Abstract

The research was motivated by rise of student behavior who have not reflected noble character and still rarity of teacher internalize the chemical in the verses of the Qur'an. This research aim to determine the application of inquiry learning model internalized the verses of the Qur'an on the concept of buffer solution and get an idea of the level of students 'understanding of concepts, and obtain a description of Islamic character student responses on the implementation of inquiry learning model internalized the verses of the Qur' 's. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with one group pretest posttest design. Sampling technique is purposive sampling. The subject in this study is XIIA2 grader who amounted to 30 people, consisting of 8 men and 22 women. The data was collected using a pretest and posttest for understanding concepts, observation sheet to observe Islamic character, LKS for inquiry learning activities and a questionnaire to determine students' responses to the implementation of inquiry learning model internalized the verses of the Qur'an. Data processing is performed with N-gain test pretest and posttest values of the individual students, the value of N-gain of 0.80 which is higher categories were 19 students (63.33%) and N-gain value of 0.66 was considered a total of 11 students (36.67%), and obtained an overall average of the N-average gain of 0.78 is considered high. Abstract

Laboratory is one of the tool that is used to learn chemistry. In learning we expected that students not only know, but also understand the subject very well. Knowledge about theory that is scientific can be proved by doing some experiments in the laboratory. With the existence of the laboratory, students will understand more about the subject by doing scientific works. Therefore students will have a good grip on the scientific work’s step and their knowledge will last longer.

Abstract

The research is aimed to develop media of chemistry learning which based on technolgy and information esspecially for student of SMA/ MA grade XII semester I and to determine the value of quality of the media by scoring from chemistry teacher in SMA Yogyakarta Regency. The process of developing media through reviewing by learning media expert and also by peer reviewer. The instument for evaluating to the media is questioner which containing several aspects and criteria of evaluation and scoring. The scoring had done by five chemistry teachers of SMA/ MA in Yogyakarta Regency. There are eight aspects of evaluation and scoring with thirty six indicator of scoring items. The form of the result of evaluation is qualitative data that must be converted into quantitative data for determining of the media’s quality. The product of the research is media audio visual for practicum of oxidation reduction reaction and electrochemistry for student of SMA grade XII semester 1. The components of the product are using guidance to the media, student activity part, evaluation part, the answer of student activity, and also the profile of the researcher. Based on evaluation and scoring from the teachers, the media is reached level of quality as very good level with average score as much as 145.52 where the ideal score is 144. Based on the research, the media could be used to help student to learn chemistry in SMA/MA grade XII semester 1 chapter oxidation and reduction reaction and electrochemistry

Abstract

Using Abshar (visual) as one of the resources in learning has increased from one period to the next period. The more optimal in using abshar, the more successful in learning activities will be. The discovery of various theories in various branches of science shows the result of reading kauniyah from scholars. Furthermore, nowadays is the time of the sophisticated and modern where abshar has greater role in learning. People who do not use abshar optimally will fall behind and backwardness, because various means of science and technology can only be used by optimizing the use of abshar. Basically, long time ago the Al- Qur'an as a guide for all human beings has talked about optimizing the use of this abshar both in learning and teaching activities. This paper by using the approach of the Thematic Study (Maudhu'i) will try to review the use of optimization abshar in learning activities and teaching learning process from the perspective of the Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

Urgency curriculum development education courses chemistry Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Implementation of this research aims to be known: (1) How is the curriculum of Chemical Education Program currently in use, and (2) How is the curriculum of Chemical Education Program that is relevant to the times now. The research was conducted at the Basic Education Program Chemistry Faculty of tarbiyah UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh in April to September 2013. The method used in this research is qualitative descriptive, the population in this study is a faculty, alumni, and students of Chemistry Education Tarbiyah UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Retrieving data using instruments interviews with faculty, students, and alumni of Basic Chemical Education Program Faculty of tarbiyah UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. While the curriculum documentation talaah Basic Chemical Education Program Faculty of tarbiyah UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh and curriculum Document Basic Chemical Education Program FKIP Unsyiah Banda Aceh. The results obtained in this study are: (1) Get a picture of the curriculum of Chemical Education Program currently in use, and (2) Chemistry Education Program curriculum that is relevant to the times now for the Basic Education Program Chemistry Faculty of tarbiyah UIN Ar Raniry Banda Aceh. The conclusion of this study is mengatahui picture of Chemical Education Program curriculum currently in use, and the curriculum of Chemical Education Program are relevant to the development of today for Basic Chemical Education Program Faculty of tarbiyah UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh. Suggestions put forward of this research is to improve the quality of learning in Chemistry Education Program requires continuous curriculum development, improving the quality of teachers and increase motivation and interest in students' growth Study Program Basic Chemistry Faculty of tarbiyah UIN Ar-Raniry Banda Aceh.

Abstract

The purpose of the implementation of teaching and learning is for learning achievement, both in terms of process and in achieving the outcome is always influenced by various factors. To get the learning outcomes in a subject that is better then relates all factors of educators in the mastery and application of various teaching skills of learning such as the following, namely: a skill as opening lesson, questioning skills, skills to provide reinforcement, skills provide variety, skill explains, small group discussion guiding skills, classroom management skills, teaching skills of individuals, and closing skills lessons. Moreover, in studying a subject willing learners are required to carry out exercises to add a sense of confidence, a strong will to implement appropriate learning strategies, planning and good self-regulation in order to achieve high learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to reveal the creativity of the Inpres elementary school teachers in learning science and to build a specific theory based on the components of teachers’ creativity in selecting and using the media in learning science, factors that support teachers' creativity in developing materials, developing methods, and the steps conducted by the school in developing the teachers’ creativity. This research uses a qualitative phenomenologic interpretive by applying naturalistic model of Guba. The determination of research information was done purposively. Subjects of the research were teachers who taught science at grades IV, V, and VI. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation analysis, and were analyzed using the Bogdan model analysis. The data validation was obtained through perseverance of observation and triangulation. The triangulation was done with respect of sources, methods, and theory. Results of this research is in the form of a specific theory that the principal’s idea to improve the academic quality could encourage the teachers’ creativity in the science teaching and learning process at the public elementary school “Inpres Sido". This is in line with the social theory, including the theory of learning development within an institution, namely, that the social institutional changes occurred by developing insight or knowledge.

Abstract

Cooperative learning using the jigsaw type is a learning strategy that can foster effective communication, create an active learning environment, and can provide satisfactory learning outcomes. Many studies show that peer teaching is more effective than teacher teaching, the application of jigsaw type cooperative learning on the subject matter can improve student activity and learning outcomes, can also encourage good communication and high social interaction Fellow students. That is expected from the learning activity is the occurrence of student activities in learning materials chemistry subjects during the learning process took place by applying cooperative learning model type jigsaw classified as very good, the occurrence of student responses in learning subject matter Chemistry during the learning process took place by applying the model Jigsaw type cooperative learning is categorized as very good, and the achievement of learning achievement of students in learning materials of reasoning subject of Chemistry with the application of cooperative learning model of jigsaw type happened improvement of learning result belonging to good category.

Abstract

This study was a pre-experimental study through one group pretest-posttest design. The objective of the study was to see whether there was an increase in generic science skills of students with problem-based learning model in the group activities. The subjects were the chemistry students of 2nd semester in Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Unsyiah. The data collection was conducted by using the instruments such as group activity and multiple choice of generic science skill. The data of group activities was processed from the observation scores while the pretest and posttest were processed by using the average of N-Gain. Based on the data analysis, there were significant differences in the pretest and posttest results KGS after the application of PBL teaching model. Referring to the N-Gain, an increase of KGS occured in all indicators. The highest increase was found in indirect observation while the lowest in logic inference. In indirect observation and cause-effect law, the consistent logic framework gained an increase in the medium category.

Abstract

Learning outcomes is a whole skill and the results achieved through the learning process in schools defined by the numbers measured by achievement test. While the measure is to apply the measuring instrument to a particular object. Magnitudes numbers obtained, then gained significance when compared to the measurement results to a specific benchmark. Associated with discipline in this study is the tendency to use regulation as a guide in learning a subject and a tendency consistent implementation of rules in learning a subject, and the tendency of commitment to the provision of reward and punishment in the process of studying a course. So with so that there is a positive relationship between the Discipline of the learning outcomes of a course. It means that any increase to the Discipline resulting in the increase of learning outcomes of a course. And this shows if the Disciplinary enhanced the learning outcomes of a course increases. Discipline and vice versa if lower then the learning outcomes of the course also lower suggesting that the learning outcomes of the course is determined by the Discipline. That there is a positive relationship between the discipline of the learning outcomes of a course. This means that every increase of discipline resulted in an increase learning outcomes of a course. So for that, it can be stated that the relationship between the discipline of the learning outcomes of the course well. This shows if the discipline improved the learning outcomes of the course increased as well.
