With all the limitations experienced and the potential it has, the deaf child needs to be equipped with life skills and one of them is the skill of making batik. Research Objectives to: 1) describe the process of planning a batik skills training program; 2) describe the strategy of implementing batik skills coaching, and 3) describe the evaluation methods for developing batik skills of deaf students in Blitar City. This study uses a qualitative approach to the type of case study research. The study was conducted at SLB in Blitar City. Data was collected through interviews and observations, and analyzed using content analysis. The results of this study indicate that: The process of planning a batik skills training program is held in a meeting that discusses the identification of field needs and formulating learning objectives which are then compiled in a lesson plan that is aligned with K13; The strategy of developing batik skills in collaboration with batik artisans in Pakunden, the Wali Murid Circle of Friends, and the implementation of classes; The results of the work of developing batik skills are evaluated through the provision of appreciation in the form of participation in bazaars, exhibitions, competitions and also used as a uniform as a school identity. Abstract

Children with mild intellectual disabilities need to receive optimal educational services during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study aims to analyze inclusive education services for children with mild intellectual disabilities during the pandemic. The finding shows that inclusive education services in the sub-district of Setiabudi, South Jakarta need improvement and improvement in all aspects, from teachers, curriculum, media and in terms of parents. All components must contribute to providing optimal learning services for children with mild intellectual disabilities to match the vision of inclusive education itself, where schools make adjustments both in terms of curriculum, educational facilities and infrastructure, as well as learning systems tailored to the individual needs of students. Thus the results of this study can be used as benchmarks for us as academics, especially for policy makers to contribute to improving the quality of education, especially inclusive education services for children with special needs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the giving of rewording in the form of stickers with star images, in increasing the sitting resistance of autistic students during the learning process. This study used an experimental method with a single-subject research approach. The subjects of this study were sixth-grade autistic students. Researchers made observations during seventeen meetings, all observation data, interviews, and action tests were presented in graphical form. To measure sitting resistance, researchers used a stopwatch analysis tool. The total results of the research on the initial conditions for the five meetings were 2 minutes, 2 minutes, 4 minutes, 3 minutes. Furthermore, in the intervention condition for seven meetings the researcher gave reword in the form of a star sticker image, the results were 4 minutes, 3 minutes, 4 minutes, 6 minutes, 5 minutes, 7 minutes, 8 minutes. At baseline A2 conditions, the results of sitting resistance after being given treatment were 5 minutes, 5 minutes, 6 minutes, 7 minutes, 9 minutes. These results prove that giving rewards in the form of star stickers in the learning process can increase students’ sitting resistance, but it is necessary to develop further research on this issue in different contexts and problems.

Abstract

This research aim to evaluate the competitiveness of Special High School (SMALB) graduates to enter the world of work and further study to higher education. SMALB curriculum consist of 70% vocational and 26 lesson hours and every student is given flexibility to choose two vocations. For SMALB graduates who are not ready to achieve industrial readiness, labor readiness, cultural access, job creation, it will be challenging. Tracer study used as evaluation technique for readiness of SLMAB to further study and enter the world of work. Researchers traced alumni especially in term of job search and further study and the use of competency gains at SMALB. The methodology design that used for the implementation of tracer study consist of four stages, preparation stages, implementation stages, and analytical stages lastly evaluation stages. The subject of this research were teachers and students of SMALB around Central Java Province. Accidental sampling used as sampling technique, which is a sampling technique based on google form which is distributed to all SMALB in Central Java. This was caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, resulting all the data acquired through anyone who accidentally or willing by its consent to responds the questionnaire sent to them. The research results shows that respondents have competitiveness, Alumni of SMALB have a high opportunity to enter higher education and enter the world of work, however it is not in line with the data filled by teacher that the majority (46%), alumni do not work and live at home.

Abstract

Students with hearing impairment (deaf) who have obstacles in processing mathematical concepts can experience this anxiety and fear, which causes them to dislike mathematics. The purpose of this research is to develop a game media of mathematics on geometry materials for tenth grade students with hearing impairment in high school special education. This research refers to the steps developed by Borg and Gall 1989 modified into 9 steps. The main field test subjects were 2 people with hearing impairment. The subjects of the operational field test were 12 people with hearing impairment. The results showed that multimedia according to content experts was very valid with a percentage of 87,5%. According to the media expert it was valid with a percentage of 76,67%, and the results of the SMALB teacher validation of 90,91% means very valid. The main field test is very valid with a percentage of 88,33%. The operational field test is very valid with a percentage of 85,83%. It was proven that 66,67% of the trial assessors considered the developed media to be very valid to use and the remaining 33.33% assessed that the developed media was valid to use
