Abstract

This type of research is a pseudo-exprimen that aims to know the influence of the application of powerpoint learning media through guided discovery methods to student problem solving skills. It says pseudo-excrement because not all variables that can affect a student's problem solving skills can be controlled. Variables that are manipulated are only free variables that are learning by using powerpoint learning media through discovery methods and the bound variable is the problem solving ability of students of Inferential Statistics Courses. Through the analysis stage obtained a conclusion that the use of powerpoint media through the approach of learning discovery makes students more active in the learning process so as to provide stimulation to the thinking ability of students. In addition, through the activities carried out such as making observations and comparisons with several problems relevant to the material, obtaining guidance in making patterns as embryos of the meaning of concepts, being actively involved in discussions, there were significant positive changes to the problem-solving abilities of participants. Abstract

The results study indicate that the learning process in class VII-A semester 2 of SMP Negeri 2 Fanayama is increasing. This increase was seen in the processing observation sheets student the activities through the process of cycle I, namely the average percentage of observations student the activity 71,39% and the percentage experiencing an increase in cycle II, which was 76,6%. 77,43% experienced an increase in the process through the second cycle obtained by an average of 82,82% which explained that learning outcomes students class VII-A semester II of SMP Negeri 2 Fanayama 2018/2019 Academic Year the discussion lines and angles there was an increase. This increase is seen the processing the results of learning test process through the first cycle obtained an average percentage success 73,82% and the percentage of incompleteness of 26,18%; processing results the second cycle learning process test obtained average with success percentage of 75,87% and with percentage of incompleteness of 24,13% thus results learning process of have reached the graduation target.

Abstract

Learning is successful can be seen from the active role of students as both input and output, and the teacher as a facilitator in improving learning outcomes. Development of learning tools is done so that learning becomes more innovative, effective, efficient and has better quality. The number of students who still have problems in understanding mathematics, because teaching material is not interesting so it is not only difficult to understand but also not serious when learning mathematics. Scrapbook learning media can make learning more interesting because it displays the appearance that students like and is memorable for students so that the learning received is longer remembered. This research will produce a product in the form of ScrapBook based problem based learning. This research is a 4-D research and development namely Define, Design, Development and Disseminate. Assessment of student effectiveness can be seen from the results of learning tests conducted on a limited test using the Problem Based Learning Scrapbook based on VIII A class Muhammadiyah Junior high school 9 Surabaya obtained 80% including with good criteria. While the results of field trials on VIII B students have a total completeness of 88% including with good criteria.

Abstract

Pedagogical content knowledge (PCK) is one of the important elements in improving students' understanding because teachers are required to master teaching materials or subject matter (content) and master teaching science (pedagogy). As a mathematics education, students are also required to have PCK skills. This type of research is qualitative descriptive with the aim of analyzing the PCK ability of mathematics education students in microteaching courses as a prerequisite for carrying out PPL activities in schools. The subjects of this study were 34 mathematics education students taking microteaching courses for the 2015/2016 academic year. The results showed that mathematics education students were able to coordinate and compile all parts of the lesson plan well, especially in terms of systematics. This means that they have knowledge of the curriculum well, understand students according to the level of knowledge in secondary schools and know how to conduct evaluations. The results of the description of the implementation of the learning process, it was found that students were still lacking in teaching knowledge and about content, the implementation of learning was not in accordance with the draft that had been compiled and were unable to understand well how to present material according to the learning strategy in the lesson plan. Student PCK in the learning process still has many deficiencies, especially in the content, teaching and student sections.

Abstract

To face the challenges of today's education requires skills such as thinking skills, analytical skills, and also skills in creativity. Education with the approach of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) is a problem in the world of education in Indonesia today. The implementation of the STEM approach that is carried out in learning activities motivates students to be able to manage and carry out integrity through technology, as well as apply knowledge in everyday life. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the STEM approach (benefits and challenges) in Indonesia using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The SLR method is used to identify, review, evaluate, and interpret all available research on the topic area of the phenomenon of interest, with specific relevant research questions. The use of the SLR method can systematically identify journals, which in each process follow predetermined steps or protocols. The number of articles found was 56 articles with the characteristics according to the research target, then through the screening process 30 articles were taken, after that the next stage was the exclusion criteria for exclusion so that 25 articles were found for further review. The results showed that the implementation of the STEM approach in Indonesia had a fairly good effect on the creative thinking of students, student worksheets, student books and facing the industrial revolution 4.0, mathematical literacy and STEM implementation with robotics, as well as teachers' perceptions of STEM learning

Abstract

A matter of HOTS is one that can be used to measure students 'ability in problem solving, therefore in detail the purpose of this study is to find out how the students' mathematical problem solving ability in solving HOTS questions at SMK Nasional Makassar. The method used in this research is descriptive research. In data collection, two methods are used, namely the documentation method, in which this method will produce data in the form of student work, and the second is the interview method, in this interview, the researcher will explore how the students' responses and problem-solving abilities are. The stages to be carried out in this research include three steps: (1) the preparation stage; (2) the research implementation stage; (3) the preparation of a report. The result in this study is that the SMK Nasional Makassar students are still lacking in working on HOTS questions, this shows that less than 50% of students are able to answer up to 5 questions which are HOTS category questions. Where there were only 18 students who were able to answer 2 question numbers in the analyzing category and only 5 people who were able to answer in the evaluating category. While at the level of creating none of the students were able to answer correctly. This is because the ability and accuracy of students in analyzing and visualizing questions in the form of pictures is still lacking.

Abstract

The existence of work from home policy in learning encourages students to increase learning independence in the Covid 19 pandemic, online lectures applied by the campus require students to study independently so that the achievements obtained by students are not declining, so there is a need for suitable learning methods, one of them is E-learning module-assisted learning. The study aims to determine the effect of learning independence on student achievement in module-assisted E-learning learning. This type of quantitative research using Random Sampling, obtained a number of 182 research subjects even semester students in the academic year 2019/2020 on linear Algebra & Matrix sub-topics Linear Equation System. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire (questionnaire), tests and interviews. Data analysis using SPSS 2.2 application by testing the validity, reliability, normality, and regression. The results obtained by the magnitude of the effect of learning independence on student achievement in module-assisted E-learning by 73.4% and 26.6% are influenced by other factors with the regression equation Y = 8.863 + 0.426X. Students who passed KKM were 141 students (77%). Aspects of learning independence obtained motivation (28%), responsibility (25%), initiative (23%) and confidence (24%). From the results of the regression, the influence of learning independence on student achievement so that students are able to face obstacles in the conditions of distance learning by monitoring lecturers.

Abstract

This research is using descriptive qualitative methods through an online survey. The study was conducted to find an overview of the application of online learning in the Mathematics Education Study Program of the Universitas Sembilanbelas November Kolaka during the Covid-19 emergency. Data collected through questionnaires in the form of Google Forms and interviews by telephone. Data analysis was performed using the Miles & Huberman interactive technique. The results showed that online learning received positive and negative responses from students. Positive responses were obtained from some aspects including the availability of supporting devices, delivery of material, interaction, ease of lecture, time management, class organizing, activeness, independence, and support. Aspects that received negative responses from respondents were assignments, job descriptions and workloads, mastery of the subject materials, internet connection, internet costs, and distraction.
