Abstract

This study aims to describe and explore the achievement of competencies in information literacy and collaboration skills as part of 21st century competency in accounting education students at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS). The respondents of this study were 207 students with a mixed method approach through convergent parallel design. The results of the study showed that most students had information literacy skills but were still relatively low. This can be seen from students who had mostly used the internet, but did not use trusted sources. This condition is exacerbated by students not filtering and validating the information so that the information submitted tends to be biased, only a few used credible journals as a reference while the rest used sources whose information credibility was still doubtful. In collaboration skills, the achievement of this competency varies between students who are active in campus organizations, non-campus organizations, and do not follow any organization. Those who were active in the organization seem to be better at mastering this competency. This can be seen in the aspect of contributions in groups and accepting responsibility. Courage to accept new responsibilities was not fully owned, some were still hesitant to accept the responsibility given to him for various reasons, especially those classified as inactive organizations. In this aspect, it appears that students who were active in non-campus organizations considered a mandatory task to be disliked. Whereas in the aspect of collective responsibility, students both active and non-active in organizations had the same competencies where they wanted and were able to work together in teams.

Abstract

The process of receiving zakat is very sensitive because zakat receipts are included in the category of financial management that needs to be accounted for in reporting. DKM Baiturrahman Mosque is one of the institutions that carry out the process of receiving zakat, where the process of receiving zakat is carried out and managed using a manual or conventional system, reporting recapitulation still uses the manual method so that data recording still has several weaknesses such as vulnerability to data loss, data search that takes time quite a long time and poor data accuracy. Therefore, it is necessary to build an information system for zakat management by using a good information technology. This application is called SIPEZAK (Sistem Informasi Pengelolaan Zakat). The development of this website-based zakat management application is built using the waterfall model approach. With this information system, it is hoped that it will help the process of receiving zakat, distributing and reporting zakat funds to be more effective and efficient

Abstract

As the main reference to poverty alleviation in Indonesia, the policy of integrated welfare data management by the Ministry of Social Affairs still contains many inaccuracies. This has an impact on beneficiary groups as the target of the implementation of national programs on poverty reduction. This study shows how Integrated Social Welfare Data management by the local government in Gunungkidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta, can solve the inaccuracy. The analysis was conducted with qualitative methods, based on actor-network theory. Data collection, verification, and validation are processed by integrating Village Information System (SID BERDAYA) and Regency Information System (SIKAB) in Gunungkidul at the local level, with the Social Welfare Information System - Next Generation (SIKS-NG) by the Ministry of Social Affairs in national level. This integration is needed to improve the quality of data accuracy and validity. Strengthening the participation and transparency of social interaction between government agencies at every level (from the village level to the national level) and the community people are important since communities are the beneficiaries. These processes will develop a reflective scheme, to make sure the quality of planning and development program on poverty alleviation is running with accurate and valid data.

This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study research on alumni of the Library and Information Science Study Program Universitas Brawijaya. Then the selection of alumni as informants considers the impact after writing the thesis is completed. The results of the study indicate that the alumni reflection on the experience of writing a thesis shows that there is a learning process from the process of submitting a title, searching for data to processing data. The learning process begins independently by focusing on the process of implementing alumni information literacy skills. Then there is the information management process which is the most important part because the process affects the decision-making for each action. In addition, the learning process becomes more complex by involving other parties. Or more simply, the involvement of other parties is the role of the thesis as a forum for collaborative learning in forming new understandings that can be useful across generations.

Abstract

The research aimed to develop a model for managing change consisting of detailed processes and activities that include changes in technology, organizations, and individuals in the implementation of information systems. The change management model developed in the research was used as a guideline for managing changes that occur when implementing changes in information systems in higher education. This change management model was developed using the action research method to obtain a model that fits the practical conditions. The model included the process and details of activities which were obtained in two ways, namely by identifying the success factors of implementing information systems in previous studies and interviewing information system implementers in tertiary institutions to obtain practical change management activities. The proposed change management model has been verified and validated where the results show that the process in the model is in accordance with expert theory. The results of using this model indicate that the management of changes in information systems can be carried out in a clearer and more structured.
