Abstract

Abstract— Pada industri minuman ringan terdapat ruangan server dan ruangan produksi. Pendingin ruangan pada server room menggunakan Air Conditioner (AC) yang menyebabkan pengembunan pada server. Masalah tersebut dapat diantisipasi dengan menggantikan AC dengan kipas pendingin. Ruangan produksi memerlukan penampil status sedang produksi agar pekerja mengetahui produksi sedang berlangsung. Ruangan server dan ruangan produksi perlu inovasi dalam pengontrolan.. Dibuatlah sistem yang dapat mengontrol pendingin ruangan dan penampil status sedang produksi oleh operator melalui Human Machine Interface (HMI). Sistem terdiri dari master, slave-1 dan slave-2. Master berfungsi mengontrol Slave 1 dan Slave 2. USB to RS485 berfungsi sebagai komunikasi serial antara HMI dengan RS485. Kemudian RS485 to TTL berfungsi sebagai komunikasi serial antara RS485 dengan TTL (mikrokontroler pada Arduino Uno). Arduino Uno-1 berfungsi sebagai slave-1 yang mengontrol kipas pendingin bergerak dan LED menyala sebagai indikator server menyala. Arduino Uno-2 berfungsi sebagai mengontrol tampilan status produksi di LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) dan Motor DC bergerak sebagai pengaduk minuman. Kedua slave dapat diatur melalui HMI dengan pilihan mode-1, mode-2 dan mode-3. Mode-1 yang dipilih maka slave 1 aktif. Mode-2 yang dipilih maka slave 1 dan slave 2 yang aktif. Mode 3 yang dipilih maka slave 1 dan slave 2 tidak aktif.

Abstract

This research had aimed to describe the use of M-Learning in teaching English for Civil Engineering students at Harapan University of Medan. M-learning as Digital teaching materials were made based on the students need which consist of learning materials. M-learning as Digital teaching materials can be used by lecturer to create more interesting learning materials, by adding videos and animations. The use of M-learning as digital teaching materials was examined based on concepts understanding and students’ response. The subject of this research was 25 students of engineering students. The concepts of understanding were measured by exam test. The students' response was measured based on Likert-scales. The data analysis used was a descriptive statistic. The method of this research was quantitative method. Waterfall model was used in designing M-learning material. The results of this research is the score of students’ conceptual understanding x = (85 ± 8) and students’ response can be categorized very good (percentage of effectiveness are 85%). The results showed that the use of M-learning as digital teaching materials are effective to use in teaching English for civil engineering students at Harapan University of Medan.

Abstract

Teachers posses an essential role in advancing schools and students. Therefore, the quality of teachers holds a significant aspect since their main tasks are to educate, teach, guide, direct, train, assess and evaluate students. That being said, having professional teachers and teaching staff is compulsory for schools in order to implement quality education processes. For this reason, schools always encourage improvement of teachers’ work performance and hence improve the quality of the management system of teaching staff by monitoring teachers’ work in implementing their tasks so that they can achieve the predetermined competency standards. Central Lombok Regency is one of the regencies in the Province of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) with a total of 18 state high schools (SMAN) and a large number of honorary teachers. This study aims to develop a decision support system to facilitate the process of teacher performance evaluation using the MOORA method. Previously, the evaluation was performed manually based on direct observations by principals wherein they appointed potential teachers based on the evaluation criteria of honorary teacher performance. Such method is considered ineffective since it could cause internal conflicts among teachers and might cause some parties feel disadvantaged. To prevent this from happening, a system that can help in the process of evaluating teacher performance is necessary where the results can be used as references or recommendations for school principals. The first step taken is finding supporting data as mandated by The Minister of National Education Regulation No. 16 of 2007 on Academic Qualification Standards and Teacher Competency Standards. The criteria used in evaluating work performance of teachers are based on pedagogical, personality, social, and professional competence, with sub criteria. The data is then analyzed using (1) the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method to determine the weight of each competency, and (2) the Multi-Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis (MOORA) method to determine the highest alternative value or the highest performance value of honorary teachers based on a predetermined weight by processing the ranking. The ranking method is expected to be used as a solution in determining the honorary teacher who has the best performance based on the weight multiplication ranking of each criterion. The implementation of the decision support system using the AHP and MOORA methods can facilitate the process of evaluating the performance of honorary teachers so that the results can be adopted as a reference for school principals in providing recommendations for outstanding teachers who deserve to be promoted.

Abstract

Solar energy is an alternative energy resource that has been widely used today. Solar panels or solar energy cells convert energy from sunlight into electrical energy which can be a pretty good alternative besides using fossil fuel which is full of pollution. To obtain optimal energy, the angle of the solar panel surface must be in the right position so that it can absorb the energy from the light source optimally, because light source like the sun is always moving. The implementation of intelligent systems such as Tsukamoto fuzzy can be implemented in addition to the development of solar tracking which can improve the performance of solar tracking based on the voltage value received and determine the angle of the solar panel surface to find the optimal light source. This study developed a solar tracking model with Tsukamoto fuzzy implementation to determine the optimal angle of the solar panel surface.

Abstract

Lotteria as one of the franchises that produce sales data every day, has not been able to maximize the utilization of that data. The sale data storage is still not optimal. By utilizing sales transaction data that have been stored in the database, the management can find out the menus purchased simultaneously, using the association rule. Namely, data mining techniques to find the association rules of a combination of items. The process of searching for associations uses the help of apriori algorithms to produce patterns of the combination of items and rules as important knowledge and information from sales transaction data. By using the minimum support parameters, the minimum and the month period of the sales transaction to find the association rules, the data mining application generates association rules between items in April 2019, where consumers who buy hot / ice coffee will then buy float together with support of 16% and 100% confidence. Knowing which menu products or items are the most sold, thus lotteria Cibubur can develop a sales strategy to sell other types of menu products by examining the advantages of the most sold menu with other menus and can increase the stock of menu ingredients.

Abstract

Produksi adalah salah satu bagian penting pada setiap perusahaan. Produksi merupakan proses dari bahan baku menjadi bahan jadi yang mana memiliki nilai lebih tinggi bagi penggunanya. Tujuan produksi untuk merencanakan dan mengendalikan persediaan produksi yang mana menghasilkan output produksi sesuai dengan permintaan. Memperkirakan produksi berdasarkan kebiasaan dapat berdampak pada kurangnya ketersediaan produk di pasar dan adanya penumpukkan produk yang tidak menentu. Penulis menggunakan metode logika fuzzy dengan model Tsukamoto untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan perencanaan produksi.

Abstract

Sumber daya manusia di dalam suatu organisasi perusahaan merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk mendukung kemajuan dan kualitas perusahaan dalam mencapai tujuan. Kenaikana jabatan merupakan faktor yang sangat penting bagi perencanaan karir pegawai dan juga meremajakan suatu posisi jabatan agar diduduki oleh seseorang yang mempunyai kriteria-kriteria yang cocok untuk menempati suatu jabatan yang diusulkan, seringkali proses kenaikan jabatan dan perencanaan karir pada perusahaan hanya didasarkan pada factor tertentu saja, yaitu lama bekerja, penilaian kinerja, penilaian prilaku dan tingkat pendidikan. Pada umumnya promosi jabatan diberikan atas rekomendasi atasan atau unit kerja masing-masing berdasarkan lama bekerja, penilaian kinerja, tingkat pendidikan dan penilaian perilaku seorang karyawan dalam menjalankan tugasnya, Untuk itu maka diperlukan pengolahan dan penilaian karyawan yang dapat membantu mempermudah seorang atasan dan bagian HRD untuk mengambil sebuah keputusan yang berkaitan dengan promosi kenaikan jabatan seseorang karyawan. Metode yang digunakan dalam menentukan promosi kenaikan jabatan ini adalah Simple Additive Weighting (SAW).

Abstract

Cacao plants originated from South America, then spread to North America, Africa and Asia. In Indonesia, cocoa has been known since 1560, but has become an important commodity since 1951. Cacao commodity plays an important role in the national economy and is a national mainstay commodity. This shows that cocoa is one of the results of plantation commodities that have a high economic value and play an important role as a source of foreign exchange through exports, as well as encouraging the regional economy, especially in rural areas. But behind the high value of cocoa production, there are problems faced, including the low quality of cocoa in Indonesia because cocoa plantations in Indonesia are threatened by pests and plant diseases. Lack of information that is known by the plantation and cocoa farmers about the types of diseases that attack cocoa plants, causing many cocoa plants that are not handled properly. If this is allowed to continue it will impact on the declining quality and production of cocoa plants. Current advances in information technology, especially cellular phones, can be used as a means to improve public services, one of the results of the development of cellular technology is the birth of cellular phones with the android operating system. In this research produced if the symptoms data entered could not find the type of cocoa plant disease because the input data did not match any disease data in the database, the system would display the word "Can not find the disease you are looking for because it is not related to fruit rot disease, stem cancer, vascular antraknosem, streak dieback, upas fungus and root fungus ". From the data of symptoms, diseases and relations above, the algorithm is depicted using a decision tree. Decision tree is a picture of tracking symptoms, determining the disease and concluding results in the form of a solution. In this application, using the Forward Chaining method so that tracking begins with the selection of symptoms experienced then the results of the diagnosis in the form of cocoa plant diseases.

Abstract

Classification is a technique used to build a classification model from a sample of training data. One of the most popular classification techniques is The K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN). The KNN algorithm has important parameter that affect the performance of the KNN Algorithm. The parameter is the value of the K and distance matrix. The distance between two points is determined by the calculation of the distance matrix before classification process by the KNN. The purpose of this study was to analyze and compare performance of the KNN using the distance function. The distance functions are Braycurtis Distance, Canberra Distance and Euclidean Distance based on an accuracy perspective. This study uses the Iris Dataset from the UCI Machine Learning Repository. The evaluation method used id 10-Fold Cross-Validation. The result showed that the Braycurtis distance method had better performance that Canberra Distance and Euclidean Distance methods at K=6, K=7, K=8 ad K=10 with accuracy values of 96 %.
