Abstract

Information technology (IT) has become a key element in the development of the financial industry, including Islamic banking. A primary challenge for IT management in Islamic banks is data security from cybercrime, which can damage the bank’s reputation and customer trust. This study aims to further examine the challenges and efforts that Islamic banks can undertake to enhance IT security. The research methodology uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods and literature review to describe the phenomenon in depth based on data and information from various relevant literature sources. The study’s findings show that Islamic banks need to strengthen security through encryption, continuous monitoring, and employee training on cybersecurity. The conclusion of this study recommends that Islamic banks continue to raise awareness among employees and customers about security risks and ensure regulatory compliance. This research is expected to serve as a reference for Islamic banks in maintaining information security in the digital era.

Abstract

This study examines the security of academic information systems using the COBIT 5 Framework. Key issues are uncertainty in protecting student and staff data, the potential for cyberattack vulnerabilities, and non-compliance with international security standards. The goal is to evaluate the security level of the system and suggest improvement recommendations according to COBIT 5 principles. Research methods include Renstar IT policy analysis, system audits, and interviews with IT personnel and related academic communities. Data is analyzed quantitatively to identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvement. The COBIT 5 framework is used as a security assessment framework. The results highlight the need for improvement, including access management, activity monitoring, and continuous improvement plans. Using COBIT 5, substantial measures such as strengthening access controls and developing disaster recovery plans can be identified. The research emphasizes the importance of a structured approach in improving the security of academic information systems, with COBIT 5 as a useful tool. With the right measures, system security can be enhanced to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of critical data for educational institutions. In conclusion, these measures demonstrate how important COBIT 5 implementation is in addressing information security challenges in academic environments.

Abstract

The importance of the process of evaluating information system security for a company, organization, or government agency whose goal is to carry out early detection of information leaks and even disruption of information systems. In this research conducted at SMKN 1 SRAGI LAMSEL. The research being conducted was to determine the level of readiness and governance of information security based on ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standardization by using tools, namely the KAMI Information Security Index Version 4.2. In this research the method used to carry out the data collection process is to make direct observations on the objects used as research and questions and answers with the IT department that handles related information systems. Based on the research conducted, it was found that the maturity level of information security is that at the level of need for electronic devices, a score of 20 points is in line with the high KAMI index and is still Level I to Level II. Even though the result of the readiness assessment has a value of 245, this is a safety level of 1 which applies to SMKN 1 SRAGI LAMSEL. To achieve a qualification level in accordance with the ISO/IEC 27001: 2013 standard, SMKN 1 SRAGI LAMSEL must improve information security internally and externally, in this case external parties, and carry out security assessments on an ongoing and continuous basis.

Abstract

The GreatDay attendance information system application is an attendance app that facilitates the automatic and real-time recording of employee attendance, both online and offline, with support for features such as facial recognition (Face Recognition). This study aims to evaluate the security of the GreatDay attendance information system using the NIST framework, which includes audit planning, system identification, risk assessment, implementation of security controls, and testing the effectiveness of controls. To ensure that the system functions optimally and securely, an information system security audit is needed using the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) framework. NIST provides guidelines for auditing information system security to identify potential risks and threats, as well as to evaluate the implementation of appropriate security controls. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the attendance information system is at level 3, indicating that the procedures and controls set by the institution have been implemented. This conclusion is based on the overall security audit assessment, which scored 3.7005 out of 5.   Keywords: Attendance Information System, GreatDay, NIST, System Security, Audit, Face Recognition.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi (TI) di era digital telah mendorong transformasi yang signifikan dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan manusia. Namun, pesatnya perkembangan TI juga menghadirkan tantangan baru, terutama dalam hal keamanan data pribadi. Ancaman kejahatan siber (cybercrime), seperti peretasan, phishing, dan pencurian data, semakin meningkat, mengancam privasi individu dan keamanan data bisnis. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memganalisis bagaimana perkembangan teknologi dan keamanan data pribadi serta tantangan yang dihadapi dalam melindungi data pribadi di tengah ancaman kejahatan siber yang semakin berkembang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kasus. Penelitian ini menggunakan sumber data sekunder. Data dikumpulkan dari hasil studi literasi atau kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Survei kuantitatif menggunakan Google Formulir dilakukan dengan melibatkan sejumlah responden. Hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa 62% responden tidak pernah mengalami kejahatan dunia maya, sementara 37% responden melaporkan pernah menjadi korban. Bentuk kejahatan yang paling sering dilaporkan termasuk peretasan akun media sosial seperti Facebook dan Instagram, penipuan melalui pesan teks, pembajakan nomor telepon, dan serangan phishing. Responden menanggapi insiden ini dengan berbagai cara, seperti menghubungi orang-orang terdekat mereka, menghapus akun yang diretas, melaporkan masalah ke platform yang relevan, atau tidak mengambil tindakan sama sekali. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menekankan pentingnya edukasi masyarakat tentang keamanan data pribadi sebagai langkah untuk melindungi.

Abstract

Rekam medis adalah catatan kesehatan yang memenuhi persyaratan peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku, dan informasi pasien harus dirahasiakan oleh petugas pelayanan kesehatan. Berkembangnya teknologi informasi di bidang kesehatan, Rekam Medis Elektronik (RME) menjadi solusi penting. Namun, penggunaan RME harus mematuhi prinsip keamanan data, termasuk kerahasiaan, integritas, dan ketersediaan, untuk melindungi data dari akses ilegal. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memperkuat pemahaman petugas rekam medis dan tim IT di RSI Sultan Agung mengenai pentingnya aspek keamanan informasi dalam penerapan RME. Kegiatan dilakukan pada bulan Juli 2024 dengan melibatkan 10 peserta, terdiri dari petugas rekam medis dan tim IT, melalui metode Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Diskusi dan edukasi terkait analisis enam prinsip keamanan informasi disampaikan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta memiliki pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang prinsip keamanan informasi, serta meningkatkan kesadaran mereka akan pentingnya menjaga kerahasiaan dan integritas data pasien dalam sistem RME. Kegiatan pengabdian ini berhasil mencapai tujuannya dengan meningkatkan pemahaman dan komitmen petugas dalam menerapkan prinsip-prinsip keamanan informasi. Dengan demikian, diharapkan penerapan RME di RSI Sultan Agung dapat berlangsung dengan lebih aman dan efisien. Kata Kunci: keamanan informasi, RME, data

Abstract

Adapun tujuan utama dari research paper ini yaitu untuk menganalisis bagaimana Keamanan data perusahaan menjadi aspek penting yang harus diperhatikan di era digital saat ini.Ketika ancaman dunia maya menjadi lebih kompleks dan canggih, bisnis memerlukan sistem yang dapat memantau dan memastikan keamanan data secara keseluruhan.Cara efektif untuk mencapai hal ini adalah dengan menerapkan Sistem Informasi Audit (SIA).SIA memungkinkan bisnis untuk memantau aktivitas dalam sistem informasi mereka, mendeteksi potensi ancaman, dan mengidentifikasi kerentanan keamanan dengan cepat dan akurat.Melalui mekanisme verifikasi otomatis terstruktur, bisnis dapat menjaga integritas, ketersediaan, dan kerahasiaan data. Penelitian ini menjelaskan konsep dasar sistem keamanan database , jenis sistem keamanan database, dan teknologi terkini yang tersedia untuk meningkatkan keamanan database.Diuraikan juga bahaya yang dapat timbul jika sistem keamanan database tidak dijaga dengan baik, dan strategi untuk mengatasi masalah keamanan database.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk lebih memahami pentingnya menjaga keamanan database bagi organisasi dan Perusahaan.Penulisan paper ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif serta juga menggunakan Teknik study literatur yang dimana penulis ini meninjau beberapa hasil penelitian dari penelitian atau paper sebelumnya yang telah di publish,sehingga dapat menghasilkan sebuah kerangka teori baru yang didapat dari hasil mereview beberapa artikel/jurnal yang berhubungan dengan paper ini.Hasil penelitian ini juga didapat bahwa penerapan SIA tidak hanya memperkuat sistem keamanan data, namun juga meningkatkan kepatuhan terhadap peraturan dan standar keamanan yang berlaku.Selain itu, SIA juga dapat meminimalkan risiko penyalahgunaan data oleh pihak internal dan eksternal.Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan SIA yang efektif merupakan investasi strategis bagi bisnis untuk meningkatkan perlindungan data, melindungi reputasi mereka, dan meningkatkan kepercayaan pelanggan terhadap keamanan data mereka.

Abstract

In the digital age of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, organizations like BPRACo must undergo Digital Transformation (DT). A significant challenge is the lack of adequate information security controls, which can lead to DT failure. Smaller banks, such as BPR, face difficulties in adopting effective information security management strategies that are proven for larger institutions. This study aims to identify the application of ISO 27001:2022 standards and develop an information security management system focusing on the most critical annex clauses for SME digital transformation. It also seeks to evaluate and analyze the impact of an information security management system aligned with these key clauses on SME DT success. The research employs a five-stage Design Science Research (DSR). Data were collected through interviews and document analysis, then analyzed using the ISO 27001:2022 framework for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). The study identified six priority Clause and Annex controls for BPRACo. Based on the gaps, six essential solutions were designed, compiled into an implementation roadmap to enhance BPRACo readiness for full ISMS implementation and certification, supporting DT success in small banks. This research provides valuable insights and practical implications for information security management in small banks.

Abstract

Identity and Access Management (IAM) is a crucial element in ensuring the security of information systems within an organization. This study aims to explore the concepts, techniques, and implementations of IAM in the context of information system security through a literature review approach. With identity federation systems and Single Sign-On (SSO), organizations can improve efficiency in managing user identities and access to various applications or services without the need for repeated login processes. Identity federation allows users to access services from different organizations using the same credentials, reducing administrative burdens and enhancing user experience. SSO, as a core component of IAM, enables users to access multiple applications with a single login, simplifying access management and increasing productivity. However, security challenges remain, especially concerning data leakage risks and potential attacks exploiting its vulnerabilities. Implementing security technologies such as multi-factor authentication and role-based access management can mitigate such threats. This study concludes that effective IAM is essential for the continuity and security of information systems in modern organizations.
