based approach or commonly referred to as UML (Unified Modeling Language). The results of this software development design are in the form of a software design document and will be sent to a programmer to establish the application. With this application design, programmers will know more about the specifications of online practicum applications that suit the needs of learning process.

Abstract

Pedan City is a sub-district city located in the Klaten Regency area and has always been a culinary tourism object for tourists or residents in the Pedan area and its surroundings. The main problem that arises is when there are more and more culinary attractions in the city of Pedan sub-district, but there is less detailed information about these culinary attractions. The main objevtive of this work is to provide location information tourism in the Pedan area easily and simply because it can be operated anywhere the user is using an android-based mobile device. The method used in this research is the Waterfall method. The results of the study are expected to increase culinary tourism in the city of Klaten district, especially Pedan sub-district, as well as interest for tourists or residents in the city of Pedan sub-district to be interested in visiting culinary tourism objects in the Pedan city area

Abstract

The purpose of this service is to provide understanding and training of web applications for students to be able to implement web applications into tourism applications. Furthermore, to search for accommodation locations, there are directions for walking using GIS. Furthermore, the GIS application is implemented for locating services on mobile devices and can be accessed via web and mobile networks. The problem with this service is that students do not understand how to make web-based tourism destination applications that produce Location Based Service on web devices and then help to find information and tourism locations from the user's starting point location to the route that can be taken to the tourism location. Furthermore, the use of web media as a medium to find hotel information combined using a web-based mobile application which is a Location Based Service (LBS) according to the user's location to get the location and route to the destination hotel location quickly and easily. The results of this service are students can understand how to make web in applying the web by searching for tourism places by having several main views, namely finding the location of the closest tourism place according to the user's location. Thus this system will make it easier for users or the public to see tourism locations and help the Aceh Culture and Tourism Office in increasing the number of tourism visitors so that it can indirectly increase regional income, especially in the Aceh area.

Abstract

Actually,  Sawang is the largest sub-district in North Aceh, ±38,465 ha or 11.67% of the total area of North Aceh. Consists of thirty nine villages. 3,449 ha are paddy fields and 35,016 ha are non-paddy fields. The use of non-rice field land is usually used by the surrounding community for gardens, forests, and ponds of 27,997 ha. In order to support government programs in improving people's welfare and creating job opportunities, it can be done by developing the potential of agriculture and plantations. Therefore, integrated and complete information is needed regarding the characteristics of land in North Aceh, especially Sawang Sub - District, which is suitable for planting certain types of plants in support of optimal and sustainable land use policies. The purpose of this study is to analyze the nature of the land that is suitable for use as an agricultural area or plantation of superior commodities. The specific purpose of the research is to provide recommendations to local governments to determine policies for the use of vacant land with appropriate plant types. The research steps include preliminary studies, identification of superior commodities, mapping of vacant land, testing of land suitability parameters, determination of land suitability, policy recommendations. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, the researchers conclude that cocoa is considered the most appropriate plant among several other options, referring to the results of several parameters and observations that have been made, either through spatial studies based on mapping techniques, using special software, or the study of chemical elements, as a support for plant growth, through the results of laboratory tests that have been carried out by the research team.

Abstract

The use of Information Technology (IT) in higher education is said to be useful if its application is in accordance with the vision and mission of the organization. Academic information system audit is a method of assessing or assessing academic information systems to ensure that the governance and management functions of the information system are implemented properly. Unimal is a university that has implemented information technology in its operational processes. In achieving the organization's vision, the use of IT in the organization must always be monitored so that the services provided to users can be maximized, including by conducting an audit process to identify the level of IT maturity so that IT management can find solutions from processes that are considered less than optimal. This study aims to measure the level of capability of Unimal Academic Information Technology using COBIT 5 Domain APO (Align, Plan, and Organise) in the APO01, APO02, APO04 and APO11 processes. The focus of the research is also based on the need for priority processes in the Malikussaleh University environment and research related to the APO domain has not been carried out. The purpose of this study in general is to analyze Academic Information Technology using the COBIT 5 framework in the APO domain at the Malikussaleh University, as well as to provide solutions for improving academic information technology and IT implementation at the Malikussaleh University.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to facilitate consumers in finding partners who sell herbal products from CV. Rinjani Tirta which is in East Lombok.Where the company is engaged in herbal products and has more than 86 products. In fact, it is one of the companies that has obtained a BPOM permit in East Lombok and has been recommended by the BPOM to continue to participate in activities held by the BPOM and the government related to permits, seminars, and product exhibitions The use of a Geographic Information System (GIS) can help provide information on the data collection of partners working with companies. The author researched with several stages, namely information gathering, planning, development of initial product formats, initial product trials, field trials, product revisions, and final results. The location of the research is CV. Rinjani Tirta located in the village of Ajani Timur, Suralaga subdistrict. The results of this study are very helpful CV. Rinjani Tirta in promotion and gathering information about partners and areas that have been widely spread and make it easier for consumers to find herbal products. Besides, to streamline the work of employees and of course indirect promotions from partners.

Abstract

The availability of endogenous energy resources in the province of Manabí can play an important role in achieving a diverse and sustainable territorial energy matrix. This research work shows the results of the project called geographic information system for sustainable development through the use of renewable energy sources. For the management of the project database, the geographic information system was used, and the information analysis took into account the works published in the main international databases on the use of renewable sources, planning energy, decision-making, and local development. The work allows revealing the energy potential that the territory of Manabí has in terms of the availability of renewable energy sources using the geographic information system, which can help in the decision-making process that contributes to the achievement of a diverse and sustainable territorial energy matrix.

Abstract

One of the significant techniques for hiding important information (such as text, image, and audio) is steganography. Steganography is used to keep this information as secret as possible, especially the sensitive ones after the massive expansion of data transmission through the Internet inside a conventional, non-secret, file, or message. This paper uses the American standard code for information interchange (ASCII) mapping technique (AMT) to hide the data in the color and grey image by converting it in a binary form, also convert the three levels of the red, green, and blue (RGB) image and grey image in the binary form, and then hide the data through hiding every two bits of the text in the two bits of one of the levels from the RGB image and grey image that means the text will be distributed throughout the images and allows hiding large amounts of data. That will send the information in a good securing way.

Abstract

Smart farming in various worlds is not just about applying technology in terms of storing data on agricultural land. However, having a concept of measurable data based on available computational techniques trained and then generating knowledge. As an application, the agri drone sprayer can be used for the process of applying pesticides and liquid fertilizers on each side. In addition, drone surveillance is also useful in implementing smart farming such as mapping land so that farmers will know the condition of their agricultural land. However, the soil and weather sensor will also help the farmers to monitor the farmland as well. Devices with sensors can only obtain data in the form of air and soil humidity, temperature, soil pH, water content and forecasting the harvest period. So that the smart farming model can help farmers to get recommendations, in preventing the predicted damage to their land and crops. However, according to its geographical location, the application of smart farming can be a smart solution to agricultural problems in Indonesia and make the future of Indonesian Agriculture a technology-based smart agriculture.
