Abstract

The city of Medan is the largest city in North Sumatra and has a variety of ethnicities and diverse cultures, one of which is the Malay ethnic deli. The cultural identity of the Deli Malays in Medan is inseparable from the relics of the Malay Deli Sultanate, one of which is the heritage of the building. The lack of information on the relics of the building and the ignorance of the public about this information so that people are less familiar with the relics of the Malay Deli Sultanate building. Therefore, we need a mobile application that can help the public to find out information about the relics of the Malay sultanate and the shape of the building in 3D so that people can see 360 degrees of the architectural animation of the heritage which is equipped with the history of the building's legacy. Augmented Reality (AR) is a method between the virtual world in the form of images (2D) with 3D animation then projected in real time and so on. This application uses the Markerless Augmented Reality (User Defined Target) method, which is making the marker formation by selecting the target selected by the user using a cellphone camera. The stages in this application include design design, 3D object modeling to application development. Based on the research above, it can be concluded that the application made can provide information about the relics of the Malay Deli Sultanate building. It is hoped that in the future objects from the Malay deli sultanate building will be added as well as displaying the interior and exterior supporting the heritage buildings such as fences, gardens, and others.

Abstract

Digital technology is now very sophisticated. Its use is widely applied in all areas of human life. Starting from waking up, human activities and others always use technology. In carrying out their activities, modern humans now almost all use vehicles as a mode of transportation. Today's vehicles use a variety of sensors as a sixth sense. The results of detection using sensors on the vehicle are usually displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle. Modern humans currently use sensors to complete their needs. Besides that, the internet of things technology is growing rapidly in its role and development to support the needs of modern humans. Micro-controller technology is also experiencing rapid and massive development. One of the most common and most popularly used microcontrollers is Arduino. In many streets in Indonesia, people still use vehicles not equipped with many sensors. One of them is a simple parking sensor that many old vehicles don't have. Parking sensor problems are needed at the time of parking so that the vehicle that will be parked does not hit other objects or vehicles. There are many types of ultrasonic sensors. The purpose of this research is to make a prototype ultrasonic sensor that is applied to vehicles and compare some of the most accurate ultrasonic sensors in measuring the distance between the vehicle and the object being measured.

Abstract

Convolutional neural network (CNN) is one of the neural networks used in image data. CNN has a good ability to detect objects in an image. This study discusses the comparison of two deep learning models based on convolutional neural network, namely the Inception-V3 method and the MobileNet method. Both algorithms are analyzed fairly on gender classification using eye images. There have been many research completions that have conducted studies on gender classification based on faces, but gender classification based on eyes has many challenges. This gender classification is grouped into two classes, namely male and female. This study aims to build a gender classification model from eye image. The processes in this research include selecting the dataset, preprocessing the data, dividing the data which is divided into training data and test data, modeling, and evaluating the performance of the model. This study uses a public dataset, where the data contains a total of 2,681 images consisting of 1251 male eyes and 1430 female eyes. This study concludes that gender classification using eye image using the Inception-V3 method is better than the MobileNet method. This is obtained based on the accuracy value generated by the Inception-V3 method which is higher than the MobileNet-V2 method which obtains an accuracy of 91.82%.

Abstract

Plants need water to grow well, so watering must follow the plant's needs. Parameters that affect the process of watering plants are air temperature and soil moisture, thus, we need a control system that can make decisions in the form of watering time to meet plant water needs according to their needs, namely an automatic watering system. Fuzzy method can be used for human-like decision making in a control system. This study uses the Sugeno fuzzy method which is integrated into the Microcontroller as the controller. Testing of this system is carried out on eggplant plants which are regulated based on how long the watering time is so that the air temperature and soil moisture are following the plant's needs. The test resulted that the effective watering time interval so that the eggplant soil moisture was maintained at 40-60% was 21 seconds. It can be concluded that the fuzzy inference embedded in the design has been able to overcome the problem of watering eggplant plants, where the test shows that after the watering process, the soil moisture value can be maintained at an average value of 55% so that the soil moisture is following the needs of the plant.

Abstract

According to government regulations of the Republic of Indonesia through the Ministry of Health, the hospital is a health service institution that organizes full individual health services that provide inpatient, outpatient and emergency services. The hospital can function as a place of final service by handling patients according to their abilities. Therefore, the facilities, infrastructure, and resources of the emergency room must be adequate so that they are able to cope with patients. In the case of COVID-19, the number of needs and capacities coupled with the need for demand forecasting and capacity management, especially in the emergency room at the Malahayati Hospital Medan is very necessary. So in this study, the mathematical model was built that could provide a solution to the problem of the need for demand forecasting and capacity management in the emergency room. The mathematical model for the exact outcome is determined by the relationship that exists between states and events. In this study, it is assumed that all events have a fixed probability, without considering drug administration and waiting time. For this reason, the method used the Support Vector Machine (SVM) which is expected to provide an estimate of how many people and capacity management needs are needed in the emergency room when the COVID-19 pandemic occurs. The mathematical model that was built was then simulated in the final part of this study using sample data taken from the Malahayati Hospital Medan.

Abstract

Competition in the corporate world is currently very intense, especially in the retail business sector, one of which is the retail food business. Building a minimarket retail business, provides staple foods that are unavoidable using information technology to support the smooth sales of these products. The use of this information technology has become a necessity in the retail minimarket business world whose aim is to provide maximum profits and minimal losses with promotions that must be done in terms of providing the best service in a retail minimarket that must use the best business strategy, but sometimes the retail minimarket manager constrained in determining the sales strategy. One of the factors is the difficulty of producing an analysis related to the products sold. Therefore we need an analysis of the application of data mining so that product sales at retail minimarkets are increasing and service to consumers is getting better. In this design data mining and algorithms are used, namely market basket analysis and Max-Miner. By applying the Max-Miner method in the data mining process for sales strategies at retail minimarkets, it will produce rule associations that will become product recommendations that will provide a decision in sales strategy for the mini market

Abstract

Text processing, which includes sentiment analysis, obviously demands a lot of resources. The extent to which resources are used to promote environmental conservation is directly impacted by code complexity or computational time. Twitter users' responses on the Indonesian Language of religious moderation and tolerance are used to test the model. The phases of doing the research include determining the research's needs, gathering data, text preprocessing (case folding, tokenizing, stopword removal, and stemming), word weighting with TF/IDF, and classification with Multinomial Naive Bayes (MNB) and Support Vector Machine (SVM), validation, and the last step was calculation of the code complexity and computation time. The validation results showed that the performance of the two models was still low, with an average accuracy of 75.5%. Based on computation time, SVM has a faster computational time than MNB. However, when compared in terms of the code complexity, the Cyclomatic Complexity in both models was the same because both models used existing libraries in Python Interpreter, and the complexity of the libraries cannot be calculated directly. Based on the Raw Metrics, it can be seen that MNB and SVM not significantly different in LOC, LLOC, and SLOC. It was evident that SVM has a greater Halstead Complexity than SVM in all measures when comparing the program code of MNB and SVM. Particularly on programming effort and volume metrics, SVM required more bits to run than an MNB program, and it also required more mental effort to convert a prepared SVM algorithm into a program than an MNB.
