Abstract

Tambak PT. Pillar Persada Parigi, belum pernah melakukan pemantauan menyangkut adanya infestasi parasit pada udang yang dikultur, setelah dilakukan pemeriksaan awal pada beberapa sampel udang dari sejumlah tambak, ditemukan adanya mikroorganisme yang menempel pada bagian karapas dan kaki jalan dari udang vanname dalam jumlah yang cukup banyak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis parasit, prevalensi, indeks dominasi, tingkat kesukaan dan intensitas serangan parasit pada udang vanname (Litopenaeus vannamei) di pertambakan PT. Pillar Persada Parigi.  Sampel  untuk pemeriksaan parasit adalah individu udang berukuran 9-14cm, yang tidak dalam proses molting atau post molting. Sampel diambil dari tujuh tambak yang dipilih secara acak dari 70 tambak yang ada. Sampling dilakukan dua kali pada waktu yang berbeda, dimana pada tiap sampling diambil secara acak lima individu udang pada tiap tambak, sehingga total sampel yang terkumpul adalah 70 individu udang.  Pemeriksaan ektoparasit dilakukan pada pereiopoda, pleopoda, uropoda dan telson dari setiap individu udang, sedangkan endoparasit diperiksa pada usus dan hepatopankreas. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa tiga jenis parasit, Zoothamnium sp. Vorticella sp. dan Epistylis sp., teridentifikasi menginfeksi udang vanname di pertambakan PT. Pillar Persada Parigi, dengan prevalensi sebesar 40% dan  intensitas sebesar 23,75 Nilai indeks dominasi yang diperoleh adalah 0,42, dan Zoothamnium sp. yang paling banyak ditemukan (334 individu). Analisis tingkat kesukaan menunjukkan ada perbedaan tingkat kesukaan yang signifikan (χ2(0,01)< χ2(hit)) dari parasit pada organ tertentu udang vannamei dan organ yang paling disukai adalah pleopoda.  Kata kunci: Infestasi, penyakit, akuakultur, intensif

Abstract

Abstrak Penurunan produktifitas budidaya ikan salah satunya diakibatkan oleh infeksi parasit. Ektoparasit sering menginfeksi kulit, sirip dan insang pada ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kesukaan ektoparasit Trichodina sp. serta kaitannya dengan kualitas air kolam budidaya. Dalam penelitian yang telah dilakukan, sampel benih ikan nila diambil dari kolam pendederan dengan sistem resirkulasi di Balai Perikanan Budidaya Air Tawar (BPBAT) Tatelu sebanyak 20 ekor sampel, sampel diambil  dalam keadaan hidup, pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara acak (random sampling) dengan ukuran tubuh ikan 2 - 4 cm. Pemeriksaan ektoparasit dilakukan pada kulit (lendir) dan insang dengan menggunakan  mikroskop. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan parasit Trichodina sp. ditemukan pada semua sampel ikan yang diperiksa.  Organ yang diperiksa, lebih  banyak ditemukan pada bagian kulit (lendir) benih ikan nila sebanyak 685 individu sedangkan pada insang 412 individu. Hasil analisis tingkat kesukaan diperoleh bahwa x2 hit. 67,92> x2 tab. 3,841 yang menunjukan bahwa parasit Trichodina sp. memiliki tingkat kesukaan parasit berbeda  terhadap organ tubuh.  Data kualitas air  dengan nilai pH, amonia dan nitrit melebihi standar baku mutu SNI disebabkan oleh sistim budidaya resirkulasi pada kolam pendederan. Hal ini memicu perkembangan parasit sehingga menginvestasi semua sampel ikan baik pada kulit dan insang dengan tingkat keragaman yang berbeda. Abstract

Intensive cultivation activities that have now been developed cause many problems of damage to the cultivation environment due to high stocking densities. With the rise of aquaculture technology, it is necessary to conduct research on alternative methods of cultivation with high stocking densities that do not have an adverse impact on environmental sustainability and good fish quality. This research was conducted in December 2022-February 2023 using a tarpaulin pond. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of different stocking densities on the survival rate and growth rate of the Dumbo catfish (Clarias gariepinus). This study used an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 3 replications using stocking densities of 250, 500 and 750 individuals/m3. The main parameters in this study were survival rate and growth rate, while the supporting parameters in this study were water quality (temperature, pH, DO, ammonia, nitrate and nitrite). The results obtained from this study were the average survival rate of catfish (C. gariepinus) for treatment A (250 individuals/m3) of 88.5%, treatment B (500 individuals/m3) of 7.15% and treatment C (750 head/m3) of 82.9%. The daily growth rate of catfish (C. gariepinus) for treatment A (250 individuals/m3) was 7.25% body weight/day, treatment B (500 individuals/m3) was 7.15% body weight/day, and treatment C (750 head/m3) of 6.91% body weight/day. Water quality during maintenance is still in the normal range, with a temperature of 27.3-30.9 0C. pH of 8.28-8.61. DO of 1.41-5.68 mg/l. ammonia of 0.3-3.5 mg/l. nitrite of 0.02-0.09 mg/l and nitrate of 2.12-2.79 mg/l. The results of this study cannot be concluded that different stocking densities have no effect on survival rate and growth rate of catfish (Clarias gariepinus). Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas air pada budidaya kepiting bakau di Desa Kuala Indah Kab. Batubara. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Budidaya Perairan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Asahan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan April sampai Mei 2023. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan enam kali pengamatan. Tambak sebagai perlakuan yang diteliti meliputi Tambak I (T1), Tambak II (T2), Tambak III (T3), Tambak IV (T4). Peubah amatan meliputi kualitas air pemeliharaan, pertumbuhan mutlak (lebar karapaks kepiting dan bobot kepiting) dan kelulushidupan kepiting bakau. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas air pemeliharaan kepiting bakau di Desa Kuala Indah Kec. Sei Suka, Kab. Batubara terbaik diperoleh dari tambak keempat (T4) dengan kisaran suhu 29 °C, pH 7,22, DO sebesar 4,33, kadar NO3 sebesar 0,67, kadar NO2 sebesar 0,05 dan kadar amoniak sebesar 0 ppm. Kualitas air berpengaruh terhadap pertumbuhan kepiting bakau dengan lebar karapaks hingga 6,68 cm dan bobot hingga 38,7 g pada tambak keempat. Kualitas air berpengaruh terhadap kelulushidupan kepiting bakau dengan persentase hidup sebesar 73,33% pada tambak keempat. Kualitas air di perairan Desa Kuala Indah Kecamatan Sei Suka Kabupaten Batubara cukup baik dan sesuai untuk budidaya kepiting bakau. Kata kunci: kelulushidupan, pertumbuhan mutlak, mangrove

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of fermented horse manure media for the propagation of Alona sp. The research took place at the Aquaculture Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Sam Ratulangi University, Manado. The study used an experimental method with 12 experimental units, consisting of treatment A: fermented horse manure with EM4 solution, treatment B: unfermented horse manure, treatment C: yeast (5 ppm), and treatment D: water. Each experimental unit was inoculated at the initial stage by 10 Alona sp. which is placed in a glass jar with a volume of 500 ml. The water quality of Alona sp. culture media was measured including temperature, DO, and pH. The results of propagation of Alona sp. according to the analysis of variance, it was found that the differences in treatment between the culture media had a significant effect. The results of the BNJ follow-up test showed that treatment A was significantly different from treatments B and D, but not significantly different from treatment C. Water quality measurements on day 6 to day 15 for treatments A, B, C, and D ranged from temperature, 26.3-27.3°C, DO 6.5-7.3 ppm and pH 6.2-6.5. Abstract

The purpose s of this research were to determine the effect of fish meal substitution withmaggot with different compositions on absolute, relative, and daily growth of tilapia fry,determine the effect of fish meal substitution with different maggot compositions on theefficiency and FCR of tilapia seeds. This study used a completely randomized design with 5treatments and 3 replications to obtain 15 experimental units. The results showed that fish mealsubstitution had a significant effect on fish growth, feed efficiency and FCR. Feed with theaddition of 40 grams of maggot, namely treatment A, gave good growth results compared totreatments B, C, D, and E. The proximate test results for each treatment found that feed treatmentA, namely the addition of 40 g maggot, showed better protein content compared to treatments B,C, D, and E. For absolute growth, the best results were shown in treatment A of 3.49 grams,relative growth of 112.58%, daily growth of 2.51%, feed efficiency value of 77.79%, andconversion ratio feed of 1.28. Abstract

This study aimed to identify the parasites in tilapia seeds cultivated by the Matelenteng Fish Cultivation Group in Tumaluntung Village, as well as to analyze the prevalence, incidence, dominance index and preference level of parasites in tilapia seeds. This research was conducted from May to July 2023 in Tumaluntung Village, Kauditan District, North Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province. Parasite examination was carried out on 15 samples of tilapia seeds which included the skin, fins, and gills of the fish. The fish samples were taken from the Matelenteng fish cultivation location in Tumaluntung Village, Kauditan District, North Sulawesi Province. The fish were taken from 1 breeding pond and put into plastic bags containing water, then given oxygen, and then brought to the Aquaculture Technology Laboratory of FPIK Unsrat for examination. Before the examination was carried out, the test fish were put into a bucket and given aeration so that the tilapia seeds remained alive until they were examined. Next, the length of the tilapia seeds was measured using a ruler. Examination of the tilapia seed samples was carried out using the smear preparation method where the examined organ was scraped, and the results of the scraping were placed in a Petri dish before being smeared on a prepared glass slide. Parasite examination was conducted using a microscope with a magnification of 100x. The inventory and identification results found 2 types of parasites, namely Epistylis sp. with 13 individuals in 3 samples of tilapia seeds and Dactylogyrus sp. with 2 individuals in 2 samples of tilapia seeds infecting the tilapia seeds. The prevalence rate of Epistylis sp. parasites was obtained at 33.33% or generally, there is a mild infection. Dactylogyrus sp. with a prevalence rate of 13.33% is classified as often infected with an incidence rate at a very mild level. The preference level of parasites obtained a value of X2 hit 3.74 < X2 tab 9.210 indicating a difference in the preference level of parasites in the tilapia seed body organs. Abstract

This study aims to determine the adequacy of feed because of fish waste and tofu leftover flour for the development of saline tilapia, feed efficiency, feed conversion ratio, and survival rate. This examination was directed at the Laboratorium Technology Aquaculture. The quantity of fish taken was 300 tilapia fish with a size of 5–6 cm and a typical load of 5 grams. The test feed to be utilized in this review was formed from different fundamental fixings utilized, then, at that point, added with fish waste and tofu squander. In light of the consequences of the examination of the impact of various feed equations, specifically fish waste and tofu leftovers, they significantly affect the growth of saline tilapia. Different feed recipes influence the development of saline tilapia. From the consequences of exploration on saline tilapia, freshwater fish can inhabit a saltiness of 20 ppt in a controlled holder in one month or less. Of all the development boundaries estimated in this review, feed 3 was the best contrasted with different feeds. The aftereffects of the investigation of the change showed that the feed detailing was unique to that of fish waste and tofu residue, and the impact was exceptionally huge. Abstract

This study aims to inventory the types of parasites that exist in the Center for Development and Development of Tateli Fish Farming (BP2HPI) Tateli. This research was conducted in April-July 2023 at BP2HPI, Tateli as the location for sampling 30 tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) seeds randomly in 3 nursery ponds, and then brought to the Laboratory of Aquaculture Technology FPIK Unsrat for parasite observations. Before examining the fish parasites, the sample is put into a bucket filled with water and given aeration so that the fish are still alive during the inspection. In this research activity, several water quality parameters were also measured, namely temperature, pH, and DO in situ. The procedure for examining ectoparasites refers to the procedure according to Kabata (1985). Parasite examination begins with observing the outside of the body, and taking notes if abnormal signs are found such as swelling, bleeding, the presence of black or white spots on the surface of the body, or changes in body color, then the presence of parasites is examined using a microscope with 400x magnification. The examination found 2 types of parasites that infect the seeds of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) at the Center for Development and Control of Fish Pests and Diseases (BP2HPI), Tateli are Ttrichodina sp and Gyrodactylus sp. The prevalence of parasites that attack tilapia seeds as a whole reaches 100% which is divided into 90% Trichodina sp and 10%, Gyrodactylus sp. Abstract

This study aims to determine fluctuations in water quality parameters and flock development in tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) aquaculture using the biofloc system. The water quality parameters studied were temperature, DO (Dissolved Oxygen), pH, ammonia (NH4), nitrite (NO2), and nitrate (NO3). The research was carried out at the Freshwater Aquaculture Fisheries Center (BPBAT) Tatelu, from May 2023 to June 2023, using the case study method. The average temperature during the study was 27.2oC, DO (5.05 mg/L) and pH (5.40). The average NH4 value was 0.58 mg/L. The results of this study indicated that ammonia began to increase from the first day and reached a peak on day 5 with a value of 0.77 mg/L. The average NO2 value was 1.12 mg/L, The results of this study indicated that the increase in NO2 occurred rapidly from day 5 and reached a peak on day 27 with a value of 1.92 mg/L, then began to decline. The average NO3 value was 25.21 mg/L, the NO3 value increased on the 12th day to a value of 35.1 mg/L, and this value began to stabilize even though there was a little pressure. The highest floc density was on the 34th day with a value of 34 ml/L, the lowest was on the 11th day with a value of 4 ml/L and the average floc density was 23 ml/L. Tilapia culture in the biofloc system had an absolute growth of 57.11 grams, a specific growth ratio of 1.5%, feed conversion (FCR) of 1.2, and survival of 97%.
