Abstract

Exports in Indonesia progress quite rapidly.This can be seen by many exporters competeto market their products abroad. Exporterscompeting to provide and give the best fortheir customers. Therefore, it is neededactivities to protect the goods from pestsattacks with fumigation. Nowadays a lot offumigator are trying to offer the bestfumigation services for exporters.This study aims to identify and analyze theinfluence of service quality, price andpromotion to the customer's decision to usethe services of fumigation in PT SucofindoSemarang.Sampling using total sampling technique.With a target of 90 customers which use theservices of fumigation in PT SucofindoSemarang. Data collecting method usedquestionnaires, interviews and observation.Data were measured using a linear scale.Data processing with hypothesis testing usinglinear regression analysis.The result shows that there are 7 independentvariables affect the customer's decision to usethe services of fumigation campaign in whichpromotion variables are independentvariables that have the highest influencevalue. And the price variable is theindependent variable that has the smallestinfluence on customer decision variables touse the services of fumigation in PT SucofindoSemarang. Rated R sequare = 71.3% meansthat the variable relationship is quite tight.

Abstract

This article is a study of the Strategy Implemented by PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Pattimura Semarang Branch to Anticipate Fraud Related to Letter of Credit. The data used in this article are obtained through an interview with letter of Credit (L/C) department staff of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Pattimura Semarang Branch. The interviews were held 6 (six) times and each interview took two hours. As a paying or negotiating bank commonly honors drafts or makes payment to beneficiary (exporter) based only on documents, the bank may bear risks of financial loss. The potential financial loss by a bank is due to the custom and practice of documentary credit among the parties involved in an L/C transaction, which are based on documents, not on goods. A bank commonly honors draft presented by a beneficiary since the required documents presented to the bank are in compliance with terms and conditions stipulated in the L/C to prevent potential financial loss, the bank applies a certain strategy of carefulness.

Abstract

Kesehatan sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar. Politeknik Negeri Semaraangmerupakan salah satu perguruan tinggi yang melengkapi fasilitas untukmahasiswanya denganmenyediakan Klinik Kesehatan yang dimaksudkan untuk memberikan pertolongan danpengobatan kepada mahasiswa. Meskipun fasilitas yang diperlukan sudah disdiakan bukanberarti pelayanan yang diberikan/ diterima mahasiswa telah memuaskan, oleh karena itu perludilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui apakah pelayanan klinik Polines telah memuaskan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pelayanan Poliklinik Politeknik Negeri Semarangyang terdiri dari variable Bukti fisik (X1), Keandalan (X2), Daya tanggap (X3), Jaminan (X4),Empati (X5) berpengaruh positif terhadap Kepuasan mahasiswa pengguna jasa klinik (Y),namun yang pengaruhnya signifikan hanyalah variable Jaminan (X4), dan variable Empati(X5). Untuk meningkatkan kepuasan mahasiswa disarankan kepada pengelola Poliklinik Polinesuntuk meningkatkan unsur seperti pada indicator kedua variable tersebut yaitu Meningkatkankeramahan petugas, Meningkatkan kemampuan menjelaskan diagnosa keluhan, Menyediakanobat obatan yang lebih lengkap (vaeiabel Jaminan), Petugas harus melayani dengan lebih baiksemua keperluan pasien, Petugas harus lebih memberikan perhatian penuh kepada mahasiswapasien/pengunjung, dan Petugas harus lebih tidak membeda-bedakan dalam memberikanpelayanan kepada mahasiswa pasien/pengunjung (variable Empaty).

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di kawasan kampus tembalang yang pada 10 tahun terakhir mulai menjamur usaha jasa laundry. Penelitian ini merumuskan masalah terkait dengan dimensi-dimensi apa saja yang mendasari variable minat konsumen dan faktor-faktor apa saja yang dapat mewakili variable minat konsumen.  Sedangkan tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dimensi-dimensi yang mendasari variable minat konsumen dan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang dapat mewakili variable minat konsumen.  Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey dengan mengambil sampelsebanyak 100 responden secara  purposive samplingdari suatu populasi pelanggan laundry di kawasan tembalang.  Sedangkan metode analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis faktor yang merupakan salah satu teknik analisis multivariet yang banyak digunakan dalam riset pemasaran.Hasil pengujian instrumen penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen valid dan reliabel.  Sementara hasil pengolahan SPSS menunjukkan bahwa Nilai Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) sebesar 0,857 melebihi nilai 0,5 yang berarti atas dasar uji KMO ini analisis factor layak dilakukan.Dalam penelitian ini untuk menentukan jumlah variabel yang valid digunakan nilai Eigenvalue. Dengan kriteria ini, faktor yang mempunyai Eigenvalue satu atau lebih besar 1 dianggap valid.  Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa dimensi-dimensi yang mendasari variable minat konsumen dalam menggunakan jasa laundry diidentifikasi sebanyak 25 komponen. Dari 25 komponen, atas dasar analisis faktor diekstrak menjadi 5 faktor yang dinilai valid. Kelima faktor yang dapat mewakili variable minat konsumen tersebutdiinterpretasi sebagai hospitallity, accuracy, guarantee, performance dan convenience

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the influence ofQuality of Work Life on Quality of Life case study on operator employee of Container Crane and Rubber Tyre Gantry PT Pelindo III (Persero) Terminal Petikemas Semarang. The independent variables of this research are Occupational Health and Safety, Compensation and Work Environment while The dependent variable is Quality of Life. The methods of data collection are questionnaire completion, direct observation and literature review. The sample of this research are 70 respondents and instrument tests used are the validity test and reliability test. The technique of analysis used in this research were multiple linear regression analysis and classic assumption test. The result of multiple linier regression analysis could be shown by the regression equation Y=27,213+0,605X1+0,463X2+0,824X3. Coefficient determination in this research was0.592, which meant that 59.2% of heavy equipment operator’s Quality Life could be influenced by Occupational Health and Safety, Compensation and Work Environment, whereas the remaining of 40.8% is influenced by others variables which are not observed in this research. The result of this research shows that Quality of Work Life had positive and significant influence at the same time on Quality of Life and the most influencing variable on Quality of Life is Work Environment

Abstract

Wirausaha dapat diartikan sebagai orang-orang yang dengan keberanian, ketangguhan, serta kegigihannya mampu menciptkan aktivitas ekonomi yang diorientasika pada pencapaian keuntungan atau laba. Pemanfaatan stik es krim dan limbah kain perca merupakan ide baru untuk menciptakan produk kreatif dengan mengurangi jumlah limbah yang semakin meningkat. Lampion Jomblo Itik dan Mbah Kaca merupakan suatu produk handmade inovasi dari stik es krim dan limbah kain percah menjadi kerajinan miniatur rumah adat joglo yang dijadikan lampion dan kain percah yang dijadikan boneka karakter kemudian dikombinasi dalam satu bingkai sehingga membentuk produk yang unik dan menambah nilai guna dari limbah kain percah yang biasanya kurang dimanfaatkan secara maksimal. Tujuan dari program ini di antaranya adalah: 1. Memotivasi dan membuka peluang bagi mahasiswa untuk menghasilkan karya kreatif. 2. Inovatif sebagai bekal berwirausaha sebelum atau setelah menyelesaikan studi. 3. Menjadi cikal bakal kemunculan produk usaha di Indonesia karya mandiri bangsa. Metode yang digunakan dalam melaksanakan ide usaha ini yaitu tahap perencanaan dengan melakukan survei pasar khususnya di area Tembalang dan Banyumanik guna mengetahui prospek dan daya beli sasaran usaha, tahap produksi, tahap pemasaran dilakukan melalui dua cara yaitu secara offline dan online. Total penjualan bulan April- Mei 2019 sebesar Rp. 1.660.000 dengan harga pokok sebesar Rp 1.022.000 maka didapatkan keuntungan sebesar Rp. 638.000. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, maka usaha ini sangat menguntungkan dan dapat bermanfaat bagi lingkungan sekitar

Method of datacollection using the field observation,interviews with officials of the Tourism Officeof the city of Ambon and stakeholders, as wellas reviews of Librarianship. Statisticalanalysis Statistical Analysis used isDescriptive in order to evaluate and explainthese forms of policy of promotion strategythat will run the statistics and analysis ofInferensial to know the relationship influencesthe cost of promotion by the number of visitsmatch the title of the research, namelyanalyzing the influence of Darwin-Ambonpromotion cost against the number of foreigntourists visit. The conclusions from the resultsof research through observation andinterviews conducted promotional policyisconducted by the Tourism office of the cityof Ambon not right on target due to the lackof number of foreign participants in thisannual event, this indicates that thepromotion has been running policy needs tobe reviewed in order to enhance the appeal ofanimo Darwin Ambon Yacht Race, includingalso in this case is the cost of the promotionsbecame major elements supporting thepromotion of these activities have influencesignificant in terms of channeling informationto improve the number of participants in thisinternational event. Abstract

The aims of this study is to identify thetask of Human Resources Departmentand the implementation of employeesprocurement at PT Asia Pacific Fibers TbkKaliwungu. This final project usesdescriptive qualitative method. The datafor this final project are qualitative andquantitative and taken from primary andsecondary data source. Data were collectedby doing observation, interview andliterature study. The result of the studyshows that employees procurement ofPT Asia Pacific Fibers Tbk Kaliwungurefers to the job description, jobspecification, job evaluation, jobexpansion, and job requirement. There are4 processes of employees procurement atPT Asia Pacific Fibers Tbk Kaliwungu,namely forecasting and filing needs ofemployees, recruitment, selection,placement and induction. Implications ofthe discussion employees procurement at PTAsia Pacific Fibers Tbk Kaliwungu are inaccordance with the theories. It's just theprocess of selection, employees selectionsequence which is different, but it has thesame core. PT Asia Pacific Fibers TbkKaliwungu has its own policy in relation tothe procurement of employees. In theselection process, PT Asia Pacific Fibers TbkKaliwungu not perform medical tests. This isbecause at the beginning of the job opening,does the company has put a condition thatcandidate should attach a health certificatefrom a doctor, so the company does notperform medical tests.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze and discuss the effectiveness of Exchange rates and Loan interst expense used in partially and simultaneously on the value of Indonesia's Non -oil and gas exports from 1996 up to 2019. The analysis technique used in this study is linear regression, used SPSS software version 22. The research data collected during 24 years is time series secondary data. The explanatory research method in this research is to explain the relationship of one variable to other variables in a model, through the hypothesis test.This study concludes that found of model 1, has a partially significant effect, a positive of 43,90 %, between The exchange rate to Non-oil and Gas Exports. Model 2 has a partially significant effect, a negative of  79,60 %, between Loan interest expense on Non-Oil and Gas Exports. And model 3, there is a simultaneously significant effect of  81,30 %, a very strong relationship, between The exchange rate variable and Loan interest expense to the Indonesian Non-Oil and Gas Export variable.

Abstract

Recently the news about radicalism,terrorism, social conflict et cetera haveappeared in many printed and elcetronicmedia. In spite of the spirit to improve thequality of human communication in the globalera, this fact makes most people worried ofthe future of international or interculturalcommunication. Briefly this article discussesethnocentrism, stereotype, world view, beliefsystem, normative values, and attitude as thefactors which can be the constraints indeveloping intercultural communication.Some historical overview relating to the issueof intercultural communication is alsohighlighted.
